  1. The engine won't run with the NISMO AFMs on the VG30 setting. You need to add a bit of fuel at idle.
  2. Every series 3 GTR I have ever seen only illuminates 2 of brake lights. This includes two that I have owned, and neither had butchered wiring.
  3. Measure the voltage at the fuel pump before you bother. The OEM fuel pump relay is in the boot near the battery. There is less than 1m cable between the fuel pump and the battery. The voltage drop over that length should be negligible...I'll explain why. Assume the OEM cable has a cross sectional area of 1mm squared (it's actually much thicker) Assume 1m cable Assume resistivity of copper is 0.0000000168nΩm at room temp Now, resistance of the 1m cable = resistivity x length / area = 0.0000000168nΩm x 1m / (1/1000000)m = 0.0168Ω Now, voltage drop is given by current x resistance Assume the fuel pump draws 10A (should be a bit less) Voltage drop = 10 x 0.0168 = 0.168V Which is next to nothing Soemone please correct me if I'm made any errors
  4. Yep..your tuner locked the handcontroller.
  5. You are mxing up metric and imperial systems 0.10mm is 4 thousandths of an inch.
  6. definately not before the turbos...
  7. Or use the OEM airbox!!
  8. Easiest way is to block up all the factory lines, then mount the bleed valve on the passengers side of the engine bay. Get yourself 2 vacuum tees, tee of the charchol canister to the input of the bleed valve and then tee the output of the bleed valve and run one line to each wastegate actuator.
  9. I have seen a Hiace with a 7MGTE
  10. What clearance to Vernolia suggest? That seems pretty small.
  11. I still don't know what makes people think the subaru drivetrains are so weak. I've had 3 wrxs, all had a fair bit of power, and copped a hiding and never had a gearbox problem. I had an MY96 which has the weakest gearbox of them all. Took it to the drags a few times and was good enough for low 13s...never had a gearbox problem. Also had an MY00 STI with a bit over 200awkw. Took it to the drags lots of times. Had a best time of 12.6 (with no traction) and never ran slower than 12.9. Never had a gearbox problem in that either.
  12. Why would GPS coverage be an issue in Australia???
  13. Yes for the radiator cap and the oil cap still stops the oil from coming out.
  14. What Piston to bore clearance was it running? Sounds like the skirt may have picked up on the bore.
  15. Subaru WRXs use the smae MAP sensor that come with the Apex boost control kit
  16. Munchbox...you are mistaken. That price would be for LMGTMAG wheels, not LMGT4s.
  17. Can you pull the starter out of the GTR for me? It's only two bolts...
  18. Are these still available? What tyres do they have on them?
  19. Of course, but every major road in Australia has GSM coverage.
  20. Very true...the GPS trackers won't work underground at all. Quicktrak has some functionality underground, sometimes. The thing is though, with either system, you will see the last known position (ie the entry to the underground carpark etc.) Once inside, the car can't dissapear! However, at least with the GPS systems, you have coverage everywhere on the planet, with quicktrack (or anything esle that uses triangulation), once the car is out of range, it is gone...
  21. Please give me one decent brand that makes a performance tyre in an Asian country that's not Japan or Korea?
  22. As long as the engine is still reasonable healthy, there is no reason for it to drop power as it wears. About the only thing I can think of is cam wear giving you less valve lift, but you'd be would be pushing it to loose 5 thou over 300 000kms. The difference would e nothing. Compression shouldn't really drop with wear either. Dry compression might, but when it's running, the oil will take it up.
  23. Why would more kms make an engine make less power?
  24. You can't compare Korean manufacturing and quality control with that of China! Korean Manfacturing is up there with the best in the world now. Much better than most of the Europeans. Someone said that the Maxxis were $280 for the 265 x 35 x 18, you can get Japanese tyres for less than that.
