I think my clutch master cylinder has shat itself (clutch is constantly engaged and my pedal is feeling very loose not firm like before). Does anyone know where I can get another one from, and how much they are? Cheers

I am selling my intercooler as I need the cash to fix my car which broke today So yeah its a custom one which measures 550x250x57. Selling for $700. Here's a pic (it looks dirty but I've cleaned it up nicely since then ) : I'm in Perth by the way.

I got the RAC out and the guy thought that maybe the clutch master cylinder might be stuffed? Either that or the slave cylinder? Either way it seems as though the problem is hydraulics as I can change gears when the car is off. This is very annoying. Guess I'll hafta get someone to look at it on Friday then.

Also i noticed that when I pump the clutch the whole cylinder thing where you top up the clutch fluid moves. I don't know if this is normal or not though. But it moves quite a lot.

Does anyone know whats happened to my car : today I was driving and it started to get hard to select gears ... until the point where I couldnt get it into any gear at all. As the car has a heavy duty clutch, the pedal is normally very stiff to push in, but now there is hardly any resistance at all. The only way I could select first when the car was stopped was to turn the car off, select 1st (the gearbox was free to move with the engine off) and then turn the key. The car would bounce forward and then start. When driving I could get into gears but I had to really force it in. So basically the clutch is constantly engaged and when I stop the car stalls. What the hell is going on?? How do I fix this??? I've checked the fluid levels and they seem fine. :confused: I'm stuck and it's xmas day and nowhere is open and this is ruining my day cheers.

Is it ok to jack the car up on the rear diff? It looks like an alloy casing so will jacking on it hurt it? Also can you jack the car in the middle at the front anywhere or do you have to do each wheel individually? cheers

ahh right this is actually what I was reffering to i thought this was called flat shifting! my bad! so does this damage the clutch and gearbox when you load it up?

Does anyone know where I can buy some cheap 2nd hand 235/17 tyres from? I need some as a stopgap until I buy some proper ones, as I've hopefully found a buyer for my standard rims, and I want to get the tyres tomorrow! Any help appreciated!!! Cheers, James.

When at the drags, is it very beneficial to flat shift between gears? How does one do it exactly? Does it hurt the engine/gearbox/clutch/anything? Cheers!

Phil I ended up getting some Advanti Racing Stalkers, in 17x8". They're a five spoke design and look pretty sweet! Now I've just gotta flog these rims off I havent put them on the car yet, but I was thinking of sending you some pics as soon as I did, and when I put the tint on it

haha sweet other people have the same prob! Phew! But yeah my car sounds like it should be way into the legal limit, so I think she can just shove it. I should get it tested really so if she complains to me again I can show her proof of it being legal And I don't leave the turbo timer running if it's past around 8.30pm ... just idle it up the surrounding streets. But geez she really pisses me off!

Does anyone else's neighbour complain about the noise your car makes? Now my car isn't loud at all, but one of our neighbours has had a go at me twice about it! She complains it makes a "hum" at night when I come home from work and she's in bed
