  1. Alan sorry to hear about your father dude And Dan, I'm sorry to hear about your cancer. Both of those things are terrible and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone what you guys must be going through. As Jash said, keep your heads up and try to keep smiling
  2. Hell yeah she was hot :bp: Nice pics TJ
  3. Such a shame about that car I remember seeing it on a cruise not long before you crashed it
  4. 900 turbo back is probably an alright price i think thats what quickfit in morley usually charge roughly ?
  5. I wasn't having a go at you at all ... I merely said that if someone is looking for some information why not help them out rather than get all narky and tell them to search for it. As I said people helped you out so why not return the favour. 13_devil: I had an SAFC2 in my car. Once I had it tuned I didn't make any more peak horsepower, but I felt a hell of a lot more midrange. Can recommend it if you don't want to go to the expense of going a full aftermarket ECU.
  6. Sorry Rob but I remember back when you joined these forums ... trying to get a 13 on stock turbo ... you asked HEAPS AND HEAPS of questions about how to do it. Not once did someone say "use the search function". But you say it all the time. If it annoys you that much just don't read the thread.
  7. Once you run a 10 you have to comply to various ANDRA regulations. It's not that the "trevs" wanted to ban him
  8. Well done Liz! That is excellent news!!!
  9. That was Boosted_RB26 from this forum ... 12.3 not bad! Congrats Ant I think I got your run on video on the digi cam... Damn good work
  10. That's for burnouts though .... I don't care if people do burnouts as they're usually not hurting anybody except themselves if they crash, and their tyres. But drink driving ... excessively speeding ... etc ... that's what needs to be addressed by these new anti hoon laws.
  11. Definitely agree
  12. Probably gets impounded for 3 months or whatever the period of time is that they decide. I agree with this I'm afraid. If you get caught on your third offence of dangerous driving, then you are obviously a complete idiot and shouldnt be on the roads anyway. Attempting to run away will only cause you more grief once you are actually caught. Most of us here are "sensible" drivers ... yes we act a bit stupid perhaps on cruises etc but you get caught once and maybe you'll learn. I think if you get caught three times doing 200 down the freeway or whatever the case may be, then stiff shit. There are too many reckless idiots out there giving us enthusiasts a bad name, not to mention endangering other road users. I'm not trying to preach the good word, and say I'm an entirely responsible driver, but I know when I'm going too far.
  13. My gearbox in my R32 GTS4 is completely rooted, so I'm looking around for another gearbox. I think I've found an R33 GTR gearbox. Are the gear ratios the same as the R32 GTR or R32 GTS4? I'm putting the GTR motor in the car probably round the end of the year so the gearbox will be sweet but will the 33 gearbox make any difference to a 32 one?
  14. You got a new one coz of that!? Score!!!!
  15. Holy Jesus! That looks so PORN!
  16. Do it yourself! It's not exactly hard!
  17. Look in the Performance section .... there's a VU ute with an RB26
  18. I'm sure the box would fit, as you can bolt an R33 box up to an RB20 ... just the reverse of what you want to do. You'll need all the other stuff like clutch pedal box, the manual brake pedal box, master cylinder, clutch, flywheel, hydraulic lines etc But it should fit. Just don't expect it to last too long
  19. Not being rude at all mate ... I myself have a 32 gts4 and am undertaking the GTR conversion
  20. Jimbo2000: yeah you can put the RB25 from the Stagea into the GTS4. Paul: the attessa is the same in the GTR and the GTS4. THe engine will indeed be a straight swap, though as you put in your post the brakes, ecu will need to be changed. The clutch well yes you'll need a HD item. The diff is a different ratio and will help you get out of the hole quicker than a GTR. You'll be slower in the top end though. Drive train is essentially the same. Not sure if the 33 gearbox is the same as the 33 GTR box. I know the 32GTR and the 32GTS4 share the same box. But if you're not going for looks, only putting the motor and associated parts in, it won't be cheaper to buy a GTR.
  21. Yeah 33 box would be good ... but my car is 4wd so I need a GTR box of some description I think Joel: yeah I think the box has copped a bit of a punishing. The tyres are 255's all round, 4wd and heavy duty clutch. So I think the gearbox takes a fair amount of pain. The pedal isnt too bad on the left leg though The motor's coming out soon anyway so I think I'll just change the box to a GTR box when the new motor goes in ... Cheers anyway fellas!
  22. If you're doing an engine conversion ... does the age of the engine used matter? Ie. if you put an R32 GTR motor into an R33 (so the motor is older than the car) will that be legal? Or would you have to say put a 96 model or newer into a 95 model car? For example. Cheers
  23. I've got a 9 puck organic with a 2500lb pressure plate in mine ... before that I think it was a brass button one that came with the car. I launch the car hard but I wouldnt have thought that it would affect 3rd and 4th (3rd crunches a bit too now). What sort of money are we looking at to rebuild 3rd and 4th synchros do you know? Or to get the whole box rebuilt?
