  1. All helmets have to meet safety standards, the cost is based more on weight, and materials. i too use a relatively cheap helmet and it serves me fine. bout $180 a couple of years ago. Danes on the money, revoloution have a good range of helmets, but they start at about $600 from memory.
  2. Going by the results from the recent DECA even, comparing Adz in Juz's S15 to snowy in the Evo 8 'MR' and they were within 1 second of each other on nearly every skid pan event. As for a track car, i really think its up to personal choice if you are deciding between an R32 or an S13. Troys (roy) car has to be one of the best examples of an R32 still powered by an Rb20 in vic and it certianly gets the job done bloody well. Ive given it a crack at Deca and i love it, but the biggest difference to my car is the size. i have a 180 and it feels a lot smaller and nimbler.. so really it is what you want in the car. Be different, go the 32 with a 4 banger! i sometimes wish i did...
  3. i bought a sandwich plate from just jap, and they have 3 spots where you can simply screw in the sensors for the guages. doesnt cost much. but it is easier to put in if you have a oil filter rolocater kit.

    Deca Review

On the backtrack they were ok, a bit better than streets, just couldnt get temp into them. on the skid pad they stuck to the shinny surface so much i couldnt use my handbrake, hence i took the rears off... Verdict: never again! its also a pain in the ass changing tyres in the morning and after!. i had an average day, rushed to get all my skid pan runs in after we fixed the pedal and stuffed some of them up. i was stoked to get back out there, thought id be organising a trailer home.. but well done to all the rwd guys, right up there amoungst all the cheater cars and GTR's! Bring on the next DECA!!

thanks to everyone involved again. Thanks min for letting me take your car to fix my clutch, and mel and bigbird for helping me get it done! wasnt expecting to get home let alone run every stage! thanks to the guys who take the photos and videos too. goodluck mav, and here is to the memory:
  11. troy,i got mine put in yesterday by ray at RE. ran it in today. new oil tommorow. running it is easy, just finding a spot in the middle of the day was fun. Bunnings FTW. ill pm ya what he charged.
  12. is it a lot heavier pedal without the booster?
  13. The Brake, clutch and throttle peddals.
  14. Ill be doing Vic, Jarrods co-driving my car. Ive heard a few people mention that they will be doing vic this year, should be good.
  15. Thinking about it, i want to try out some slicks so if it is dry i will, but probably wont get up there till 12-1oclock tho.
  16. From my experience it is a great way to get into motorsport, its great to have a decent amout of time out there to get a feel, unlike a sprint day which is usually at most 5 flying laps, just dont cook you car because you have so long out there. keep an eye on all your fluids too. its also great for practicing passing, but can be frustrating being stuck behind cars with 'eleventy' billion hp but cant corner at all... once you have done a fun day or 2, you have to move onto sprint days!
  17. same, so it will be new to us. should be good.
  18. http://www.hillclimbracing.com/supregs/VHC...nd1_supregs.pdf $80 for a two day event, only need l2s licence, would many be interested in this? 24 & 25th feb
  19. looks boring, righteo.. it would be great to get hillclimb events that arent as expensive as say the buller or lake mountain runs. is it the Evo club that use this hill? any more details?
  20. Thats cool, i wish they ran a dedicated track day on the short track! bad luck matt,
  21. Given that it cools off, there should be lots of rubber on the track from v8 race experience during the day, so Aaron and Mr Stig, time to break into the sub 1 min.. .
  22. found it
  23. That would be a difficult one to scruteneer!! obviously they can only get you if they suspect it tho.. Its not wise anyway, tyre blowouts scare this shit outta ya!
  24. faxed, payed. Cheers
