  1. really good night.. good food.. good to go out for a bit of a coffee/drink afterwards.. all good. Hopefully we can have more of these social things in future, as was nice for once to chat/etc and not have to drive anywhere
  2. good work.. you rock.. can't wait to see the reaction on the road..
  3. thats the one..
  4. better leave i guess.. i can eat and drink anything!!!
  5. Noticed that.. week after he bought it, it was forsale Nice ride.. Didn't think people bought modified skylines anymore for decent prices, but guess you proved that wrong I saw it a couple of times around driving down the M1 when you owned it.
  6. I think like the others have said.. those that want to pay $35k for an import are few.. and getting smaller. Even selling a fairly tricked up R33 at $20k or so can be difficult, as there are too many tight asses around these days who want the car but don't want to pay the costs.
  7. :bahaha: funny charly.. well i'm on a bit of retirement atm.. as this other job i get paid by the hour, so supposedly i'm meant to be working all that time.
  8. i get to kill the time driving from the goldcoast to brisbane.. just for something different. But i'm coming, as its not far from my "house" (the place i sleep at and are at about 5 mins each day it seems). airport is good fun around the backstreets there.
  9. i leave this place for 5 mins and abuse develops.. i love it.. you chumps coming tonight to dinner?
  10. man.. too much work to whore how sad.. actually took the r33 for a spin today to the panel shop to get it all painted up.. that strut seems to makes a difference in the firmness of the steering, but of course just normal streets so couldn't fang it too much
  11. I got some places, but unfortunately they're at home right at the moment Gavin Wood I think would know of some places.. and I think they're distributors for a couple of manufacturers as well. Give them a call.
  12. It'll only be $150 if its 3 points, or $105 if its 1point. Why do i know this? I just do .. go on the "easy speeding fine payment plan"
  13. Is Shell a cop??
  14. Do you want it new? Is it for insurance work? If cost isn't an issue, there are a few places you can try. How are the repairs going? Hope it wasn't too bad
  15. Queensland is the best state in Australia full stop I made the move in December from Victoria (eek), and haven't looked back! Can be hard to find work when you first move up, and I'll admit i was unemployed for about 2 months, but if you're keen and speak to enough people eventually you'll find something. It all works out in the end.
  16. ..where that went he gave a reasonable quote.. sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and be buggered if I'm driving around town to save only $200 or something anyhow... and well 2x skylines now I know came out looking pretty good. Thats enough for me.

  18. hey great work! looks great.. i'm taking mine in tomorrow actually for her treatment as well..
  19. lol.. i think every skyline owner goes through this after owning it 6-12 months That sounds like a reasonable budget, but don't forget the labour costs can add up, unless you are doing it yourself. Oh, and you'll need 6x new injectors and a Z32 AFM or equivelent. You could probably get 300rwkw with that setup. Inasnt currently went similar and pushing 330rwkw i think at the moment. Will give any stockish GTR a great run.. Anyhow, I await his "bullshit you can do it for $7k" sometime soon Problem with the GTR is you'll just want to do it all again.. and seeing as the initial purchase price of the GTR is much higher, in the end up works out much more expensive. House is safe.. but then again you're only young once, and telling the kids how you bought a house at age 20 might sound cool, its kinda dull. And when you explain the next 20 years it took to pay it off you couldn't afford to go out, see the world, or actually have fun. But the GTR on the otherhand...
  20. I did the time driving crap boxes till i could afford the skyline.. its paid off in many ways. And cop will barely look under the bonnet once you're over the age of 25 as long as you're not acting like a dickhead, or talking like a dickhead to the cop when you get pulled over. All I can say, is keep your mods sensible, and keep them removable.. And I guess most importantly, learn how to take them on and off yourself for when/if the time comes. "4WD " in the GTR, or any other GTR is no fail safe. In fact many times 4WD sports car drivers become unstuck as the car doesn't always glue itself to the road and its that time it just *doesn't* that gets you. At least with a RWD you know it needs to be driven with a bit of respect at all times.
  21. yeah.. just pull.. whole assembly comes out.. or you can just use a flat head to carefully pry the clear cover off to replace just the bulb
  22. If they're reasonable.. I'll go halves ben.. ATM I don't have time to do any research on them or go shop around unfortunately so just get whatever is good for not too much AA batteries could be better as you can get the NiMH 2000mhA rechargeable batteries.. these are INSANE. About $6 each, and in my digital camera give me about 3x to 4x use what energisers or the "heavy duty" duracels cost. And they can be recharged hundreds of times. Jaycar catalogue, page 143 Not sure if I'm coming Saturday night though. Shall see. If I can't I can just D.D. into your account.
  23. Good work Rasi.. clutch is an important part of the car. I've noticed the differences driving a few different R33.
  24. why are chasis rails made like paper on the Skylines?
