  6. hey guys. i am taking my engine on a stand to pirtek to get all my oil and water lines made up.one of which is the vct line. i could get a set made for you if you like. i will not put anything ontop. their price is your price
  7. stainless wont give up heat like aluminium will. always use aluminium except when near a heat source. ie exhaust manifold. even then a heat shield will go a long way to reducing intake pipe temps. i always paint my pipes matt black. i like the factory look. i even paint my bov and boost controller. you would be surprised that the cops dont see anything that is matt black.

  9. thats very impressive power! and yes the 1.6 60ft is very good for a rwd car. is that 400rwkw @20psi? we just made a bit more power. 343rwkw@25psi. you have more power at less boost. is your head modified? we are running an unopened rb25 with tomei poncams and splitfire coils only

  12. camshaft tab has been snapped off. im pretty sure i lined it up properly. will fit another cam to rule that out. does anyone know how many teeth should be from dot to dot with the pulley above the water pump?
  13. hey guys. a mate of mine has a rb25/30 which has been on the road for a few months. all of a sudden it got low oil pressure,we changed the pump and she still wont run. it sounds like a timing related problem but ive checked everything and its all ok. when it cranks the engine will fire and it spins backwards a little bit. im thinking that maybe the lifters are dry? would this cause such a problem? any help much appreciated guys:)

  15. with the 3.45:1 diff it bogged off the line and only got to 3rd gear by the finish line. so we are hoping that by using 4th gear(changed diff ratio) and not bogging off the line aswell as having the vct hooked up that a reduction of .7 seconds is definately on the cards
  16. ill be there next week with my mates rb25 vl. last time he ran a 11.7 @117mph. its a 5 speed and with the 3.45:1 ratio diff was crossing the line in 3rd gear. we also hadnt hooked up the vct yet. so this time we will have a 4.11:1 diff and vct hooked up and hope to break into the 10's. are there many 5 speed rb25 equipped cars running 10's?
