  5. Super Special Discounted Advanced Car Control Course Saturday 19th July 2008 Driver Dynamics will be hosting a specially discounted Advanced Car Control Course at Sandown Raceway Melbourne on Saturday 19th July 2008. This course is suited to all drivers and is focused on raising the drivers awareness of vehicle dynamics, advanced vehicle control skills, and how even small increases in speed can dramatically affect the degree of vehicle control difficulty. The format is very much ‘hands on’, with the emphasis on practical driving exercises, including highway speed emergency braking, wet corner emergency braking, emergency lane changing, multiple direction changes, understeer and oversteer exercises, and vehicle stability exercises on our unique ‘split surface’ system. Normally drivers would expect to pay up to $300.00 or more to attend such a program, but we’re offering this date for only $160.00 per driver. Note that this price also includes lunch. Positions for this course are limited and filling fast, so if you’d like to attend please call Tessa on 1300 652 693 Or email [email protected]

  20. LOL - so you guys started playing on the net after I left last night huh?? Re CAMS or AASA, its completely up to you and depends on what you want to use it for as to what you should get. CAMS - $95/year - Level 2 Speed (L2S) CAMS is most commonly used, and even when events are run by AASA, CAMS are still accepted. Will basically let you do any club level motorsport event in the state. AASA - $50/year - Download the Club Racing License AASA can be used at events when AASA is the event insuring body. Only used at Calder and Winton & also for some motorkhana events held at DECA and the like. Ie. SAU-Vic uses AASA insurance for our DECA motorkhana events held in Shepparton. As I said, its completly up to you what you want to compete in. But if you think you might like to do a track day at Sandown or Phillip Island, then definately get the CAMS license. Hope this helps.
  21. VOTE YES!!!! http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/opinion Poll is 1/2 way down on the left hand side. I know its just a Herald Sun poll, but you never know if someone may take note of it.

  23. Due to the large number of people competing in the SAU Vic Championship this year, the Motorsport Committee is asking the following: If you enter this event, could you please read the information regarding classes and send an email to [email protected] stating which class you beleive you are in. It will make Ferni's job 10 times easier when he tries to update the standings following the event. Class info - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...-C-t203667.html Also - for anyone who competed at Sandown reading this - do the above if you have some time. Anyone competing in the Championship, can you please check the current championship file at http://www.sauvic.com.au/motorsport/2008SAUChamp.xls to make sure you are in the correct class and times are correct for previous rounds. Thanks.
  24. No one will be drunk, some of us just have a couple of quiet beers over dinner. Sorry, there will be no cruise. These meetings are more based on social chit chat and dinner than driving.
