  1. For low 13s you'll need a turbo upgrade. For the FMIC you can get the cheap hybrid copy kits off Justjap for around $600. If you go JDM brand, be prepared to pay >$1000 brand new.. Stock BOV will do the job. If you got for an atmo BOV you may cause stalling issues. ECU upgrade most people go with Apexi PowerFC.
  2. You will have to change (at least) the front guards, the bonnet and the front grille as the S2 headlights are a different shape.
  3. Philips diamond/crystal visions go for around $100. $30-$50 give you cheapo globes that may look nice but probably won't do as much in lighting up the road.
  4. H1 for low beams H7 for the series 2 foglights (if thats what you're talking about).
  5. The usual suspects: Just Car Insurance - http://www.justcarinsurance.com.au Shannons - http://www.shannons.com.au Famous - http://famousinsurance.com.au Young & Cool - http://www.youngandcool.com.au
  6. Yes. The 'Auto' word on the driver power window control switch is meant to light up. Not sure on GTRs, but for GTS-Ts, series 1 have a blue backlight for the switch while series 2 have a green backlight. The blue backlight looks alot better.
  7. For the V35 350GT, do the tiptronic models come with Brembos? Noticed on J-Spec's listings that all tiptronics have the normal brake calipers and the only ones with Brembo calipers are the manual models.
  8. I've noticed that when I don't need to use it, the rear demister light does not light up. But when the rear window needs to be demisted, it lights up! It's like the car knows when I really need to use it or if I'm just fooling around with the controls
  9. So do they reveal what type of engine yet?
  10. Spotted BNV00S R33 on Mowbray Road this afternoon.
  11. Looks like a mix of kits. As you said rear is Trial Sideskirts are Veilside.
  12. The M-Spec side skirts would sit too high up to have a nice flowing line with the 400R pods.
  13. 180SX is from 1996. Not sure about the S14A
  14. Should also be able to use the 180SX Type-X airbag wheel:
  15. Depends The replica 400R bars are sold in 2 different guises. One is the whole bar + pods as one piece of fibreglass. The other is pods + rear bar separate. If you get the whole bar + pods version it obviously won't fit, as the bumper will hit your standard pods. If you get the other version it will (you just attach the rear bar but not the pods) but it will look funny as I'm sure the stock pods and the aftermarket 400R bumper do not go together.
  16. Well if you're talking about atmo BOVS yes the noise would be similar.
  17. 99 GTO - ~$45000 99 R34 GTR - ~$65000 So you're just going to pull $20,000 out from where? Comparing a 33 GTR with a GTO is more reasonable.
  18. You can also try J-Spec for importing.
  19. Shannons is the best but since you're under 25 and probably not a member of any car clubs, I doubt they'll insure you. Keep in mind the years you go under your dads name generally do not count towards NCB. Goto JustCar Insurance website and then perform an online quote - they generally give pretty good estimates of what you should expect to pay. Anyway - you should've done all this research BEFORE you got the car. Naughty.
  20. Generally with the generic copies, some modification is require to fit. On the other hand, the more expensive JDM ones usually fit absolutely perfectly with little or no modification needed.
  21. I hope you enjoy washing and cleaning the bazillion spokes.
  22. If you put it exactly where you would put a FMIC, forget about it. I drive through rainy days and the FMIC gets soaked in water. Also, I doubt the filter can stand up to having all the little bugs, stones and other random shit that end up in a FMICs fins.
  23. This is my AFTER graph Before peak power in hi boost mode was only 185 rwkw with really crap low end. Low end was so crap I ran it in lo boost mode, which gave me better low end but a lower peak power of 174rwkw. Regardless of boost mode it would still run obscenely rich (AFR close to 7) at the top end. My rear bumper would also get very dirty quickly from running this rich.
  24. You could buy an auto and do a manual conversion. The Impul version is HOT. It will retain its value very well compared to other R33 sedans due to its rarity (and natural good looks). To make it quicker, you don't need to spend as much as $4000. Simply turning up the boost using a $22 valve will give you a noticeable power increase. The advantage with Series 2 models is that they are newer and offer additional safety (something you may be concerned with since you have a family) in the drivers and passenger airbags. If you import it will generally be cheaper but disadvantages are you can't see the car in person and also you will have to wait a few months for the car.
