even if you did that you would still need the AC controller as the one on your current dash is built into the radio.

I believe the height is set by the strut and you set the pre load of the spring to match the height. If you raise the strut by 40mm of thread (by turning anticlockwise), raise the spring by the same amount (40mm). This will maintain the preload that has been set which if its the same as the front it should be 4mm (thickness of the spanner). The preload keeps the springs captive at full droop... Someone correct me if im wrong.

Hey mate this is a common problem and its actually happening to me at the moment. It is an expensive fix and would be more worth your while to do what im doing and upgrading to a double-din headunit (Clarion CX501 to be exact) The auto a/c is a feature of the car that controls the fan speed etc depending on the temperature and the engine temperature so if you want to warm up the fan speed will be very low until the car is warm and the heater will actually work. Anyway the symptoms are the same at mine. New to this forum and thought id make a small contribution... When i got my car the fuel flap didn't sit flush with the body: When i looked closer it was obvious why it wasn't flush, the bumpers were squashed... So i searched around and found the part number to be 78837-AG000 they were a couple of bucks each out with the old, in with the new... beautiful. Hope this helps someone haha

Yeah mate the actual stereo connects to the fascia front plate "controller".

When you put an aftermarket radio in you have a special AC controller that plugs straight into the car rather than through the radio.

Alright so ive got a ticking noise.. i know a bit about engines but mainly older carbed ones. Local mechanic doesnt know what it is and ill probably be taking it to nissan next week. Thing is that it only happens sometimes, sometimes i will drive for an hour and the noise wont be there, but sometimes it is. i THINK the idle speed is different when its ticking to when its not ticking.. i havent really tested that so not 100% positive. It happens around 1500rpm when im stationary and when i rev it a bit harder or not that hard it doesnt make the sound. Main reason im confused is that it only happens sometimes. Hey guys new to the forum.. New to skylines but not new to Nissans or Datsuns. Heres some pics of my cars.

Couple more questions.. This is a bit intermittent, sometime everything works fine but sometimes the radio will reset and it will happen every few seconds, radio resets, air con light flash. if i turn the car to acc the air con lights will flash and i cant use the radio. When this is happening if the radio is on and i try and use the controls on the steering wheel the radio turns off and turns back on.. Im thinking an earthing problem.. just wondering where the earthing points are and if theres a special earth for the radio that i should check. Any info will be appreciated! heres some pics of the car, very happy with it (apart from the small dramas)

Hey guys new to skylines but not new to nissans (datsuns) picked up a 2001 V35 300GT sedan today just have a couple of questions. What is this button? its under the steering wheel? What does this mean? is it a service reminder? there is RCA cords coming out of a side trim in the boot.. on the RHS up the top. it comes out as RCA then is converted from RCA to a 3.5mm jack. Any ideas? Also where can i get replacements for these gas struts? And fuel door bumpers? mine are no good. Also from the drivers seat is the door lock button on the arm rest meant to lock every door except your own? My key unlocks the car but wont lock it? maybe i just need a new battery for it. ALSO what spec batteries are people using in their skylines? the one in it is no good. Sorry for all the questions hope they can be answered cheers.
