  1. to re-iterate : GT2860R - 707160 - 5 ?? Defitetly get he -5 models . They are extremely good turbos for street use with great response . Their are 2 other sizes of the these turbos -7 : Too small , good response but lack top end . Will not make full use of the potential of your engine -10 : Too big . Lack response but more top end . Too laggy for the street hope that helps
  2. it may be that the TCS/ABS computer required signals from the ECU , such as TPS . This is similar to how the auto works . This means those signals must be replicated by the ecu (which the r34 pfc would do) or you may be able to bridge the sensor outputs required for TCS . this is often how other ecus such as motecs and autronics are installed to work with tricky features like traction control , automatic gearboxes , stability control etc
  3. i can only vouch for smaller items but every order i have with nengun has been flawless and I have never got stopped by customs last time I was looking for a jap catback though I found a deal in aus on a trust power extreme II that was not really any more expensive than nengun . it was about 700$ from autobarn at the time on special so thats cheaper than what your paying for 1/2 the 2 exhaust order without customs. you will probably find with lots of places doing jap catbacks at realy good prices nengun is not much cheaper after freight and not worth the extra effort .. the 1000$ tax free is only on things in the mail , like EMS . If you use a shipping company the limit is 250 or something (have to check that but definetly lower) and I have always had to pay customs on freighted items , they seem to always get picked even for smaller items , last one was about 500$ in value still got caught in customs had to pay fees and duty.
  4. from what ive seen , and ive only checked breifly , theres mod chips avaliable to play games from dvd-r but they dont do hdd playback or media center/linux functions yet they do work with xboc live but that could change at any moment depending on what MS do when the chips become more widespread
  5. 9- twin turbos Turbochargers > GT28 Family > GT2860R - 707160 - 5 ?? definetly the -5s they will rock!

  10. hiya do 32 vspec gtrs run the same brembo calipers and brake pads as the other gtrs ? rotors seem to be identical but not callipers ? i need some new pads for my 32 vspec II and they seem to be different to 33 gtr pads could anyone give me the nissan part numbers I need for front and rear pads ? also on nengun its the same part number for endless pads all the skylines and s14/15 including vspec 32 so i am a bit confused EP230 R32 AU $ 142.48 Nissan - skyline R32 (GTS-t.Type-M, GTS-4) BNR32(GT-R V-Spec) R33 (Turbo) ECR33(Turbo) ER34(Turbo) - Front EP230/EP064 S14 AU $ 284.95 Nissan - Silvia S14 - Front & Rear EP230/EP064 S15 AU $ 284.95 Nissan - Silvia S15 - Front & Rear EP230/EP231 ECR33 AU $ 284.95 Nissan - Skyline ECR33 - Front & Rear EP230/EP231 ER34 AU $ 284.95 Nissan - Skyline ER34 - Front & Rear EP230SSS Z32 AU $ 142.48 Nissan - Z32( 89/7-02/8) Silvia S14, S15 - Front EP231SSS R32 REAR AU $ 142.48 Nissan Skyline R32 (2 Pot) R33 Turbo ECR33, Z32 (from 89 -) REAR ONLY
  11. no r33 bit ghey
  12. exactly how do dotars feel about changing raws after the import approval has been submitted ? I know of a couple that have happened because raws went bust/closed down ect but they seemed to want reasons can you just do it if you change your mind or buy the car before its complied off someone else ?
  13. unregistered traders im thinking of sponsering sau but whats the point , seems to be backyard traders getting away with flogging shit all the time for free you cant reply off topic to a thread u but apparently some guy can sell half a dozen radar detectors claiming their a "gift" who gets 6 radar detectors for their birthday I ask you? i great mum 6 radar detectors , one for every window of the car . just what I wanted!
