  1. I can't see why you wouldn't like driving a powerful rWD unregistered car in the wet.... Looks like it might be just you and me on saturday.... *chuckle*
  2. If I catch public transport there would be major carnage I reckon *chuckle* Don't believe the weather forecasts they are hardly ever right. But because I'm going it's bound the rain, sideways even so it goes straight into the building *chuckle* ok cool I'll make sure to bring some meat and maybe a caesar salad or something.
  3. Ni, your going to find this funny.... It's really not my week for motor vehicles. I put my ZZR250 motorcycle up the ass of a ute yesterday on the South Eastern. So as some guy said to me at work today I now have two off-road vehicles.... But I'm still going to be there on saturday. Lucky I have three vehicles.... My wife said she may also come along. What do you want people to bring? I.E. salads, meat, drinks etc etc. Does anyone have a portable BBQ or is one onsite?
  4. BBQ this weekend could be a good idea. Got a mate from Sydney down this weekend who is into cars. I'm sure he wouldn't mind checking yours out
  5. People at work must think I'm crazy when I just burst out laughing. Threads like this should be labelled *caution when opening * like porno emails... Do you mean the friday of the 29th? If so then I won't be able to make it down You have let me check out the beast before you sell though ni....
  6. Thanks for the offer inark. Sam's doing some digging round for engines for me. He said he prefered something with warranty. Not doubting the condition of your engine and all but it probably doesn't have warranty. Not that warranties mean much anyway in the real world. Makes the wife happier though.
  7. I got my A31 officially green plated. Mine is a 90 model and didn't come in as 15 year old rule. I've had for about 3 years or so now. On the compliance plate my car is called a Nissan Matthews A31. The guy who did the compliancing was Alan Matthews. Coincidence, I think not
  8. I'll be in NSW from the 29th Oct till 7th of November. So if you can accomodate that I'd be most appreciative. Car is not what I'd call funny. Was going to get a front bar from Steve but now the money is going towards a new engine. Looks like another RB20DET for me for the time being.
  9. I just got told RB20DE and RB20DET gearboxes were the same. Correct me if I'm wrong...
  10. I've got a head start cause my car is at XTC atm. Engine is rooted. Sam and I are pretty sure it was an NA motor someone stuck a turbo and turbo ECU on. I'm up for a BBQ weather the car is fixed or not at the time. Would love to see CEF-ZLA and drool over an RB26DETT I can't afford
  11. Just a quick Q asI recently found out my engine is dieing and needs to replaced so looking at options. Did anyone use the RB20 gearbox or did you all swap to the RB25DET gearbox. I'm just wondering on driveability and reliability of these boxes behind the bigger engine. I understand that it would be easier to blow the box but if you aren't doing burnouts etc how risky is it? Thanks.
  12. Thanks for the tip off about the mag. I must say that the essential part of the car is the E-tag on the front window. It definitely makes it easier to drift
  13. Where would I look to find this gizmo. I'm not super mechanically minded
  14. I'm hoping to make it. Car's going in for some work so it will depend on how complex that ends up being

  17. I think it is because big car dealers don't like the secondhand market. They pay off the politicans so they make the rules to suit them. Consider this. A Toyota is not lcoally made. It is fully imported. You want power windows on that corolla well the base model does have it and to get power windows you have to go up a model. Why because they are fully imported. You could add power windows to the base model but that costs $250 per door and then you are left with a "plug" in the door where they have to plug up the hole where the standard wind winder was. Why because it's fully imported. If Toyota don't want to offer a flexible model range then expect people to import the car they actually want that Toyota couldn't be bothered bringing in. Don't punish the user for wanting something more than what they can get locally when the model they want is offered overseas. The government should be incensting the manufacturing to offering more choice. Just my 2c.
  18. Could be the camera angle. The BN website and the photo of the rear bar look similar to me. I think it's just the photos don't do it justice.
  19. Thanks. I tend to like the other bar better from the above photos.
  20. Excuse my ignorance but which bar is the "wonder bar" ? The darker photo or the lighter photo? Meggala do you have larger photos of both bars you could email me possibly? ([email protected]) thanks
  21. When are you looking at finalising the group buy? I'm interested in getting a front bar but when I buy depends on how much my car costs to get fixed. Car is booked in for a couple of weeks from now.... Thanks...
  22. It just gets better. It's not worth the effort but I wonder what would happen if you bought the air then claimed it wasn't from a 2540 but from a Trust TD06 or something?
