  1. There is a red FJ20 bluebird going around that is quite fast.
  2. Entrapment DOES have legal grounds. My father just won an industrial relations case due to it.
  3. These are sometimes available on E-bay for those who missed out. Not sure what the quality is like though.
  4. As for that unmarked BA Falcon trying to egg people into racing at the lights, that is entrapment and is illegal on their behalf. If they tried booking you, you could easily challenge it.
  5. Yeah moving the license plate itself is easy, but there is one absolutely huge piece of the front bar behind it smack in the middle of the air damn which will probably need cutting out and meshing over.
  6. Yes we do get the ugly as shit clear tail lights. There are two around in Canberra, one that I see quite occasionally and I must say it sounds wicked.
  7. Stevie, Advance or Ultimates? I have heard some conflicting advice in regards to ultimates. Some say they suck at the track, yet others with similar cars and setups said they were fine at the track. ATM, I'm running Ultimates but they are almost worn and I have some RB74s on the way. The ultimates have been excellent on the street, a little noisy and dusty but saved me from a few accidents due to Canberra's moronic drivers. I will let you know how the rb74s are as I ordered them last week so they should be arriving mon/tues. Oh, and the reason I went for the rb74s is because I'm considering going to a track day (or two) at wakefield with some friends. Just need to get the boost turned down a little.
  8. Most likely me if you were on your way to Weston, was on my way home from work. Sorry I didn't notice you or I woulda given a wave. Oh and Terminal, I had a chat to the owner of a grey 34 at the Kaleen shops a few months back. She was a middle aged woman with her son yet was keen to chat to me about mine. I was impressed to say the least.
  9. Thanks for the offer Terminal. Ended up getting a few of the mates around and sorted it out. Was quite an adventure for me as I have never attempted something quite so extravagant before. Ended up using Abo Bobs instructions but decided I wanted mine higher up in the bar so that the return pipe wasn't so low (Blitz LM kit) so I had to do some errrr "alterations" to the front bar support. I've never seen so many people interested in getting an angle grinder near my car. Ended up getting it to fit brilliantly with only a few little hiccups along the way. Firstly I had to shorten the transmission cooler hoses as they were in the road. When I put them back on to the cooler one had a small hole leaking a bit of fluid which was a temporary setback. The return pipe also sits a tiny bit below the stone tray/underguard so it got a bit of a trim. I'm quite impressed with seat of pants results so far. Car seems smoother and doesn't heat soak anymore. Hopefully I pick up a bit of fuel economy. From what I understand a GT-T won't really pick up any power gain from a FMIC and my boost is already high enough as is. Weird thing is I don't really notice any introduced lag, still on full boost by 3000-32000 rpm and I also haven't seen the boost drop at all, was thinking it might drop by 1 or so psi due to pressure drop across the cooler. Oh and my advice for next weekend Terminal, get a few friends and tell them it could take quite a while (make sure you supply the beer, but also make sure its drunk AFTER you finish). It's not that complicated to do it's just test fitting and re-fitting and fiddling around that takes up lots of time. I figured I didn't want to pay someone to butcher my front bar support I'd rather do it myself and save $200. I also get the satisfaction that I managed to do it myself. And as for the pictures, unfortunately my french exchange student was going to the national museum so that got priority . I will take a few tomorrow. Still not sure how I'm going to remove the big airflow hindrance that is the license plate holder.
  10. Kaleen Trying to suss out a few bits and pieces but pretty sure this is acheivable. Just have to get my lazy friends out of bed.
  11. So who wants to come help me fit my FMIC today? I'll let you check out my cute french exchange student! Hehe Nah, in all seriousness me and a few friends are going to try to fit my Blitz LM cooler via Abo Bobs instructions. Could be a very interesting day, I'll make sure to take lots of photos of all my phuck ups.
  12. But of course the 34 is so far superior that it never gets dragged down into these petty arguments!
  13. Jay's isn't green it's silver.
  14. It's not that easy to change back as they remove the power, ballast etc. Occasionally you see a set for sale on here but technically they are defectable as they are not self leveling/cleaning.
  15. Wasn't me champ. I was over the other side of town by then. Must have been Envisage or another white 34 GT-T.
  16. V nice and I know what you mean about the thesis, was like a massive weight off my shoulders when I submitted mine. R34 GT-T rims by the look of it btw.
  17. Stock GTT cooler. Theres nothing wrong with it, a 30+ day and stop start traffic. Car is running fine and mechanic has confirmed this, just running very rich AFRs. Thinking of ditching my air guide as I think the air it is directing through the radiator would be better used flowing over the top into the engine bay as I have an oil cooler anyway. Maybe bonnet vent time too.
  18. I don't want any power gain. I just want my inlet temps not to be so ridiculously high. My intake side pipe was still almost too hot to touch after my car had been turned off for an hour after driving home from work.
  19. Thanks, the fuel economy is the primary purpose I got it for and secondly to allow further mods down the track.
  20. Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I just bought this kit and wanted to raise a thought. Looking at your mounting, maybe it is designed to go higher up in the bar hence why all your mounts didn't line up exactly and the return pipe sits so low? I'm tossing up whether to attempt to install this myself but I'm a little unsure if I want to make modifications to my front bar support and the back of the bar as its suggested needs to be done. Quite impressed with your tutorial but I don't want to make any serious mistakes. Also, did you get your car immediately retuned following fitting? I'm currently running rich as a pig so it would have to make a significant change to inlet temps to make it lean out. Although from memory you are running the stock ECU so it couldn't have been done. Hmmmmm..... Cheers
  21. Sorry to hear about the negative attention, but like everyone said, people at college can be really immature. It's surprising how many people that wouldn't give me the time of day at college will now want to stop and chat when I run into them. Personally I don't think you should let them get to you. Don't let others ruin something you enjoy. Also can I suggest that you think very very hard about buying an 89 GTR as things can and will break and it will add up very very quickly.
  22. I'm with you snooze. Today is a ridiculous excuse for flower shops and cards to raise their prices 500%. If you really love the person you are with you should be looking after them all year, not just on one day. And I'm single again so today just makes me grumpy.
  23. I was considering this but I won't have time to lower the boost in time so that I don't have a ceramic wheel meeting with my cat converter. I will definitely be up for one once I get a good tune and a few parts fitted.
  24. So we pay the rest once the wheels arrive at the end of april?
  25. How's the pricing work for staggered sets? Ie 8.5 front, 9.5 rear. Possibly interested in a bronze set as I get my bonus paid in March/April.
