  2. Awesome thanks heaps for that mate! I didn't know that, and that will help a lot!!
  3. Cheers Adam not sure how it happened exactly mate, I took it to the drags on Friday and ****ed up the clutch so came home after only 2 runs. Then drove it around on the weekend... all good. Then Monday morning my brother was dropping me at work, and only 2 streets from our house lots of white smoke appeared. He wasn't gunning it or anything. So yeah probably caned it on the Friday I've pulled it all apart now and I've found a place to get my head done in Ossie Park so I'm hoping the head is there now Working during the week makes it so hard to get shit done!!
  4. Cheers mate It's a learning experience!!!
  5. haha Simon it was the RB20 in my car. I'm hoping Jules can take it to a head reconditioner today and I'll attempt to refit it on the weekend. I managed to get new gaskets so thats all good. Just have to clean the coolant and shit out of the cylinders
  6. Hope this pic works: This is the cylinders showing all the coolant in cylinder no 6
  7. I've taken the head off, does anyone know where I can get it checked out/ planed? Cheers
  8. The other morning I blew the head gasket on the way to work. A mate and my brother and I have removed everything including the head, and that's where we finished last night. I have ordered a new head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket and a new gasket for between the intake manifold and the plenum. Question is, what do I do now? Number 6 cylinder is full of coolant, its all mucky where the gasket used to be. I've never ever done this before and neither have my mates, so any help would be HUGELY appreciated!!!

  10. Yeah so anyway after all the fighting I reckon its a pretty sweet looking car! Granted, for 100k it'd take some consideration seeing as there are plenty of nice cars out there for that price. But, is it true it's going to be available only in automatic? If so, that would suck big time. No high rpm launches!
  11. Sweet it's booked in for the clutch shop next week to get fixed so we'll finally find out what the problem is! Cheers for your help fellas
  12. I just remembered, my clutch master cylinder has started to leak and now there is a stain on the carpet at my feet. It's only just started to do this though, and I've had this clutch problem for the last year. Could the leaking MC be contributing to the problem? I know I need to get it fixed, but I'll probably just replace it with something better by the sounds of things.
  13. hahaha sorry mate I wasn't trying to be rude or imply that you were being a wanker .. I just didn't know what else to say Cheers for the info though, I do appreciate it! Steve: that sounds like a good idea, is it complicated? Could a clutch place just do that for you? wrxhoon : cheers mate, yeah that seems to be the easiest route Jay: that looks interesting!! Could be just what I need! Only bad thing is it says can't be used with a multiplate clutch  Why would that be? Mase : you might have to look into these things too for your car
  14. Having seen the car in real life, I think that 30k is an excellent price ... those rims are sweet
  15. skylinegeoff: cheers for the info there, but I didn't put the clutch in it came with the car from Japan wrxhoon: haha yeah I don't know what it is but it sure grips well If I put a bigger slave cylinder in, what can I use do you know? The master cylinder doesnt look very big hehe
  16. hahaha it does sound like that "Sports Compact .... the person that can pack their boot full of shopping then get to the end of the 1/4 mile the quickest wins a shopping spree at Myer" But yeah they do sound like good events
  17. chinkinvun how much were you hoping to get one for?
  18. well done man that's freakin' quick!! would be great to see you crack 11s
  19. 30k? roughly
  20. Jay, that is very interesting! Cheers for that dude I never knew that! Hmmm ... now to find the required parts Mase: I've had mine welded up twice so far, and it just keeps snapping. I've got a new bracket lined up from a front cut, but this GTR idea would be heaps better.
  21. Paul anyone can enter the Fast Fridays competitions. There are different classes and we would be in the Sport Compact class. It's an eliminations event. There's also Grudge Racing if u get knocked out early The track will be fully prepped too
  22. Cheers dude Sweet, the more people we get the quicker we get these dash's The 300zx ones look awesome!
  23. I think my clutch pedal is too stiff/heavy, and so consequently I have now snapped the bracket holding the pedal to the car three times :hellpisd: How can I make the pedal lighter on the foot, without changing the actual clutch? I already have a heavy duty clutch in there. I think the fact that I have to push so hard down on the pedal to push the clutch in, causes a torque at the top of the bracket (where the bracket is bolted to the underside of the dash), and it literally shears the bracket metal. Could I change the master cylinder to an R33 one? Or a GTR one? Would that make any difference? How bout the slave cylinder? What happens if you change that? Cheers
