  1. Which means it once was, but it has been disconnected now... perhaps!
  2. I would say it is something like a Kill switch, the handpiece has a Chip in it, that that car mounted plug can read. If it doesn't read it, there will be no power to the engine, ECM, starter. If yours does nothing I would say the 2 wires behind it have been re-joined to form a circuit. We have them at work on ground support exuipment.
  3. Did you use the brake glue on both the back of the pads and on the shims, as this will definately help? Just a light smear and it will let the pad settle in the right spot, especially good when bedding the brakes in... If you also file a chamfer on the leading and trailing edge of the pads, it will stop a small shoulder appearing on the pads that can cause a squeal, but not normally until a bit of the pad thickness has gone.
  4. Thank you FunkyMonkey... I thought so, just wasn't sure!
  5. Yeh, whatever... now your just rubbing salt into the wound.
  6. Oh, I don't know steal my thunder.... They seem like the same files though and there is no 32, 33 or 34. Good work, now there is 2 choices.
  7. Thanks for the advice and as you said only a guide. A couple of the files (R33 and R34) didn't initially work but I got them eventually.
  8. Not sure for how long but someone from G35 Driver Forums has posted all of the PDF's for the V35 Workshop Manuals. Must be very similar and would help at the very least. V35 Coupe Manuals & more... This will open the V35 Coupe Page. Use the links at the side to open the relevant car and then right click the zip file 'Save Target as'
  9. Anytime, and thanks to PSEDog from G35 Driver forums.
  10. Will you have time for a beer, whilst your here?
  11. The documents are very good, I have the whole collection now. R34 is scanned, but the rest look an accurate PDF copy, which are really neatly done.
  12. Ignore the above post, had a few to many topics open...
  13. Regardless of the the respray and for the future, 3M makes a great adhesive cleaner. Works great, spray on leave wipe off. Never damaged anything that i know of, but might be best to test on some surfaces. It is a bit like this US version, sorry can not find Oz type. http://www.shop3m.com/62466749306.html?WT....dhesive-Remover
  14. Just for info the files are all very good. R34 is scanned but still ok!
  15. I took a look quickly at G35 and there is a link to a website that you can download lots of different manuals, unsure of the actual quality as I am still downloading. This is the site and everyone should take a look... http://psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/coupe/ Use the links on the side for different cars.
  16. They look good, but if you can not integrate into the stereo there isn't much point, imo. A Bluetooth headset over the ear is what I use, that an Nokia Voice Dialling.
  17. Is this like having alloy hubcabs, a waste of time? Why anyone would want to stick something on their brake calipers is beyond me. Anyway, sorry back on topic.
  18. They get really dirty quickly and clean air is so lovely. There are normally pictures of how they look at Nissan Delearships, they are not unlike a standard paper filter but they are treated for microbiological contaminent particle trapping.
  19. Good work... Should be a better feel in the pedal, all the way through, except after repeated hard use fade will be almost non-existant.
  20. I know it is a little old but those files do not work, is there any chance that you can update them... Perhaps if you have a copy of them you could upload to www.megaupload.com, it is free for basic use! Would be a great help if you can assist.
  21. Yep, most shops that I know of want to use Dot 4, in fact Dot 5.1 is a very strange request. I doubt anyone would offer Dot 5 and if they do, I would be leaving.... Anyway, I always bring my own purchased from a motorbike shop. I think most of them would have it at about $18 per 500ml bottle, which will easily do a flush, including the clutch. If you need a full change 2 bottles is normally enough. My brand that I trust is Motul 5.1, which I think used to be called (or still is) EBF600 or something similar.
  22. Good stuff... just one question though isn't Dot 5 fluid Silicon based, which can (and does) swell seals and O-rings in the system? I have always used Dot 5.1, which I am led to believe is not based on Silicone.
  23. What be off track a little, but what is the V8 and what/where does that get put in?
  24. Which in my opinion is a really stupid idea... and highly illegal. Will still get mine to work when I find the right car. At least I know what I want, just have to drive a few now, before I make the plunge.
  25. Would that be a TT V35 Chris?
