  1. where in Melb are you? I might come and have a look / pick up... that's if they are still for sale. PM me your contact details and I'll give you a call tonight, we can arrange something then.
  2. my 2c... I don't care who wins as long as Brock and Richards aren't on the podium. Better yet... seeing a DNF next to there names would also work for me... I don't wish harm on them... but that's all I've seen of the targa in the media and I'm sick of it. Brock: "Jim's driving a 2wd this year... I think we stand a chance of beating him" Well... you have the whole of HRT putting years of V*superTAXI knowledge into your car... Jim is prob doing it himself in his backyard. I'll take a few deep breaths before I get carried away, but damn... I hate brock, he's soooo over-rated ... Targa Tom... the good ol' GTiR didn't rate a mention... WTF is up with that? It's still a nissan, or are you PRO Skyline?
  3. do you know the offset? also, check PM Thanks

    F**k Vic Cop

Cop pulled me over in a GTR on my P's Asked to pop the bonnet... "Is this the twin-turbo" "That's what the pipe says" "How does it go?" "Pretty good, you want to go for a run?" "Nah, I'm on the job... I see you have P's up" "Yeah, I'm on my P's" "You know these are illegal to drive on your P's" "Yeah..." "NEXT TIME YOU GET PULLED OVER, YOU MIGHT NOT BE SO LUCKY" "Thank you officer... have a great day" NOT ALL VIC COPS ARE BAD... just the ones that either can't afford a skyline... have a family to cater for (I do now)... or are still hung up and early 90's Bathurst.
  5. I'd need one soon (1-3 months) for a 33 gtst and a new one *just in case* for a 33 GTR that is getting new turbo's within a month
  6. what is needed to get it running? how much $ would you be after? is everything included to get it on the road (apart from RWC and Reg)?
  7. might be a better idea to post in the 'private car parts for sale' forum... probably get more views...
  8. I can see from the first pic that the front bar and rims have seen better days, but was more interested in how servere the damage at the back was. By the look of it, it was a hard hit and I was wondering how far in the damage goes? I take it that the petrol tank is gone? and the HICAS res.? what condition is the diff. in? and has the prang pushed the diff. forward into the gearbox? Are you able to take more pictures of the damage, maybe some from under the car aswell, so I can get a rough idea on what can be salvaged? ALSO... if he was hit in the back, won't the other persons insurance cover the cost of repair? Thanks
  9. Don't know if the 9" width would fit under the guards of a R32? Asides from that... the GTS4 is 4wd and you should keep the rolling radius on the of the tyres the same. If you have a 8" at the front and a 9" at the back would probably put 235 - 245 all around... but this would defeat the purpose of different sized rims and *might* throw out the geometry of the car. Check http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html for different combinations as you *might* be able to put fatter tyres on the back, but lower the profile. This would then lead back into 9" under the guards. I have a R33, and 9" fit under the rear guards (10" is too big)... but I can't make a definate comment on the R32 and 9". I would also depend on offset (listed in first post). Nice RIMS... my old man has a set on his R33 GTR 18x10. They are nearly as light as the stock R33 / S14 / S15 Nissan Rims... not kidding, I'd only say about 25% heavier... at the most. If I hadn't just had a baby I'd definately buy!
  10. HKS's item is called the ETC (Electronic Torque-Split Controller). and will allow you to manually change the amount of front / rear torque. You can make your own (just a circuit board this tampers with the voltage the torque-split controller reads - like a Elec. Boost. Cont.) I have heard of these being made with good results (and cheaper than the HKS item), also a few horror stories about adjusting the voltage the wrong way and the device not working properly. I think the stock T-S Cont. (nissan one), is under the trim between the driver and passenger side (under the plastic near the hand-brake and flip-top storage), this is also where is the HICAS (4ws) controller is. You don't need the Stock ECU (computer) as the Torque-Split Controller works as a stand-alone unit, as does the HICAS unit (however the HICAS unit need specially inputs from the steering wheel - can elaborate if required). Alternatively you can just diable the HICAS buy purchasing a HICAS-lock-bar (a metal rod that replaces the rear steering arm) - most people do this if there car is going to the track as HICAS can be a bit unpredictable depending on the situation you put the car in! The advantages of 4wd should not only be looked at from a drag point of view, but the stock GTR 4wd would be on par with a rwd that has had SOME suspension work done (depanding on how much money was spent - as is the case with everything). But if you do the suspension and have 4wd, you'd be better off again. 4wd is usually better for launching and makes rocketing from corners a little less hairy, other than that though... it's just dead weight! I think a properly setup rwd car is the way to go for the track, but if you're like me and want to fiddle / play with stuff / make and break, etc then this project is the way to go. I don't know how well the GTR driveline in fit into a Z, but if you've got the time and money... why not. I don't know if I've been of any help at all, but if you do go ahead with the project I'd be very interested to see the build-up... so post some pics or setup a website! Good Luck.
  11. is it lock to telstra / optus / etc on pre-paid or was it bought outright and will take any SIM?
  12. Just to clarify... GTR - RB26 and front seats?
  13. Check with Bozz on the forums. He does a whole bunch of engine conversions and wiring on all kinds of cars (mainly nissans). He's also been known to fix power windows (mine), and ALOT of other Auto Elec. stuff. Send him a PM and discuss further.
  14. and I thought the japs that didn't use air filters were crazy! In Japan though... at least being under the bonnet (turbo)... japanese children won't be swallowed by the comp. wheel. They should have a wraning on the bumper, not too dissimilar from the warnings on the radiator fan shroud!
  15. My Clutch starts slipping when I give it some stick and the revs climb >4000-4500. But I need to wait on a another pay check, so granny driving it is
  16. Complete brake setup includes...? 4x Calipers? 8x Pads? 4x Rotors? All lines? ABS module? Cylinder and booster? Cheers
  17. Are any of these tyres road-worthy? I'd get them for the track, but I'm so lazy I probably would leave them on for a while afterwards
  18. What size tyres on the BBSs? 245 / 255 / 265 ? Tread wear? Will 17x9 fit in the front of R33GTSt? I don't think they will, but they might squeeze Cheers
  19. Sony deck satill for sale? What are the multi-inputs? Radio (JAP), CD, anything else? Does it have CD or MD changer controls? interested.
  20. I have a set (R33 gtst), but the tyres have only 1mm before they hit in the wear indicators. Rims are in in good cond. but tyres and pretty dead. sell for $250 ono, you pay shipping.
  21. do these need spacers to fit over the front brakes? if so... are the spacers part of the deal?
