  1. I had my ECU chipped by Dr. Drift to fix some A/F ratio problems I was having. He wapped an R32 one modded and chipped for my ECU. I did find though that the mounting points for the ECU in my car were different to that of the R32 mounting points. A swap of the front and back plates though fixes this easily enough. Just something to watch if you doing a swap over ECU type mod. Will....
  2. Thanks for the help guys. Here's a summary of what was wrong and how diagnosed: Started with the idea of air in the lines somewhere as bleeding is cheap and easy to do with a mate with some knowledge. There was a bleed point on the master cylinder so we tried that first. No joy there so we traced along and found a bleed point at a T joint further down. No joy there either. Then we tried top bleed from the slave cylinder itself. No joy there but we noticed that the rubber seal on the slave cylinder was "balloon" shaped. Upon squeezing the rubber seal alot of fluid came out. and the clutch automatically returned to normal. The fluid pressure in the seal was not allowing the slave cylinder to move properly and was restricting how far it could return and that is what made the clutch point lower and not enough pressure to return the pedal to normal height. Solution: Rebuild the slave cylinder as there was a leaking seal. Will...
  3. The fluid level had gone down but was still between min and max. I'll have to have a good look for leaks. I've never bled a clutch before is this something I can do with the aid of a mate. Or is it best done by someone who has the right knowledge?
  4. Hi Forumn goers! Hopefully you knowledgeable people can help out here. My clutch peddle is now basically on the floor. The engage spot seems to have moved. Also when you release the clutch it seems to come up half way they stick at that point, then pop up suddenly. The clutch engages just fine and you can drive the car.... Anyone have any ideas on what this could be. I plan on taking it to a clutch person but just wanted a heads up before I go. Thanks,
  5. Hi, I posted this before and got a response but the pm and original post seem to be gone now. If you sent pm before please resend... A/C compressor from R32 with RB20DET. Inspected by A/C guy who said it looked ok. (apparently it worked really well on the car it was fitted to before as well). Looking for $150. Will post to anywhere in Aus. Buyer to pay postage. Thanks!
  6. Warmer oil would be thinner hence it would give up it's particles easier. As such I'd say engine, filter, cooler, engine.
  7. Hi, Can anyone recommend a good reputable suspension shop? I need to look into some suspension rebuilds... Thanks, Will...
  8. Surely the cop would have to prove it. You didn't happen to get any plates of cars that can vouch for your story? If you can prove your story then they will be hard pressed to pin that speed on you when there is no actual gun readout. If he wasn't following you then he took a "guess" at your speed which cannot be proven..... Apparently they are coming down on the cops for not fighting real crime. Maybe they will leave us alone and catch the real criminals....
  9. I don't think the actual diameter is any different. I believe the AFM off an RB20DEt is 80mm (not sure on RB25) which is the same as a Z32 AFM. I think the difference is the amount of HP it can aupport? Maybe the Z32 is more accurate or capable at high HP levels...?
  10. I don't think 0.65 bar is 13 PSI. 1 bar is 14.7 PSI or something like that... A new fuel pump is a good idea. But is the GTR going to flow what you need when you finish?
  11. Congrats! Colour sounds very nice....
  12. Throw the 4AGZE pistons in instead of the tomei's and it's a bit better deal... the 4AGZE pistons are 82mm and are forged apparently. But yeah for the cost it's not worth it for a street car... You could have a good wack at the HPI drag records for under 2.4 class though
  13. Meg, What do you reckon the 2.3 would cost as a comparo. Is this rods, crank and pistons from an RB25? I'm guessing it would require machining to fit these parts. Would the engine still be a good reving engine seeing as the RB25 is built for cubes not revs to develop power?
  14. I don't think the dyno was running in shootout mode. My power figure was down on last time at Goodguys and that was because the temperature was hotter than last time. Great day though. Love that RB26DETT powered R33. Most powerful car I've ever been in the boot of!
  15. Low impedance injectors are around 2-3ohms. You can change the impedance with a resistor.
  16. I just downloaded that trillian thing. Pretty cool... ICQ: 4278710 MSN: [email protected]
  17. For that R34 pipe problem issue no. 25 of the HPI magazines shows them making a custom pipe because the standard one collapses under boost. If you don't have it I can scan you a copy for your perusal..... Jay95R33 can you email me out that template too. Cheers!

    What To Do Tnite

MacDonalds. I hear it's lovely for Valentines day....
  19. RB25DET turbos max std would be about the same as the std RB20DET turbo. I think the VG30 with steel wheels can run higher but not sure how efficient.

Might be a good time to buy that vented headlight cover JMS are selling on their website
  21. Hey Inark you're a very talented man. That Rooster of yours is very believeable!
