Need To Clear Something : 2Way Bad For Daily ?
C4a0s replied to cobrAA's topic in Drivetrain and transmission
i had a 2 way nismo GT pro in my S13 which was used as a daily... fine with me... friends found it a bit hard... down to personal preference? that said... the 2 way made a clunking noise when turning at low speeds... -
yea... aluminium nuts would shear off...i used abt 80-85nm when i was using mcgard wheel nuts which are really good and light. fully longitudinal engagement. but stay away from their fancy lock nuts though... the flower pattern on the top would shear the nut even when tightening by hand. broke 2, wrote in, got them replaced but have just kept them in the drawer since...

by hand or those air impact thingies?

i think the only issue is raining when parked and car's being washed. not to mention overnight moisture. even then, would it make the engine bay that dirty? how bout a standard bonnet with NSCA ducts?

do you tighten your wheel nuts? By hand or by torque wrench? just wondering...esp for the R32s and R33s... seems the torque settings can be rather different for different cars depending on how much interference the wheel stud splines have

Steering Wheel Suggestion Needed R32 Gts-T
C4a0s replied to Onyertod's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
auctions or ebay can find u a used Nardi which can be quite cheap too... thinner wheel, the feel is much better than stock.. -
oh...but if thats the case, wouldnt the N1 and Nur owners have a problem if they used their cars for daily and street use? what about larger aftermarket water pump pulleys etc... designed so that at higher RPMs there is no caviation... but they shd still work at lower RPMs rite?

Thanks mate...i felt it cost more than its worth because of the brand name... got it for about AU$500 brand new from japan... full FRP, no carbon overlay etc. (but it worked pretty well....esp above 120kmh ) Thanks Terry
