  1. sounds like a great offer. Will keep it mind for anything fiddly thats in the cb assed basket. could you do things like manual conversions, if parts supplied, etc? or is that a bit major?
  2. maybe i am wrong I found it so hard when sharing to get a place with a garage! Last place the r33 was on the street because knob-head gave preference to his piece of crap 80's camry.. just because he owned the house or some crap..
  3. you won't find anywhere to share that has a free garage.. and if there is, it will be taken already. that is why i found my own place, then got others in.. as i needed a garage

    Hi!

you're all HOONS, HOONS I tellsya!!!
  5. ppq plates are all stupid anyhow.. triple the price of any other state, and you to get what you really want is like $2k a joke
  6. Yeah, its almost towards that sort of sweeping power, which can be dangerous in itself. Again, I really wish people would focus on more important issues in society. There are many. If you've ever had somebody you know hooked on drugs, and have thrown their life away, or in fact have known people that have taken their own life - trivial things like a burnout late one night, or some guy going 10km/hr over an arbitary limit really doesn't phase you too much in the general scheme of things. Simple solutions never tackle complex problems.
  7. I believe tonight they are running with "police should be given more powers to tackle these issues" line.. I don't quite see how police could have *more* powers than they currently do to be honest. * They have the right to pretty much arbitary claim that the car is too noisy (even if its not), with no official test equipment , resulting in fines and great inconvenience to the owner. * make the owner pay a fine for something that may not even be illegal, with the owner having very little recourse if it was just purely made up. * As far as I know, they have the right to arrest somebody for verbally abusing a police officer, and could have in that situation arrested the leb. * They have the power to confiscate the car (in many states now) if its believed that it has been involved in hoonish behaviour. * pull somebody over for a random breath test at any time, thereby giving them a lead into any other investigation of the car. * They can at the very least issue a major defect which will mean that the owner is not allowed to drive the car from that point onwards. * Arrest or charge a driver for "dangerous driving" for pretty much any standard "hoon" act as doing a burnout, doughnut, etc. Well they don't have the power to beat the shit out of somebody, but I don't quite know what else they need the power to be able to do.
  8. well considering how corrupt most of the police in italy are.. no wonder I think a few people are right about the perspective of the whole issue. From the story you would think the streets are awash with hoons, everybody is afraid to go outside to avoid a hoon, police are being targetted and almost being beaten up, thousands are dying out there, its costing society millions of dollars each year, and the streets are being taken over and nobody is safe Fact of the matter is - how many have died in street racing incidents in the last couple of years? 10, 20? Even it was 100 people, it would be tiny compared to how many suicides? drug deaths? death from domestic violence? accidents with powertools? even deaths from bloody shark attacks probably! I think everybody really needs to put the story into perspective really. Its not actually that important to the future well being of this country if a few people do a few skids, make knobs out of themselves, and get busted for it.. how many more deep seated issues are out there with no such coverage?
  9. yeah, mine is 2 door.. not sure what is going on there grandmasterb.. maybe 4 doors are different. As up top, I used 16mm spacer, 66.5mm speaker depth, and "just" clearance to get the door skin back on. But still is another 1cm or back towards the window (when down)
  10. happy birthday matt.. wherever you are!
  11. great stuff mark I think you got a very good price for it all in the end, considering you have got an RB25 gearbox behind it, and somebody else did the labour also. Better you have a smile on your face everytime you get in now.. that power level is impressive too. I'm just sorting out some of the basics with mine and having some fun with the ol' rb20, but probably will be closer to end of this year/start of next before I get my motor in there. I'm interested to see how skylinegeoff's old "2530 equivelent" goes on my 2L first, then the 25
  12. mine is same.. light scratches, pretty bad on drivers side. Anybody know how to remove the scratches? How does one polish glass? Heavy duty buffer? I've looked in there, and I can't see how it would be obviously scratching it. I can kind of see the guides, but don't see how they are putting the marks there. The best solution may be to buy some new foam, and glue it on the points there.
  13. u can get em new from nissan too i think for about $250 the pair..
  14. pentae: yup, thats probably what I'm going to do, but hey, is interesting to see what else is available
  15. Continuation of the other thread about GTR bonnets.. well I have found a couple so far.. dspeed.co.jp - bit like a R33 GTR grille without the center piece. The tommy kaira one.. which forms part of the front bar.. hmm, they've just meshed it black behind, maybe I should do that "Border" front bar, with grille. Anybody have any other grille options for R32, other than factory GTR style?
  16. not sure about the bottom strap, it seems to push the latch up into place, otherwise it flops around and just bends down when its supposed to be "latching". Intercooler is next week , so we'll see how that effects things. I am not too sure whether GTR headlights are any difference, there is about a fingers gap inbetween bonnet and lights, but its not really noticeable, and the rubber from the bonnet fills the gap. Like Bl4cK32 says, there is the tabs there to fit a grille. It looks ok in the photo, because its dark, but during bright light you can see the latch and the radiator.. looks a bit messy. I have seen an aftermarket grille which is like a hole with the mesh and that is really cool, but have seen it on about 2 cars out of 1000's of r32's I have probably seen over the years. Maybe i'll try and get one from japan. anyhow, this isn't a show car.. I don't want it to look completely pox but I'm not going to fuss over every little thing. Did that with last car, bored of that.
  17. Most people use thermal tape.. Which you wrap around, with a few clamps. That is about $60-$100 from most performance shops. You can also get it heat treated (HPC), which it is dipped in special heat resistant insulant. You are looking at a couple of hundred dollars for that though. or you could just leave it "as is" like 95% of people out there with a full exhaust... There are a few good threads on why and why not back a couple of years ago, and some people's results.
  18. I don't think that is the main gripe.. its prices that are so completely out of the ball park that they are stupid, and an insult almost to the seller. It just wastes your time, and in the end you will just lower the price anyhow if it's not getting any enquiries and you want to sell, which is also market economics - you don't need to be told by some punk that. We used to have people coming into where I worked and try the same and just expect you'd knock 50% off the price just like that. Do you go into the supermarket and try and bargain down the price of a box of cornflakes? Not exactly, you'd get laughed at. The other thing is, I bet you wouldn't walk into a car dealer and have the balls to go right up to the dealer and say to his face "I'll give you half that sticker price you have there" and expect to have anything but "go **** yourself" thrown back at you. I don't see what the anonymity of the Internet gives you much more of a different position there. It just lets people do what they don't have the guts to do in the "real" world.
  19. so we don't have to wash our cars up here because it barely rains.. you have to get used to the ins and outs of this place young warren
  20. but that night of passion we shared??! are you saying you were a man all that time? !!  I feel like this The Crying Game all over again...
  21. yeah, sometime when I want to waste $300 or so for a grill and painting.. wish there were more options available than stock GTR.. it looks a bit funny.. pov street racer look though lol man, you have good vision.. yeah, the LHS light needs adjusting.
  22. its lies, all lies.. HCSC has nothing to do with Nexus9.. I have even met HCSC many times, and she is such a nice girl, I can't believe somebody is trying to insinuate something here!
  23. $220 is decent.. i got an upper control arm for $220.. lower for same price is good.. brand new goodness..
  24. well the goldcoast one is still open.. give them a call and see what has happened to the Brisbane one..
