this was one of the stupidest things ive seen its like those pathetic sims games its a bad seinfeld episode , game about NOTHING!
-
90% of the games will be port they will be written for 2 or 3 platforms , very few games bar specific console franchises are platform specific im still going to get one but dont fool yourself into thinking it something super special , it will not be . its not that much better than the 360 . its slightly better , maybe 10-20% but thats it . you will not see radically different content for the ps3 compared to 360 versions of the same game . especially if the ps3 does not take a dominant market position like it did last time round and blu ray doesnt interest me at all . i can dl hd movies for free and watch them from the media center and by the time blu ray takes off enough to be convienience format like dvd (ie everywhere , just put it in and watch) a player will be like 100$ and burner $200 ive maybe watched a dozen dvds on my ps2 and i got it at launch , its not realy a big factor in selling consoles this time round

Official Sauwa Cruise - Perths Most Haunted Places- Oooooooo

oh yeah at good no read me arez -
technically the state where its registered is supposed to be notified of the defect and then deal with it but the reality is there is virtually NO communication between the states on anything like that , licenses , defects , registration so nothing would ever happen if you just ignored it when i lived in sydney on wa license and car rego , i ignored ALL parking fines , speeding fines and license suspensions because there was nothing they could do . i even rang wa once and confirmed it after NSW tried to suspend my license and i was free to drive on the wa one

seeing as its a fund raiser im assuming any and all are welcome ? -
i would say most of the people who would reply to the thread wouldnt actually know an engine builder or have built an engine so were just piping in with our fav workshops as usuall
-
about 10k seems the usual price depends on condition as they are getting old now some are pretty bad
-
sarcasim is not one of your strong points obviously or mine perhaps......
-
video surveilance + attacked dog = tasty cash payout from lawsuit you can get funky kits from dicksmith or any electronics store these days
-
your missing the point i am simply using the 10 second gtr as a generalisation for a fullhouse modified gtr . obviously you need to further modify and exploit its other areas . and i agree the gtrs strengths are not its strait line power output same story though , i can build a much quicker car than a porche using a gtr as a base $ for $ . and thats the gtrs success if you want smothness and niceties and comfortable ride , that wouldnt be a car for you tho
-
my 5 star recomendation is this thread sux hyperdrive did a good job fitting my pod filter so i will recomend them for a 25 neo rebuild , thats pretty much where this thread will go :-$
-
i have driven in a porche 911 gt3 and i have driven in a full house 10sec gtr and the gtr ate it for breakfast if i bought a late model 34 gtr and built it to be a 10 second car i would still have heaps left over instead of buying a similar porche and thats what its all about the gtr was a revolution back in 89 because it offered porche/ferrari performance for 1/3 the price and it still does end of of story . the new gtr will do the same , it doesnt have to be faster , it just has to get close because its massive cost benefit will pull it way over the line in terms of value if your dad wants maximum performance per dollar the gtr will never be beaten . if he doesnt then he can buy whatever . maybe get an old classic porche if performance is not the issue
-
you might as well just look at the consolidated workshop thread once again seriously this thread will go no where we have all got our favourites and thats that im sure the big names in perth will all do a pretty good rebuild , its not rocket science

