SATURDAY NIGHT CRUISE 29/07/2006 Ok, Proposed is a Mountain Cruise (Old School Style) Starting on Southport Nerang Road from the BP service station and cul de sac carparking area on Centeral Park Avenue. (Maps Below) Following it all the way out to the Natural Arch and back down to the Springbrook turnoff out to mudgerabah then back to Ashmore Tavern Carpark following the leader. Meet at 8:30pm BP on Southport Nerang Road Depart at 9:000pm This will give people time to fill up (for those that use caltex you can convert and be normal........or use the one up the road.) You will need approximately a half a tank of fuel so fill up regardless. Then we will strike forth to the natural arch. This will be used as a turn around bay. Drive back to the Springbrook exit go down towards Mudgerabah. (Great drive) Then Back to the A mpol/ local Tavern on Beaudesert Nerang Road/ Price Street/ Southport Nerang Road. (This is the same road, from the BP it is Southport Nerang Road then towards the highway turns to Price Street then towards the mountain turns to Beaudesert Nerang Road.) CB's are recomended as you may get lost or require the assistance of David Hasselhoff. Channel will be given on the night. Northbound and Southbound take Exit 69 The trip is worth it. Who is up for it? ALL members are welcome For those that will be attending this from Brisbane can someone please put the old hand up and arange a meeting place up there somewhere. Those that are not at the meeting place on time will sadly miss out. I feel that a 30 minute window is big enough. If you have a skyline or even a moped i dont care if your on the site be there or be squizaire For more detailed directions use Whereis.com or a simple refedex to find the meet place. If you get lost call me on 0405987261 Cautions: These roads are out in the bush/forrest, please keep a distance between you and the car infront to compensate for posible braking due to wildlife. If you can tell the person behind wants to overtake you indicate to the left to notify them they can safetly do so. As my car is receiving a rather large rectal thermometer (RB3026) i will be attending in a white series 2 skyline and will respond to name calling. I think what people need to see is that even if your not a paying member and are a newbie you CAN make a thread or ask a known member if they would like to help with a cruise and get the activity back to where it used to be back in the good old days. If you like the cruise then become a member and be involved in more events. Will be good if Matt's cruise goes ahead sometime soon because that will only spark more interest for everyone to get into it again.

Werd Kris start a thread with a simple cruise plan. Search for previous cruise instructions in threads and it will be easier. make it a Saturday or Sunday so you get a nice turn out, Maybe make it The Spit on a Saturday afternoon or something for some nice group pictures etc. People are under the influence you need 100 skylines for a good cruise meet. 5-20 cars showing up is awesome, enough people to talk to in a group and not too many that you dont meet everyone. We used to do Saturday night cruises up into the mountains which imo was more fun than anything that has happened recently. Night time mountain cruises cannot be beaten. Springbrook or out to murwillumbah via Nerang Road, Natural Arch all awesome runs. Its best to have someone that knows the roads infront though to avoid losing someone off the road.

No They are only really there to stop things from entering the intake or things hitting the sensor other than air.

If it is a standard computer that has been """"TUNED"""" lol just lower the boost whenever you like or you can use the most acurate tool of all that controls the throttle and thats your right foot

Get rid of the Rb20 and use an RB30 bottom end with a 25 head. Much more possible to do and a RB30 botom end costs about $100 with pistons, rods, crank even water pump and balancer. All they usually need is main/big end bearing replacements, new water pump, tensioner bearings and a few other basics like a quick crank shave and hone and you can have a RB3025 which is possible for one thing and you get alot more out of it. IE the obvious 1ltr increase.

If it is a definate ticking on boost pull the 1 intake pipe off from the mouth of the turbo and check for shaft movement backand forward side to side. It takes 2 minutes. Being a series 2 it probably has the Version 4 comp cover with the bakerlite compressor wheel. After a small tap they are stuffed.

Ok as promised. The Oil feed Banjo bolt hole on the block is has a thread of 12x1.25 Same as the oil feed on the top of the turbo. Water threaded holes on the turbo are both 18x1.5 Water threaded hole on the block is 13x1.5
