  1. serves me right for being blind - very resonable prices, especially the smaller parts (grill etc) ppl pay around that for 2nd hand goodies from the imports... I'd love a front bar for the project/daily dunno how the mrs would react to a $500 front bar tho. is the grill a 1 piece filler/grill? looks all moulded into one to me - just-jap spec?
  2. FANCY! top quality work. If i were to supply you with an R31 rear garnish - would you be able to create one using that? - just the bit in the pics with the writing
  3. HOW TO INSTALL A TRIP COMPUTER It may help
  4. Head over to the R31 forum, there is plenty of talk about the URAS kit, although opinions vary - generally they agree with whats been said here: front bar good, from there back its a bit over the top. Remebering also that the skirts and rear bar will only go onto imports. However the front bar may be a hot-ticket item if you bring a few of them in. People like Joel Mackerras (SA up and coming Drifter- see pic) and a few others will be keen if they're at the right price. What sort of money would we be looking at for a front bar?
  5. febreeze & alot of bi-carb. just sprinkle the bi-carb all over the floor n stuff and leave it sit for a few hours, then vaccie it up. probably easiest if you take all the seats out etc.
  6. GTS_143 on the R31 forums has a heavily modded RB30DE... had his first major run on the dyno the otehr day 238rwhp/177rwkw with more room to improve, timing, cams, high octane fuels, etc etc. yet to do a 1/4 mile on this setup, current time approx 14.2 @98mph @ 150rwkw.

  8. Needs more depth of field, lower shot angles and more sky behind the car rather than ground infront of the car. other than that they're pretty good also, late afternoon (about 20mins before sunset) is great for taking pics of cars.
  9. myself and a mate in our 31 GTS1's went for a photoshoot down on Pt Kembla (just south of wollongong) some douche in a white 33 thought it was fun to come along side each of us and drop a fully schit dose, shoot off down the road and weave between traffic Saw a beautiful red 32 GT-R on the way thru Appin on Sunday arvo... it was very sexual, I have a feeling it was widebody.
  10. Top stuff! Enjoy, they're so much fun for a point & shoot camera.
  11. Few of the 31 boys run them, they're damn sexy, I dont thnk they're BBS rip-offs... works or similar i think, I'll see if i can get a name.

  14. Supercheap is now offering insurance... has anyone looked into it, I coulnt get a quote for the GTS1 via the website. I'm with shannons, (and not gunna change!) R31 GTS1 agreed value of $6500, 2 drivers @ 23 - 1 on red P's paying about $750pa.
  15. Canon for sure with yer point and shooters... the A series is good for someone who likes a bit of manual control and the IXUS are quite good also, I've had both. Current point and shoot is an IXUS60 I think they're sub $300 now. Great little camera, many many people have been impressed by the photos it takes. I had an old A70 as well, very tough great for every-day stuff! till some mug in Melbourne nicked it while I was out on the track! can get them alot bigger now tho, I got the A70 in 2002.
  16. Thats great... there are some insane examples of this type of setup in Dubai and places like that. razorbacks rock.
  17. Yeah, I was behind them, but at that stage 30kph was nothing to report a driver about (although i recon he'd been down to the local for a few - hence why so slow, then so aggro) by the time he started acting like a tool I decided to be infront, and he sat that close on my date that I couldn't see his numberplate!
  18. Well, where do I start... I'll share my experience I had last Thursday. I was headed to soccer-training, and after filling up I pulled onto one of the more main roads in town (Orange, isnt THAT big, but its a well used road) and proceeded to be slowed to 30kph by a new, dark blue lancer. The lights ahead (200m) are green, and I'm thinking 'shit i could over-take and get those' but i was smart, thinking 'no if i do that I'll surly be spotted by the local cop.' I sit approx 1/2 a car length (R31 car length at that) behind the Lancer, not wanting to get too close, but kinda close enough to say 'you're going too slow' we stop at the lights to turn right. The road, very similar to what the first story involves, turns into a dual lane. I figure that he'll limp off the lights and I can go my merry way around him. Lights go green, the lancer guns it off the lights, thinking 'good, he's worken up' I follow at normal distance, Mid way thru the corner he slams on his brakes and sits in the middle of the lanes so I cant over-take. By this stage I'm thinkin 'dubyah tee eff mate' and when he moves over enough I go around, (only to have the next set of lights turn red) So I slow down, (slower than usual) and tap the brakes right at the line to stop a bit hard (prolly not the best move, but hey). As I move off, he hangs back and then comes screaming up the outside lane, I dont want to have a bar of this (you never know what an idiot in a car will do once they're infront of you) so I planted the old RB30 as well. 2 lanes merged into 1 and he had to squeeze around the inside of a car to stay behind - going over the speed limit i will admit. Now i've realised 'our' speed, I slow down with the Lancer still on my date, I can see him flashing his high beams, swerving left & right, with his indicator on, obviously wanting me to pull over so he can have a go, the other thing I noticed in my mirror was that he had a disabled sticker on his lower RHS of the windscreen... (yeah thats how close he was)... he feigns pulling over, and then comes again with the high beams and the rest... after which he stops on the side of the road & I keep on going. it was freaky shit, bit hard to tell in type, but it give you a good idea I hope. I feel like I didnt over-react, although I probably could have done less (like letting him overtake, but then you run the risk of goodness knows what... at least I had the situation under my control. I did nothing to provoke this bloke I'm not an aggro driver, I get pissed off at people who do the wrong thing, and I'm not afraid to use my horn when people do stupid things (like cutting lanes mid round-about while you're on the inside) but I never provoke. This crazy shit was out of the blue.... Scared the shit out of me!
  19. LOL! if it was fluro green and in Bathurst it would have been Arks old beast, there was a bloke on the R31 forums wanting to swap, yes swap, an un rego'd AE86 for a rego'd R31... I think Ark got the better deal, he's a top bloke. Random "spotted by chance from work" Boss took a pic of the Tattersalls Hotel in Goulburn and caught this 33...
