  1. Re-read your post. You're obviously one of those people that sees someone with something and, because you can't afford it yourself (ie. the GT3 or the Elise) ... then you assume they got it not through hard work but through illegitimate, or otherwise, means. If you didn't understand my GTR analogy then perhaps you'd better resit year 7 I'm not arguing this any further because you obviously have a bee in your bonnet and I can't be ****ed. Back to Michelle Roberts ...
  2. No, because you obviously didn't pass year 10 Back on topic.
  3. My mate is selling his Autometer boost guage He's asking $100, including the cup. Also has a silver cup instead of the "botannical blue" one if you so desire  The cups alone normally go for around $40 new ... so $100 is good value ! For more info email him direct at : [email protected]
  4. oh ok ! well .... well done anyway
  5. yeah price on the catch can please ? also price on the injectors ?
  6. They will indeed, and I'm definitely very interested in seeing them. That's the thing with the RB20 ... not many people have really done a lot to them. Well, it appears not on these forums anyhow. So hard to get reliable information for these engines.
  7. i'll give you $250 for the afm if you post it to perth
  8. jesus 1.6 is better than some guys with 4wd ! i have a gts4 and the best 60ft i've had is a 1.8s well done on your times though ... you're not far off that 12 now
  9. tom just out of interest is your car a manual or an auto ?
  10. lukevl : i bought one from luch (ljstt) last week on wednesday. i put the money in his account on thursday ... the manifold was sent on thursday and arrived first thing monday morning. sorry i would have gone in the group buy but i needed one urgently. he even called on monday morning to see what i thought of the manifold. i like it and he gave me a good price, so i'm happy all round so if you want one i can thoroughly recommend his service / products
  11. Roy let me know how it goes ... I haven't ordered my cams yet. Was going to do it last week but ended up getting a new exhaust manifold instead as I still wasn't totally sure which cams I would order. The Tomei 260/270 idea does sound good though. Are you getting new valvesprings with those as well or just keeping the standard ones? I've heard that with the Tomei cams the uprated valvesprings aren't totally necessary.
  12. i think you can get that one from bodyform
  13. they sound tough
  14. Ok you've missed my original grievance ... This is my point, and I will paint a picture for you that might be easier for you to understand. Imagine you paid 90k for an R34 GTR. You're happy with your GTR as you've worked hard and saved hard and managed to get half of the purchase price together to buy it. You've loaned the rest from the bank. Then one day, the guy next door suddenly has an R34 GTR aswell. He has loaned the entire amount from the Government at a discount rate to you. In fact his repayments are only a third as much on the whole amount as you pay on half. Would you be pissed ?
  15. the Trust front bar I reckon is the best ... that's the one I have on mine as well
  16. Nice work !
  17. If not wanting to live next to a pack of arguing, yelling, screaming animals such as we did in Subiaco, then yes .. I'm a snob. When people have worked their absolute arses off for their whole lives, and earnt money to live in a decent area, they don't expect to have housing put up next to them only to have dole bludgers move in and **** up the neighbourhood. If you can't hack that, then cry to someone who cares, because I certainly don't.
  18. I haven't read the whole thread, as there's too much and drifting just bores the shit outta me. But I used to buy various popular car mags very regularly, now I don't as there's just too much in there about drifting. It's just so boring seeing every page having some idiot trying to get his car sideways.
  19. rb23 ? nice
  20. if you start upping the boost you gap the plugs to get rid of any missfire that you may feel when the spark gets blown out
  21. I'd be keen to oust both Michelle Roberts, and Alannah Mactiernan. Michelle Roberts for her rediculous anti hoon laws, and Alannah Mactiernan for her absolutely ****ED UP town planning. Who the **** puts Homes West houses in Subiaco and Claremont. ****wit.
  22. Oh well doesn't matter anyway. The point I was making is how little it cost to get the car done compared to what a workshop wanted .... in October 2003. Was merely trying to save a fellow skyliner a couple of $$ If it's all changed now then so be it.
  23. My mate and I complied an 1988 model Silvia under the 15 year rule requirements back in October last year To get it over the pits, we: 1). Didn't have to put side intrusion bars in; asked about it and they said it wasn't required. 2). The fuel filler restrictor we got from a Jap shop in Maddington. Removed the fuel pipe (leading into the tank) and took it to Ian diffen who put it onto a pipe enlarger. Then we placed the filler restrictor into the pipe with fuel resistant silicone. (Or can find the pipe from a wreck). ~$15 3). Child restraignts had to be mounted directly behind (or 5cm either side of) the rear seats; 2 of them. Bolt them into the parcel shelf. Can buy from Bentley Garage or any workshop. (Or again from a wreck) - ~$5 4). The drivers side mirror was changed with a flat mirror; find one on a wreck. ~$5 5). High-mount stop light, buy from any automotive accessories shop. ~$20 6). Immobilisor, phone up anyone to come to your house (so you don't have to get a permit), and get them to install one on the spot. ~$109 7). The tyres from Japan were acceptable; they weren't required to be DOT approved, so no cost. Most of the stuff on that list we got for free, so cost even less. We were quoted by a well known local workshop $1500 to get it complied (= the stuff listed above).
