  1. I think so, but can't be sure.
  2. with an airbag you should get a qualified technician to look at it. Otherwise you could effect the safety of you vehicle.
  3. sorry for the triple post but where can I get one of those quarter glass size SAU stickers from anyway. Now that my car is back on the road I think I should have one.
  4. Don't think it was a one time visit coz I've seen him before...it was a bit earlier than I normally come through there. I turned off at stones corner and he continued through towards street machine.
  5. had no stripes. Sounded good though. standard plates.
  6. make sure you disconnect the fuel line in and not the return line. Easiest way to tell is the one that comes off the filter is the line in.
  7. disconnect one of the lines and put it into a bottle. Then crank it for 30 seconds (exactly) double it, then double it again coz fuel flow is only around half during cranking. You should get around 2 litres per minute. after 30 seconds of cranking you should see about half a litre in the bottle, maybe more. that will equate to around 2 litres per minute.
  8. anyway, have a good night. Have fun driving your car and hope the pump works out for ya.
  9. sorry, I think I just said the same thing twice in one sentence....tired.
  10. cool. I would start with the pump first. If this doesn't correct the problem then change the rack but that is a pain in the arse so only do it if the pump change doesn't work.
  11. The plugs are ok then. The ones on the passenger side (round ones with the black/white and yellow/red) these are diagnostic connectors. Don't worry about them.
  12. Tghe inhibitor has a relay, not a fuse I don't think
  13. sorry, it may be the plug which is lower down, closer to the ground. still back from the dipstick though. I think it was attached to the metal high pressure line.
  14. the female plugs--are they on the passenger side? one has a black wire yellow stripe and is right next to the reservior and the other one is on the back of the strut tower and has a yellow wire with a red stripe. They look very similar? Just wanna make sure these are the plugs you are talking about. The only ones you have to worry about are the one right next to the res. Not the round grey one but the flat one with the orange head. It comes off the cap of the res. The other wire is round near the dipstick. It should be right in front of the strut tower. Small grey plug two wires. This is the pressure switch. I'll check the fuse thing and no worries, glad to help out.
  15. it is terminal 19 on the ecu with ignition on, test voltage between 19 and ground. should be battery voltage when not turned and 0v when turned.
  16. hang on, I'll go down and have a look at mine and see if I can see the female plugs that you are talking about.
  17. it is literally no more than 5 cm's from the dipstick towards the driver(that's what the pic shows me anyway)
  18. the plug should be grey in colour and have two wires by the look of it
  19. it comes off the control unit that is situated on the drivers side chassis rail. Should be a metal box looking thing with lines going in and coming out of it. Thick lines like the size of your middle finger
  20. sorry, do you have an email address if not its ok...it should be just near the oil dipstick by the look of the picture
  21. I think this picture worked.
  22. yeah, the only other thing I can think of...and it's electrical....is the power steer pressure switch. which is right next to one of the pressure lines. Check that it is plugged in. Don't know how much effect this will have but it shouldn't. There is a way to test it. It should tell you if your pump is producing enough pressure also. I'll just read the manual and see if I can find it...I think it's terminal 19 on ecu to ground. Should be 0v when turning. I think...be back in a sec
  23. The only thing I can think of is are you able to change the guage? Maybe pull the cluster out and swap the speedo for an R33 one. Then you could use the 33 sender. Where the speedometer cable goes into the gearbox, are you able to remove that section of the gearbox? is there like a housing for the speedo sender. I forget, it has been a few months and I didn't really play with the box much.
