  1. BRAND NEW 2 x Cobra Sebring Pro FIA winged race seats. (1 x standard width, 1 x GT width) These are brand new, unused never mounted into a car. Bought through Revolution Racegear last year. Cost about $1k new each. Located in Melbourne near Ivanhoe. Selling for $650 ea or $1200 for the pair
  2. Looking great Evan. Can't believe you live at PI hehe stuff dreams are made of apart from the seemingly incessant wind -- giving me ideas! Whats your profile pic did you get a special gearbox?
  3. Yeah I had the same figure in my head Ash
  4. Wow $47k for a transmission rebuild. Many of the trustworthy performance workshops have experience with these cars now, the mystery / mystique Nissan plays on with their pricing is no longer an issue. Most workshops that race them / have customers racing them have pulled apart the transmissions (racepace vic, just jap sydney). Good work on your concern for the next owner. They really have zero shame don't they.
  5. Don't ask me how I know this, right/wrong place right/wrong time - but some guy said on the site that Rajab is the master of RB's - the wasteland guys got a hold of it. There was also some other guy that knew a guy that was saying "praise rajab" every time something went good. I think the two have now been put together and the wasteland now has a demi rajab supreme ruler. Edit: well you see its made it into the forum filter - writing a-llah, or g-od now becomes rajab
  6. Nice purchase nekminnit - I vaguely remember seeing that car go together for a run at Tassie. Looks very tidy. I found the HANS uncomfortable at first but wouldn't want to run without it now, just got to play with the positioning a bit to get it comfortable. Good knowing your neck is locked to a range of motion.
  7. Forgot you were up for the event Damo - would have come say hello. We pushed off on the Sunday evening which we regretted, but Kat had work in the morning. I was definitely keen to hit the pub for a few instead - we will be better prepared in future. The Monday hangover wasn't missed though!
  8. Interested to hear how it goes. I'm looking at the 6 speed PPG dog set at the moment to replace the standard getrag gear - waiting on pricing back and how customisable the ratios are. Like you have never driven a dog box but street manners less important for me - it's already a pig on the street!
  9. Likewise good meeting you guys. Saw you guys matched our final run up the mountain. Any plans for other ATC events? Withdrawals on Monday - could have handled the day off but could quite easily have been back out on Tuesday. Looking forward to Tassie, seems like our car is quite reliable now minus a gearbox replace / refresh so time for a go at the big one.
  10. Not again... it was freakishly cold last year. If you have support crew with diesel vehicles without a fuel heater, make sure you get alpine mix. Heap of crews got caught out last year with frozen diesel unable to start them up and get off the mountain before the road closed.
  11. Looking the goods! I have definitely switched into rally mode this week, sleep not coming as easily, looking forward to it just a tad...
  12. Preparations for Targa High Country in a weeks time are in full swing. Last years event we struggled badly with suspension that was set up completely wrong / not at all, ironing other bugs out with the car, in addition to getting our heads back in the game. Feeling much better prepared this year. Nothing has happened engine wise other than some tweaking/balancing of the wastegate actuators which netted a little extra power on the dyno. Still running on BP98/united100 for now, need to work out how to get extra earthing into the tank to have the second pump running before we can move to E85 - have been looking at this as a solution http://powertune.com.au/products/by-brand/powertune/powertune-twin-in-tank-fuel-pump-kit-r33-r34.html On the suspension side the car has been corner weighted and all settings looked at and adjusted. The car *feels* good in the corners to me now, and very stable under hard braking, will see how this translates in a weeks time. The front sub frame was out of alignment resulting in 20mm shorter wheel base on one side, making it impossible to get the car to drive straight, so this was all corrected. We are required to run RallySafe computers this year which is a good thing, antenna installed and everything ready to go. There is a bolt on option, but not a fan of the thought of drilling through the roof just yet. I can now also tell what speed I am doing via this little do whacky part of the vbox system. My heated windscreen didn't arrive in time so I have had to go with a stick on solution. What a pain that was with the screen in, the double sided tape for the rubber end pieces was useless so super glue was required, and putting the elements on .. . errrm well I wish I could say I was down a couple of beers, best done with the screen out... but it works
  13. Yeah better to be feeling over prepared rather than rushed for track days I have found, last place you want anything going wrong is on track! I have definitely had the bug ironing process with mine, I think any build would be the same. Look forward to seeing the work continue!
  14. Nah they keep organising it same weekend as targa high country so can't make it. Was looking forward to drooling over you car! Spewin On the 2500s, now I think about it they were actually better with that Alcon kit you have - I had the same kit on my 32, not so nice on the evo. Still pagids all the way for me!
  15. My 2c, I use the 29s and love them, 2500s I really don't like - upsets many when you say it, they feel like blocks of wood compared to the pagids. Have a heap of bite and feel all through the temp range. This is track car only though, for the street the pagids are much better behaved though, the 2500 need temp before they quieten down and brake properly. The pagids for me when cold only make a little tinkle - very quiet, 2500s on our Evo you see people winding up windows and peds hands over ears! I believe the 29s are an evolution of the 19 or am I mistaken?
  16. Still on 98, little bit behind the times! Had some teething issues getting the car reliable due to some silly things like one of the turbos lunching bearings every few hundred kms, wiring faults, faulty radiator caps - the list goes on. Just need to get out and enjoy the car & event, then look at speeding things up for Tassie.
  17. You guys running E85 for the event or just 98?
  18. Yeah sure we all know you love to "over" Evo's Dan. But yes our little 4G63 at stock specs as it left Mitsa keeps trucking along, daily driver, track days, motorkhana's, recce car. Not my cup of tea but can't complain with that sort of reliability. Formidable early modern car for high country, particularly shines on day two through the tight and twisty stages around lake eildon. Don't forget the scorpion/lambda... what a good lookin car that was, and the name, oh the name...
  19. We will be there again this year in this, see you in early modern!
  20. Pleb! Time I start hassling you to do a track day I think
  21. Ha the boys were explaining it in similar dimensions so I may be able come close. I saw your 32 years back in ashburton. Jealousy levels were high - you still get it out to the track ?
  22. Awesome you must be pumped. Look forward to seeing some footage! Damn it's fun being back in a 32.
  23. Hit Winton today - much better than Sunday, satisfied now. Car held together well, have a few suspension changes I would like to make to start firming it up as the suspension is still very much Tarmac Rally orientated. R32 ABS is also really annoying on the track, time for it to be deleted. Best for the day was a 1:35.5 which I am very happy with for its first real outing. Everyone loves the flames... but not sure I will enjoy having to clean this off each outing though... bring on E85
