  1. Only if you get a stock flywheel lightened (which i'd never do after mine almost amputated me a year ago). I figure why spend $2k for a Nismo clutch when I can get a nice feeling clutch from a local supplier that will hold the same power for half the price, keep lol'ing.
  2. Well from personal experience, I wouldn't even consider the Nismo clutch (never used 1) when the Jim Berry full monty is half the price and more than capable of handling high power (I did over 30x 8000rpm launches in my 330awkw r32 gtr and their wasn't any clutch smell let alone slipping or stalling). Yes the JB is heavier than standard but it's not a hard clutch to drive whether just cruising to work or fanging it around a race track and i'd highly recommend them.
  3. Goodbye race track hello junk yard, that there is a writeoff.
  4. Revenue raising is the cops blocking off a macca's carpark and going over all the parked cars. Doing 130km/h down the M5 in a 100km/h zone isn't revenue raising because you are speeding. I've seen more undercover cop cars in the last 2mths in Western Sydney (Eastern Creek to Penrith) then i've seen marked cars and i'd say 99% of them have been Ford Falcon models.
  5. They build the car around the rollcage.....
  6. The points certainly aren't awarded based on results, only on Luff's opinion.
  7. Nice driving Scott, a couple of nice gtr's were out n about...
  8. The days of Mt Panorama being a mountain road used as a temporary race track are long over, kick out the wanna-be farmer hillbillys and make it a dedicated circuit and watch how fast the town grows with the additional income. I'm pretty sure Wakefield was bought by QLD Raceway (or a QLD based driver training company) and the first thing they did was re-surface it. They now want to add more facilites and make it more driver training friendly (they approached my mum whom is a -police driver trainer- to run it all). Mr Wilmington is the uncle of a friend of mine, will have to give her a call and get the gossip sorted out.
  9. If it doesn't need to come out why bother? Even if it did i'd drop it on its own. Then again i've never done it so wouldn't have a clue.
  10. Nicest Stagea i've ever heard, what turbo setup?
  11. Merli at a trackday in an r32gtr in '08, how exciting!
  12. I've never seen an engine hoist break, but have seen plenty of chain attachments snap
  13. I don't know exactly but it would be over 200kg.
  14. B&B Auto Detailing. Used to be a mobile business based at Winmalee with his son although he has recently moved into a unit over on Coombes Drive off Correen Avenue. He does my work van and has done my neighbours 68 Camaro with very good results. It's not uncommon for them both to spend 3-5hrs on a car for under $200.
  15. If you just want to get out on the track for the sake of cutting some laps then go for it, but if your intention is going after the clock forget it. If I have nothing else to do i'll pop in for a looksie.
  16. I was thinking performance as in lighter = more responsive? Are they slightly lighter or a fair whack?
  17. What sort of a performance improvement are they over standard?
  18. The picture quality is better than I expected however the framerate needs a bit of work (which is why i'd just prefer a normal minidv camcorder). As you said for the price it's not bad.
  19. At that price i'd rather spend an extra $100 and just buy a MiniDV Camcorder and get proper quality, I have never seen this unit before but my guess is the video quality will be no better than a $99 webcam (or $300 mobile phone quality). I'll be happy to be shown otherwise....
  20. I watched it (been waiting a few weeks for it to air) and I was quite puzzled by Luff. He drove the v8's, found them over-powered and under handled and a handful to drive in the skidpan exercise yet rated them high. But then with Andrew's 200SX he said it handled very well, good power, very quick around the exercise yet rated it the lowest? I have a feeling Luff will rate the v8's high no matter what due to being Holden/Ford and he drives Holden/Ford everyday and im not just saying that because this is an import forum and I own imports.
  21. Highly doubt Toll would offer to build a crate, well unless ive been walking around the depot's with my eyes closed for the last 3.5yrs.... What would be ideal is 1 of our Toll Fashion metal pallet containers..... hrmm gives me ideas!
  22. Yes as Duncan said its directly below where the top radiator hose plugs in (infront of where your oil filter is). It's a machined flat part on the side of the block.
