  1. Laurel or Cefiro? They're a bit quirky and cool. Not common and boring.
  2. What do you mean they were hard to bed in? I looked last night and there was reasonable wear considering about 10-12 hard laps at sandown.
  3. Yeah i've had some bridgy 235's and they were way skinnier than a dunlop 235 haha. dunlop sat square and bridgy looked stretched!
  4. Damn. Don't get an evo haha I've always like this car. Good luck with the sale. Where did you get the front lip?
  5. Yeah but I still think it doesn't look like 'my' car without the gtr bar. If I can find a good one for cheap I'll probably still go that way. It's on!!! haha. Got some N1 headlights on it now and it's looking more like 'my' car again haha. I should clarify that it was only the front quarters, bonnet and bar that got painted. Don't look too close at the rest of the car haha.
  6. No good man! Coming up to volunteer?
  7. Hey all Some of you may know that a drifted my car into a wall about June and have just been tracking it without the front being fixed. Finally got round to getting it all together. All up the crash cost me around $1500. Intercooler, lights, indicators and paint etc. Thanks to the generosity of Steve and Troy for the free front bar and reo. Legends! If anyone wants good paint for not a lot of money try James from Patti Panels in Campbellfield. He's been a great help and was flexible to fix/paint the car to the level that I wanted. I didn't want a perfect job coz I'll probably just smash it again! He'll do a top notch job too if that's what you want. Very easy to deal with. Anyway I'm very happy with the results! Here are some pics:
  8. I have some gtst indicators but don't need GTR ones. $80. If you wanna buy em send me a PM.
  9. Look on the website. I think you need to be over 18. I've booked in my girlfriend. Should be a good experience for her.
  10. Can anyone see a date on the website when it will be next year?
  11. do you know what the difference in diameter of a 235/45/17 tyre and a 235/40/18? I'm guessing only a few mm. I had 17x9 +38 with 235/45/17's and they were fine on my 32.
  12. Which straight is that? The one in front of the canteen?
  13. Crate engines mate.... Crane engines...
  14. I'll keep you updated as I go. I'll have a look to see how much mine are worn after yesterday. (My first day on them) How did you bed them in? how many laps do you reckon? I bed mine in over about 3 laps and then leant on them pretty hard and they were fine.
  15. AO50's are awesome. Love em. Although I've never had new RE55's. Wearing well on my car. 32 gtst with standard weight.
  16. ^^This is what I thought^^ and my car would weigh about the same as an S14. I have RDA slotted and dimpled 310mm rotors. Sandown has much more heavy braking than winton too. Maybe more cool down on the straights though...
  17. CC-X are great. They are hard on rotors. It's still a lot of money for pads. I just got the QFM A1RM's and they went well at sandown. Greg was very helpful and delivery was only 2 days. Very cheap for $130. I don't think I'll be spending big on pads again after how they performed at Sandown. I will monitor the wear but I get to about 220kmh before jumping on the brakes and they felt similar to my DS2500's.
  18. Wow. Hardcore!
  19. Some new times for me. 20. Oh and I also got the priviledge of doing a rick kelly from the kink to dandy corner. 1 full anti-clockwise spin through the grass to rejoin just before the left hander. Backwards at over 100k's was scary knowing the wall was right there!
  21. Well Dane didn't go well. I'll let him explain. I think he needs an RB20 though The day was poorly run and I only got 2 sessions. Just too many cars and they had long sessions. Like 12 laps or so. Meant a lot of waiting. Dane and I finally got on the track at 12:45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We didn't have rain at all. There was rain in the morn before I got there. Anyway after bedding in brakes etc I managed to get a 1:24.91 with a slightly untidy lap so still can go quicker. I'm very happy and again these AO50s are great. Love em. Wearing well too! It's good to see lap times come down. nearly 4 sec too! (Prev pb was 1:28.6)
  22. I've done a NA run home from winton. not fun ey. even on the hume I struggled to hold 110 up the gradual hills. Good work. Get it fixed for deca! How did you go anyway?
  23. Long weekend bump. Give me an offer.
  24. What car/brakes/fluid? All of these will be a factor. Most often it is fluid that brings on fade. Personally I've never had fade at winton with a 32 gtst with R34 310mm fronts. Good pads and fluid in most skylines will be fine.
