  1. just tap into a plenum vacuum line
  2. one goes to the charge pipe (the nipple on the intercooler pipe), one from the pressure source (just t-piece a plenum vacuum hose), then the other is to the wastegate actuator (hat looking device next to the turbo). The manual should tell you which of the 3 nipples on the solenoid goes where.
  3. check the date of the original post
  4. here's the evc III manual, should sort out your problems. GL. http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/HKS_EVC..._III_manual.pdf
  5. i dont why you would bother with the T3, they are old technology turbos. turbos of good choice for quick spool up are what scar said, the hks 2530's or a cheaper alternative the r33 turbo.
  6. the experts are right, you'd be looking at a pretty damn strong monoblock to run those subbies. if u skimp on the amp, it'll work too hard and die pretty quick. if u cant afford to run the subbies then i suggest u sell one.
  7. i dont see how the ecu would learn with that mod.. i know for sure that it will temporarily richen up the a/f ratios off throttle though.
  8. thats from the richening of the a/f ratio during gear changes i think
  9. u dont _need_ engine management, but it does help with the overall tuning of the car
  10. turbo, dump, front, cat, catback exhaust. (sometimes the dump and front are 1 piece) i think the cam gears are a good addition to the r33 rb25, only seem good results from these as people reporting from 10rwkw, upto 15rwkw increase in the midrange, not to mention the turbo spooling up quicker.
  11. u sure the speedo isnt out of whack? the speedos are known to be out of whack alittle at those speeds, because my speedos seems to reading like 190km, but im in 5th gear and at 5k rpm, and hit the 180km/h speed cut.
  12. many people have installed the gtr pump and not heard one complaint from them, but for the same price u can get a new bosch fuel pump. (at the expense of a little more fiddling with installation, but if u do a search there are many guides on how to install one anyway)
  13. I've got a magnaflow 3" hilow cat and like roy, i have no idea how good it is.
  14. when i tried this mod,i felt my car was more slugish, crappier gear changes and more likely to have the famous stalling problem. i now have a s-afc which can fix this problem, but like alot of ppl say, nissan put a bov there for a reason
  15. if mario says its bad, then it must be bad
  16. you wouldnt gain as much using 1 bar of boost without an fmic as you would with say 10psi, the inlet temperatures would high as. at least get an fmic to make it safer on the turbo and to cool the inlet temps.
  17. its fine for the turbo if u dont run insane boost levels
  18. i'll give you $600, but im in vic and need to pay for postage. are you willing to post interstate? does it come with the rails?
  19. u could install it urself now (did it myself, not very hard if u know how to work with wires), but not get it tuned. it wont hurt nething and u get cool ricey displays till u can afford ur full exhaust to get it tuned. it will be a waste of money if u get it tuned now
  20. im pretty sure it is possible
  21. i think its more of a response issue more then "lag"
  22. fuel pump $300, boost controller $500, adj. exhaust cam gear $200, fmic $1200, leave the rest for ur rims. Those estimates are without including labour tho, if u can do urself then it would be sweet

    Hard Kandy!!

aha im a kandy and bubble junky, if anyone wants free/guest entry to bubble give me a holla and ill get u put onto a list as im a promoter
  24. I dont think investing in a pod filter is as good as/cheap as a good panel replacement (like a k&n replacement)
  25. dont be worried if u cant get it to program straight away , it might take a few runs to get the profec to program. Personally i had trouble uding 3rd gear and no trouble in 4th gear, hope that helps.
