I know they have Stella, had a couple there last week. anyway, ill probably be there, have a beer or 10. Someone may want to make sure they dont have a private function in the bar and grill bit, as they often do.
Winton Fun Day - 16 July.
Seeing as there is only one Winton track day on the calender this year this might be of interest to some people.
Time: Gates open at 7am if i remember correctly. Driver briefing at 9 - 930.
Requirements: No cams/AASA licence needed. Helmet and non flammable clothing. Long sleeves / pants
Cost: $25 for Drivers and $25 for passengers.
For those not familiar with these days they are in no way like a Sprint day. You are expected to drive at 80% of your ability and you are usually on the track with up to 30somthing other cars from some nice race cars through to the L platers in mums car. They run 30minutes passenger runs and 30 minutes w/o passengers
I cant afford to do the WRX winton so we are going for bit of fun to make up for missing the championship round at winton. I know there are lots of us not going to this so why not come and have an relatively easy (loosely used term) day at Winton.

What a weekend, comes and goes so damn quick!!! had a blast all day, the short tracks were awesome and the skid pan was nuts as usual!!! Thanks to everyone who made the weekend yet another success. Thanks mat for driving down for the day just to film, i will try to edit it all a bit and get it up sometime in the week. lots of good footage from what ive seen.
Cant wait to see the results & some more pics
heh, i may still have my old clutch layin round, but i doubt you would want to do that, especially at deca. the only good thing is your gearbox wont be hurt in the slightest as it will probably never fully engage with all the clutch dumping. as for putting everyone out i think we see it as something to do!!! would be a bit of fun;)
So i take it you arent going to DECA then?? you should do the box change over and see if it keeps staying engaged, then cancel deca. it may sort itself out with the chance over... glimmer of hope for ya.. Im free thursday too if ya go through with it
