Usually an RTA inspection station (no, not the ones on the roadside!) can do them, or a Certified mechanic, if you call the RTA they should be able to tell you where your nearest one is. I've found that they are vary significantly in how they do a blue-slip. I had to Blue-slip an RB20'd R31 pintara (with full engineers cert) it had a dumper exhaust that sat just inside the rear bar, one place classified it as an exhaust leak, they called the 1 piece tailshaft illegal (it was on the cert), the tyres needed replacing (still above tread wear markers), and a whole heap of niggly little shit. I took it to another joint & they put a ball-joint into it and it was fine. Anyway, for blue-slip i would reccomend putting a stock-airbox back in as technically a pod has to be secured, in a box & engineered. FMIC wont be a worry as long as its mounted properly. Where abouts are you? (Canberra?) that'd help some ppl get an Idea of where you could take the car. good luck.

Why get rid of the Stagea just coz you're moving out to Bathurst? (I'm in Orange) and I've only ever seen 1 out here & I'm guessing they were on holidays! if moving is your only reaon, then think again, insurance in terms of location out here drops your premiums by about $100 over Sydney. By 'Bathurst type car' do you mean a commodore or a Ford... or a lumpin 4wd? You only hit roos if you dont see them, I've lived here for 12 years and only ever hit 1, on dusk @ 120kph with a bullbar! They're more likely to run into you. the roads are good enough out here... mind you dont go much further than Cowra or Orange or you'll find all sorts of new rattles... Anyway, dont just get rid of the car because you're moving to the bush, we could do with some more imports out here Good luck none the less!

Spotted an N/A 4door 33 for Sale, with 5 stud all around, apparantly the car was factory (at a yard) something was sus, as it had had a re-spray... but yeah, anyone know of 5 stud N/A?
-
Yes, you are correct! Skyline 'PCD' or stud pattern is 4x114.3 or 5x114.3, I'm not sure of the offset values for the 32's or 33's but I assume they would be simlar to the 31, however you'll have to allow for brake caliper clearance and clearance of the strut. They are the main issues when trying to find 4x114.3 rims. Like the others have said, it is hard to find that style rims. Workout what offset is ideal (for the R31 its +10 to +30 7 to 9" rims) Depending on what sizes you want, you'll have to work it out. Anything about +35 is going to give you issues clearing the struts. Like others have said nissansilvia & other silvia or Toyota sites are good, as they share the same stud patterns. if you have a good amount of money to spend you could always look at importing something from japan, as there are some amazing rims at decent prices.

If you're looking for something thats got all the manual functions you want, but isnt DSLR, have a look at the Canon A series... A630 or 640 is top of the line at the moment, I used to have an A70 - until it was flogged last year... best little camera, hardy, easy to operate, took a great pic for its age. They are quite large for a 'compact' camera, but I like that, a little bit of weight and something to hold onto comfortably. On the other hand, following the loss of my camera, I bought an IXUS 60 for my mrs, and for a pocket camera, they're great, enough manual controls to keep the budding photographer happy, but good point and shoot options for anyone to use. Personally I'm a great fan of Canon, I've always used them and never had an issue. www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au has the cheapest prices around, great service, and most camera shops will match them dollar for dollar or with a deal (ie throw in memory cards, batteries, tripod etc)

24 R31's opp. the RAAF base in Richmond... with 1 yellow N/A 34 & a 25det'd C210
-
prolly the reason why, not much manual ajustment available?
-
BAH, this BS makes me want to leave the red P's on after the mrs has taken the 31 for a spin - just to see what reaction I get with them on, coz they pay no attention when they're off... Saw an unmarked coppa here in Orange speed off after some P platers on the weekend, P'ers didnt do anything wrong from what I could see. Anyone From Orange on here, there is a number of 33's & 32's 2 silver (1 non turbo ricebox) 1 maroon 1 black a nice 32 4door (nizmo tuned sus) F/S a 32 GTR & a very tidy 2 door.

Hard way to do it isnt it, in terms of the dark-room, I thought ye old dodge & burn would have been much easier, perhaps not producing quite the same effect as produced. But a bit of clever lighting could help that along. Nice effort tho, I love playing with light

Can't say I know that one, not a 31club forum member... Keep an eye out around Windor - Richmond on Sunday. 7th Skyline day FTW. Headed to Panorama @ Bathurst. Should have 15>20 odd cars.

Supprise Breakages... Tell Your Story Or Saga...
B. J. replied to GTRNUR's topic in General Automotive Discussion
nasty! sounds as good as the Rb20det (NICS) conversion in my last 31... *shudders* bought it un-rego'd, passed blue slip with only a ball join in need. gearbox was noisy, but i soon discovered that 5th was non existant... replace RB20 gearbox... went home to the country (Orange) for a weekend, drove up our drivway, had to be towed out, long story short, the tensioner and idler bearings had packed it in, not only that, but the previous owner had put the tensioner in back to front. nothing like bent valves, $1300 in towing, repairs, new parts and labour had me with a happy Rb20 again... but during the fix some electricals were knocked, or whatever, and from that day on, i had a really really shocking cold start problem, to the tune of a tin of Aerostart a month. othere small things like a leaky pinion seal on the diff, a dead fue pump (on a main street) having a Power-steering pump die, which in turn put p/s fluid thru my alternator, burning it to death whilst at the In-Laws... where do you get an RB20 Alternator in LITHGOW... out of a VL thats where... cursed car! I should have drifted it, thats the only time it worked properly... sideways! -
I'll bump this one up again... Photo of a 1:24th scale HR31 GTS-R The camera went all whako on me and it filtered in pink... I recon it looks great. I currently only have a Canon A70. The series is a bloody good camera, you can do everything manual, but it'll still take quick happy snaps when you want. the latest model is upto around 10Mega pixels for under $600. (i think)

Yesterday: approx 1230pm Gunmetal 32 (perhaps a GT-R?) on Narellen rd - Campbelltown, chromies, driver was smoking, looked to have red-seat covers. between 5 and 530: Appin road Campbelltown: Black 34 Appin rd, Appin: Dark Blue 32 & a hot Pink 33. as well as a slammed S2000 with 19chromies being scrutinised by 2 rather unhappy looking cops... and an even unhappier driver. around 11:45 pm last night: "KLR33" just headed out of Albion Park around Wollongong. and on appin rd around the coal mines, some douchebag in a yellow Supra with massive white rims, didnt know what the left lane was for in an overtaking zone, sat on his ass for a few 100m waiting for him to give way, so i gave up and zotted up the inside.

Silver 33GTR with CL ### plates... headed down Mt Ouzley into Wollongong very sedately, stuck behind a slow truck, I gave you some room but you decided to wait... one very clean ride! I've also seen a yellow 33 and a black 33 GTR (i think) coming down there too And a Black 33GTST stopped next to me at the lights in Wollongong near Masters Rd, chick driver, older guy in the passenger seat. I didnt think to catch the plates.
