  1. What type of oil and water lines are most reliable in a low mount setup?
  2. I'm after peoples experiences on how much dyno time and tuning cost to get their 30DET's tuned to the point where they are satisfied. I have a 25/30 with PFC+FcDatalogit good for 350rwkw and wanted a rough of idea on $ and time needed for tuning.
  3. Install a wideband o2 sensor with afr gauge. Make adjustments to fuel so its safe to drive it to the dyno for a proper tune. Your going to need the boost solenoid
  4. Coz I didnt have a pic of the car. der....... At a certain angle the colour looks similar, its the first time ive seen a colour similar on a 32. The guy that did the RWC put the colour down as bronze.
  5. The 32 came from Japan painted in this color, its started to crack after parked in the aussie sun. I've searched local paint catalogues but nothing comes close for nissan and 89-94 in gold. The closest i've found is a GM gold called Antelope pearl metallic which is a gold metallic with silver pearl, its close but not exact.

  8. I have a burgundy 32 GTST thats been resprayed gold metallic and yet to work out the colour name and code. The colour is identical to the 32 in this pic Is this a factory nissan colour?
  9. Did you cut a hole where the battery used to sit? My previous skylines have been defected for cutting holes, DOT inspectors said it weakens the crush zone of the body and all piping should go through factory holes or be plumbed around the body. My current rb20 piping is done this way. I wish the service was the same quality. For some reason Leigh (ETM) quoted me higher through these forums, and $150 lower (same car, same manifold) on CLT forums under a VLT orientated username. They both take months to reply to pm's and email, thats if they do... The prices these days are a bit steep for a street car.... I'll be making my own.
  10. What tailshaft do you use in a 32 GTST. Does a 32 GTR tailshaft fit?

  12. Rb30's came with oil restricters as standard. 2 x 1.8mm. For a twin cam oil pump its best to block one feed and use a smaller restricter in the other.

  15. How would you keep the rear bearing lubricated in the transfer case? I've done the same as GKTECH.
  16. Depends what fuel is being used. For 98 pump fuel in Australian climate anything over 9.4 is getting a bit exxy with decent boost pressure. I bought Arias 9.4 forgies before cc'ing the 25 head which was a mistake coz the volume of the bowls were smaller than std brining the comp up to 9.6 I've had to stuff around trying to source a thicker head gasket to bring it down to 9.2. Tip of the week, get ur bowls in the head checked before you buy pistons.

  20. I assumed bungs would need to be welded thats why the manifold hasn't been ceramic coated yet.
  21. Which is better to use: oxygen sensors or exhaust temp sensors? Should the sensors be screwed in or clamped to each runner? Can the RB25 PFC with FC Datalogit support 6 extra oxygen/temp sensors? If not whats the best way to monitor the sensors at once? Where on the exhaust manifold is the best place for the sensors? I have an Rb25/30 with greddy plenum and high mount 6boost manifold (bare atm) thats looking for 350rwkw in a R32 GTST.
  22. Does anyone know if there is an "off the shelf" MLS headgasket thicker than 0.074 (1.9mm) for a RB30 or RB26? ACL, Nengun and Greenline's thickest are 0.051 (1.3mm), Cometic make a 0.074 for the RB30ET ( will suit my mod'd 25 head). Trying to get the comp down to 9:1 Last resort is to go custom.