  14. it has lots to do with the dyno IMO it probably has most to do with that . the only other factor thats variable here is AFR , a lean mixture will make more power with less air and rich mixture will require more air to make the same power . i would expect most people who have a tune though will know what to look for in their AFRs so most tuners would be roughly the same as they are aiming for good AFR curve , so not enough to produce great variences . there will also be some variance in the calibration of each individual AFM , they may vary voltage slightly for a certain amount of measured air due to age or tolerance but to get 30-40 rwkw difference i would say it would be mostly dyno variations with a bit of the above . i know my figures were on a notoriously conservative dyno
  15. technically adr 25 says : "ADR 25 requires that the normal function of the engine only occurs when the ignition lock is in the engine on position" however clause 5.1 says : "when the protective device has been activated (locked) it is not possible to activate the motive power (start the engine) by normal means".. so technically if the engine cant be started once the turbo timer has finished its legal the vaugeness of this adr has some states to adopt a illegal pov and others not to . here in wa TT is fine . personally i think be the letter of the law they are legal as once the turbo timer has activated it is not possible to start the engine again
  16. my rb25 afm was runing out of resolution on about 200rwkw , stock turbo at 13-14 psi , if it was a cold night (i assume because of air density
  17. the kit comes with all the lines you need though so dont worry if your buying it new
  18. market share is imprtant to the developers it will detirmine what they develop for , how much they invest in specific features and optimisations for a particular platform . it will affect size and quality of the library developed for the platform . ps2 was the least technically advanced last gen console but huge market share ensured the largest library of all the consoles i dont think i ever once dissed the ps3 apart from its cost and lackluster marketing from sony

  20. i thought in reference to GOW you were talking exclusives , not launch. the saturn was dual processor 32 bit system with 2 32bit video processors , thats about 2x as powerful as the ps1 . it was actually capabable of some basic 3d capabilities like transparency and light shading , which in 1994 is way ahead of the ps1 and woudnt be matched until the n64 . however it was difficult to program , particularly mutlitasking its 2 processors to acheive performance gains above single processor use and outside of japan it never really made a market impact. outside of its sega specific titles , virtua fighter , sega rally etc all those classic arcade ports , most of its games were ports from the ps1 . i cant list them all but heres the link to its library . all the big early 90s games were ported , wipeout , quake , doom , hexen , all those EA sports games nba live 95 etc etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sega_Saturn_games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Saturn again a very good example of what could befall the ps3 because a - it had superior hardware abilities which are complex and harder to program making it difficult and expensive for publishers to exploit its benefits b - it had smaller market share which again forces publishers to concentrate on the dominant lowest common denominator system i dont think sony is as crap as sega to the let the ps3 become a saturn , their just to big and powerful . but i dont think we will see the absolute market dominance of the ps1/ps2 this time round . it will find a big chunk but it will share that chunk with wii and 360 much more evenly . they have certianly f**ked up the psp a bit and ds is still kicking its ass
  21. not a big fan of 400r bars i had one on my last gtr and didnt like it much . i like the final konn front though so i think i will just try my luck on the fit of the ebay copy and hope i get lucky
  22. i can easily state 90% ports between the ps1 and the saturn . and remember the saturn was more powerfull than the ps1 and as for exclusives RFOM vs Gears of war . so far ive been more impressed by GOR . but thats about personal pref im not quite sure what your point is lots of 360 games are ports from other systems . losts of ps3 games will be ports from other systems . what is your point exactly , hat both systems have ports ? that launch titles are crap ? I still have a copy of time splitters the worst FPS known to man from ps2 launch so i dont think your exactly shocking anyone with that claim you ps3 fanboys seem to think everyone who has anything negetive to say about it thinks the sun shines from bill gates asshole . it doesnt , ps3 is cool , very soon i will buy one and sit it next to my 360 , which incedentally works perfectly and has had no problems so far . if you think the ps3 wont have bugs your in dreamland , im on my 3rd ps2 it wont suprise me if in the 8 year life of the 2 consoles I have problems with both . ms released their console 1st because they were ready . sony were not , particularly cause they waited for bluray , which is nice but doesnt have a huge impact on just gaming alone (i dont want to watch movies on it). my point was , even if the ps3 was marginly technically superior to its main rival system , which it is , that advantage will not be utilised much because publishers like EA make games generically for multiple systems therfore failing to take advantage of many technical abilities in a single platform , particularly if that single platform happens to have limited market share like which the ps3 has at the moment . just like the saturn was. the majority of its titles were barely optimised for its advanced architecture compared to the ps1 let alone specially coded just for it sony have made some big errors in its timing , price and marketing and are behind in the marketplace now which will be hard to gain back through just technological superiourity though . the history of video games is littered with technically superior platforms that failed to gain market dominance despite their hardware advantages. for instance atari vcs vs intellivision Nes vs sega mastersystem sega genesis vs snes gameboy vs atari lynx and sega gamegear ps1 vs saturn and n64 nitendo ds vs psp all those left hand systems are technically not as advanced as their direct rivals but failed for 1 reason or another , although some systems like SNES and dreamcast did very well in selected markets like japan but failed to gain dominance in others as you said well just have to wait and see how it all pans out . ms have an early advantage , lets hope the ps3 can claw it back . if it was me i would dump ps3s at a loss , slash about 250$ from the aus price and try and gain some serious market share . and some big money marketing wouldnt hurt either
  23. my last cef had a china spec fmic with custom piping was a good job , looked pro considering china core is under 200 you cant go wrong with that and custom pipe
