When my car had 3" split dump with Magna Flow Cat and cannon, i was defected at 98dB (at 4800rpm) but I know of a lot of cars that are louder. Now that I have a hotdog resonator (hi flow) and removable silencer, I'm at 90dB (the limit). Sorry to hear. I'll keep an eye out on the south side. Today while walking around Sumner Park (waiting for my zorst to get legalised), I saw Tuff33 (very tuff btw) and a White Stagea.

Yeah they did have the cop car parked along the left side but in front of the car. The walls of the carpark though may have contributed to resonance. The test area was the caravan section of BP Yatala and the closest wall was about 4m away. The 75% load was 4800rpm. The officer had a chart of engines and RPM's but based it on the R33 RB25DET so I guess mine should have been different. Tomorrow the muffler and resonator etc get installed and tested. I hope it doesn't drain too much of the performance... I will post after after sounds....

Yeah, thanks guys. The sound is awesome but I have been told by a few people that a silencer may not do the 8 or 9 decibels. In terms of the testing equipment, they use a microphone and a tripod and get u to rev. At idle, I was at 88dB and at 75% load (where they test it), it was 98dB. Well I should now mention that I got defected at the BP Yatala Super Servo on the way to BWCP. 98dB - the limit is 90dB. The car has a cat and a cannon so I guess I will need a resonator/muffler to quieten it down. Good news was that I didn't get a fine because the officer knew it was a brand new exhaust. I also have to secure my air filter.

Exotic Exhaust is located in Sumner Park (Jijaws St). The service is pretty good and I spent $1250 all up. It took them about 5 hours but they were busy and I got squeezed in. If u want to meet up at some stage to have a listen, PM me or u can pretty much get me on MSN ([email protected]). The car is quite loud/drowney in the cabin but apparently I'll get used to it (haven't driven it around much). There is a quiet spot between about 1800 and 2200rpm and then it gets loud and it goes quiet again after about 4500rpm. The performance difference is noticable though. At some stage tomorrow, I'll get pics of the dump and piping (u can see the top part in the engine bay).

Now, for the after sounds: Modded - Startup Modded - Light Revving Modded - Close to exhaust I'll post pics a bit later but if u can imagine a split dump pipe that joins after about 20cm then 3" mandrel bent mild steel through a hi-flow cat and into a huge cannon muffler (I didnt think it would be this big but it is). I may change the cannon to something less conspicuous.

My current system is stock and the new system will be a 3" split dump system (mild steel) with a stainless steel cannon tip. Hi all, I would like to know what these pipes being blocked means. I am referring to the T-Piece with solder on the end and the hose just behind that is blocked with a screw. A bit of background: the car performs normally with a steady boost of just under 7psi. Boost comes on steadily and doesnt drop at all. Is this a known mod and could the car have had a boost controller in the past. I think they're prestige personalise plates given the positioning of the QLD and the frame. Mine are and they fit like Myth33's. Much better than bending the standard plates into place.

I get about 520kms per tank (about 13l/100kms). I drive about 20kms a day into the City and maybe at least 1 highway (gold coast drives) on weekends. I dont thrash it much but my car is stock except for pod.

I think I got to keep mine as well. When u turn them one, they sort of charge up (go from low to bright in about 2 seconds). My car was imported in 2003 (does that make a difference) and was privately imported (not through a shop etc). I cant see bulbs just a silver cone thing and yes, the light is bright white. As for self adjusting, how do they adjust and under what conditions. I have a mate with a 350Z that supposedly has Xenons and they never move.
