  14. Hi i have a nismo fuel pump for r33 gtr how much work is involved getting this into another car , say a 32 gtr or even a rb25 skyline or s1x car ? gtr pumps are common upgrades for these cars so im thinking it wouldnt be that much effort thanks
  15. i did melb to perth in 2.5 days once f**ked me
  16. possibly , but if you could prove it was dodgy you would win every time and hes back where he started. infact you wouldnt even have to prove it , if you took that senario to the fair trade commission they would side with you in a second especialy if the dealer had a history the dealer could have you killed in the middle of the night and your car crushed into a cube and thrown into the sea to avoid a warranty claim too
  17. a standard rebuild is still providing a repair beyond the level of the original part , the engine in a skylines done 50000 - 100000km and a have a fair amount of wear on them , the dealer is quite within his rights to provide a similar 2nd hand engine if your talking about the aftersales warranties sold at an extra cost like all states then you will find their claims are all limited to a certain amount , a few thousand dollars usually . The dealer also has to provide a statutory dealers warranty , which is not cost limited which in most states is 3 months / 5000km . On top of that the dealer has to comply with fair trading legislation which gives implied warranties which are not cost or time limited . So its in the dealers interest not to sell f**ked engines even if he is selling aftermarket warranties with the cars. even if you have one of these aftermarket warranties you are totally within your rights to make the dealer fix something under the fair trading statutes or the dealers warranty . once that expires use your own warranty some dealers are dodgy and will try and avoid their obligations , but the law is always on the consumers side . you just have to enforce it
  18. why should the dealer pay for a forged rebuild if you throw a rod ? hardly apples for apples is it point is you buy a car with a f**ked engine they will have to fix it , the car has to be fit for purpose and a dead engine isnt fit for purpose . most places would just source another 2nd hand engine and swap it and i think thats a pretty reasonable solution
  19. thats just rediculous if your having problems with a dealer warranty then take it up with them , but the warranties are firmly biased towards the consumer and 99% of the time state consumer departments will side with the customer even outside of the context of the 3 month statutory dealers warranty you have fair trading legislation which gives implied warranties on all goods . These state the product must be fit for purpose and of merchantable quality with no serious defects or faults. http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/business...andrepairs.html take on the dealer and you will almost always win
  20. the only 23k r34 they have is a auto sedan these are cheap everywhere , if lees are charging more than about 24-25 then yes they are over priced your going to need much more for a nice manual coupe tho so keep saving if you want something nice this is going by their website
  21. yeah i could make a crazy amount off it but if it finds a good home without ripping someone off then the turbo gods will smile upon me
  22. they are a dealer offering a full warranty and support you cant compare their prices to brokers like jspec and prestige , you could get absolutly anything with them and all risk is on you some people are quite prepared to pay a bit extra for convinience and service . remember this a business supporting people and their families here
  23. the turbo skylines would have been about 60k+ new if they had been brought across hence why they wernt , it was decided they would not be competitive at that price
