  5. If you are into driving your car hard - spend the money on big brakes (gtst) and good suspension (if you havent already). youll be quicker through the mountains/time trials/track/anything other than a straight line. worked for me. easy to drive and control, stops hard and safe, quick in mountains/time trials, just slow off the mark.
  6. Whoever/wherever you got all that info is a pretty dud source.
  7. yeh but i dont like IT.
  8. Strutto - its an auto, thats what you get
  9. Ok, someone had a passenger on Sunday who broke their watch. Apparently they made it quite obvious they broke their watch to the driver. The person who broke the watch apparently dropped a little metal pin on the passenger seat, or maybe its on the floor, or down the side of the seat, or something. Anyway, I've been contacted to try and track down said missing watch part. If it was you please let me know, and have a look in your car.
  10. haha my car looks crap.
  11. Been there, done that, successfully.
  12. I've been a salesman for 1/3 of my life. What I need is a degree/qualification that i can do over 3-4 years, which gives me good wage on completion, monday to friday work, and the ability to earn more and more and more as I go on. Want to be on at least 100k after 5yrs of work. Any suggestions?
  13. Technically, in answer to your question - no. The NA exhaust manifold will not bolt onto the DET block. It will bolt onto the head though.
  14. go to a skidpan before you kill/injure the car/yourself/some poor innocent person you spoon. when you are young and starting out you need to heed this advice. it'll save your ass. PS. I grew up driving my parent's VS's exactly the same as you. You and that car are NOWHERE NEAR ready or suitable for drift. This is me in the blue R31 http://www.mercurymotorsport.com.au/events...llery/index.htm Thats a skidpan. Go there.
  15. There is a 3L GTS (GTS1 in the early series 1/2 shape, then GTS2 in the series 3 shape) these are based on the aussie 4dr sedan. The GTS-R is the import coupe job. GTS2 = around 140kw
  16. i sell cars. basically, the only 2 things in my life that aren't related to cars, are chicks and really belting myself at parties/nights out. (disclaimer - chicks = my long term gf) Its a hard life. No, really it is.
  17. With only 8 people going, you will get QUITE A LOT of track time, let me tell you. You will be able to make big progress in your throttle/slide control, and confidence.
  18. Thank you all for coming, it was a great day, and everyone was pretty well behaved. Well done Mark/slamm, its always good when you surprise yourself. Congrats to Deano, who was very impressive in his first outing. The 'Only Black Man of the Day' Award goes to Stevie Wonder (4 Doorz)... (at his request) Some of you missed the call of the day. After deano cut a quicker time on the skidpan time trial than John the instructor in the 2002 STI, I was standing with the instructors giving them shit about the STI being an understeering piece of crap (Tony loves them). Just as I finish, deano walks up and says "who was driving the STI? John turns around and says "me, why" To which deano replies loudly "You got nothin!" Game, set, and match, Deano. I'll organise another one in a few months.
  19. try Trevor Sullivan, who runs Brake Distributors Australia - he sponsors the QLD Chapter. Tell him I referred you and that you're in SAU, and he'll give you a much better price than super cheap or repco. 0414868555.
  20. Sorry to hear that Jason. We'll probably be able to sort it.
  21. try Steve @ Bob Jane Toombul, tell him the story, worth a crack. There might be a way to sneak into the article that he's a sponsor, giving him motivation.
  22. depends how fast you drive, and where on the gold coast. 45mins?
  23. talk to a lawyer who does traffic law john. may be able to nullify it on a technicality. maybe, mabye not.