$5000 To Get A Gtr Into The 10`s ?
32vspecII replied to groper's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
a guy bought a 32 gtr at work we thought it had some goodies but was basically stockish it ran 10.9 on slicks so its got at a minimum some sort of low mount twins , we thought just n1s but who knows remap full exhaust hd clutch (which has died since) intake injectors and pump but nothing too crazy i didnt believe it but it did run a 10 -
yeah those figures are total shit wtf did you get them from ? Xbox 360 Custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU • Three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each • Two hardware threads per core; six hardware threads total • VMX-128 vector unit per core; three total • 128 VMX-128 registers per hardware thread • 1 MB L2 cache CPU Game Math Performance • 9 billion dot product operations per second Custom ATI Graphics Processor • 500MHz processor • 10 MB of embedded DRAM • 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines • Unified shader architecture Polygon Performance • 500 million triangles per second Pixel Fill Rate • 16 gigasamples per second fill rate using 4x MSAA Shader Performance • 48 billion shader operations per second Memory • 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM • 700 MHz of DDR • Unified memory architecture Memory Bandwidth • 22.4 GB/s memory interface bus bandwidth • 256 GB/s memory bandwidth to EDRAM • 21.6 GB/s front-side bus Overall System Floating-Point Performance • 1 teraflop PS3 CPU: Cell Processor PowerPC-base Core @3.2GHz --1 VMX vector unit per core --512KB L2 cache --7 x SPE @3.2GHz --7 x 128b 128 SIMD GPRs --7 x 256KB SRAM for SPE --*1 of 8 SPEs reserved for redundancy --Total floating point performance: 218 gigaflops GPU RSX @ 550MHz --1.8 TFLOPS floating point Performance --Full HD (up to 1080p) x 2 channels --Multi-way programmable parallel Floating point shader pipelines --Sound Dolby 5.1ch, DTS, LPCM, etc. (Cell-based processing) MEMORY 256MB XDR Main RAM @3.2GHz 256MB GDDR3 VRAM @700MHz System Bandwidth Main RAM-- 25.6GB/s VRAM--22.4GB/s RSX-- 20GB/s (write) + 15GB/s (read) SB2.5GB/s (write) + 2.5GB/s (read) SYSTEM FLOATING POINT PERFORMANCE: 2 teraflops on paper the ps3 has more processor power but 2 things stand out immedietly: Multithreading 7 processors effectivily is difficult and makes larger code that is less eficient.anyone remember the sega saturn ? it was effectivily 2x as powerfull as the ps1 , could even do basic 3d shading similar to n64/voodoo 1 1st generation 3d machines . but it was very hard to program efficiently and many publishers just gave up virtually no one used it to its full capabilities and most cross platform games were identical between saturn and ps1. and PS3 and 360 have similar memory bandwiths . they will both have a bit of a bottleneck there as time goes on . this will tie the ps3 down a bit more as its raw processing speed is higher but it will struggle to use it all against its memory constraints . going back in time early pentium 4 processors which didnt use ddr memory buses were actually slower than pentium 3s until we got ddr , ddr2 and rambus to lift that bottleneck . even now memory bandwith is paramount and always and issue with all modern processors including these consoles . this will definetly tie the 2 machines together a bit more than processor power suggests. also i like the xbox360 unified memory achitecture . games these days are generally graphics heavy and its a good idea to be flexible in opening up as much resources to graphics as you can . wont be a huge biggie but a good idea. this is not ps3 bashing , ill be getting one . just dont expect games that are a full generation ahead of the 360 . they will probably end up being better but only slightly . there will be no major quantum leap or anything like that. think ps2 vs xbox . xbox is generally a bit better but lots of games are virtually the same on both platforms. a lot of that is publishers economy of scale too , no point making essentially 2 games when you can make 1

autoworx have a very nice and tidy silver 93 32 gtst coming in soon but yes they are over priced in japan and aus buyers dont want to spend the money on them making dealers take less profit for 32s over 33s so not many are coming in

32vspecII replied to monga's topic in Western Australia
i think theres been quite a few threads on this and they are all happy and joyfull if you want to search also consolidated workshop thread has most of the big tuners in town , im sure they will all serve you well -
mine sat on the passenger floor for ages then it just got sort of tucked into place but use the velcro thats supplied dont be povo like us 3 hours is ok for basic tune , depends what your mods are . if its mainly stock to clean up afrs should be ok

Does Walbro Make A Direct Fit Fuel Pump?
32vspecII replied to R33GOD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nismo also make direct replacement pumps fitings and labor do add a bit to the cost of the walboro/bosch ones but not that much the direct fit ones are not much more $$$ from places like nengun so worth considering -
you should get an old bunky or something and use the ss money for the house right now they suck anyway id rather a bunky drift silvia or something i felt the same when my 95 vspec drove off last week but a mint condition 94 vspec II is on its way!
