  1. I'm working on the video. Liam, can you send me the pics u took or post them up?
  2. As per our discussions last night, I've asked my cousin in NZ to go to the Dealership where I saw R34's about 4 years ago and ask how much service/owners manuals are. Once I get prices and check availability, I'll post it on this thread and we can get orders. I'm meeting him in 2 weeks so delivery here may be fairly quick.
  3. Mines the Manual Coupe, I'm 21, living in the Carindale area and I'm with Just Car - $1998 a year with about $800 excess on any basic claim. The car can be modified as much as I like as long as the car audio gear is <$2000 and its roadworthy. The car is for the agreed value of $33000.
  4. Oh, I might be a little late getting there (8:15pm at the latest). I have to go pick ppl from the airport.
  5. Oh, im taking a video camera along, would I be able to palm off a passenger to one of the non 34's for some motorway shots?
  6. Well at this stage it looks like 4 R34's. Yeehaa! Hopefully word gets out and we get a few more. Anyway, cyaz tomorrow night.
  7. hah, so true. I'd suggest that if they just want to look, meet us at BWCP cos we're not going to have too much room at the initial meeting spot.
  8. Lol, yeah, that would be right. I'll bring my GTR Z-Tune along as well
  9. I've posted it on Boostcruising but just with a link to here. This should allow us to get in contact with the remaining 34 owners out there.
  10. Has this been posted on Boostcruising?
  11. Im not sure how to contact other R34 owners but I know there was a guy with a spoilerless R34 coupe (light greyish brown colour) on the Massive Skylines cruise, the green 4 door around Slacks Creek and a yellow one I saw at Autobarn Capalaba once. Also, in one of the other threads, theres a black sedan with chromies as well. If anyone knows them, try to get them to come along.
  12. Yeah, in warmer weather, it goes to about 1mm below the 3/4 mark (almost 1/2 bar = 6.5 psi which is about stock level) but yesterday around Mt Tambourine, it was going to exactly over the 3/4 mark.
  13. I'm in. I'll bring along my video camera too. My MSN is [email protected].
  14. Metropol would be perfect for me and the upper carpark should have sufficient room. I agree that it should not be R34's exclusively but we should co-ordinate once there for some cool photo opportunities. I'm in for BWCP next week at this stage
  15. I'd say its a gauge issue only cos theirs no excess fuel/lack of fuel and performance is as per normal. I drove 35km on empty (with the warning light on). I will give the ECU reset a go.
  16. Well I'm in Carindale. Any suggestions for a meeting place?
  17. Did someone say R34 owners meet and greet?
  18. The fuel gauge has occurred again. I'm using the trip meter as my fuel gauge for the moment. It seems that once the tank hits about half way, the gauge drops quickly to empty. Restarting the car temporarily fixes the issue but then the needle starts going down. Does anyone know if resetting the ECU is going to help or if there is someone in Brisbane who would be able to fix this?
  19. Yeah, mine has some generic brand one (it does the job) but make sure u don't get the "not for use on forced induction vehicles" one that sells for $40. As for the installation, it should be pretty straight forward but you may want to look at the CAI boxes available on these forums. For about $120, u get a nice enclosure for the pod that incorporates parts of the factory airbox. These allow the advantages of the pod minus most of the hot engine bay air. If only the previous owner didnt throw out my original airbox... Also check the hoses that return to the airbox. There are two small hoses (diameter wise) in my engine bay that have been blocked cos I think they used to go to the airbox so you may need to do some blocking yourself. But a guarantee, you will hear the turbo spool up (from a distance too) and the factory recirc valve will sound loud.
  20. Awesome deal for the car. How many km's?
  21. Well, all I can say is that I'm in the same boat. Mines as stock except for a pod filter fitted by the previous owner. The pod makes the spool noise and factory recirculation valve sound "interesting". I've heard good things about autotech, mercury motorsports and Millenium Motorsports. I'm yet to have any performance mods but they've come well recommended. CES have also been recommended for exhaust to me for my car. PM me if you want to hear the difference just a pod makes to an R34. I'm on brisbanes south side
  22. Meguairs Plastx from autobarn is the shit that works. Cleaned mine in 20minutes and had the same yellow fade. Cost about $19
  23. OMG. I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but I just used some Meguiars PlastX on my headlights and the plastic has cleared right up. I used to have that yellow fade (that looks like its on the inside) with that slightly scratched look. I put some plastx and its worked soooo well. And for $19, its awesome. I even wish i took before and after pics but the headlights look brand new. Just thought I'd share.
  24. Hi, Today, I noticed that i left home with over 1/4 tank of fuel left and about 10kms away, i got the fuel light coming on and could notice the gauge moving. I pulled into the closest servo and checked for a leak - none. I checked for excess fuel consumption (fuel out the zorst) but it was clean. I filled up as much as possible and it would only fill 31L in the 65L tank. The car is performing as normal and theres no fuel pouring out the exhaust on or off boost. I believe it may be something wrong with the sensor but would like to check. I have spoken to another R34 owner and he said that a similar issue occured but was a once off. I think mine is also a once off issue cos the car was going fine and the gauge was working normally after filling. Utlimately, I would like to know if anyone has ideas on why this happened or if somone knows how to set an R34 GT-T 2door manual into diagnostic mode and knows what the codes are. I will mention that it was about 32 degrees outside.
