  1. Agree, just pay the couple of hundred extra and settle for even MCA Blues, difference will be night and day...
  2. I agree Kinkstaah, high spring rates don't mean everything and it does depend on valving, however having one of the first sets of blues that came off the line I can confirm they are valved somewhat agressive (have heard from someone who had purples say the valving of my blues was a lot harsher). I don't know if this has changed since the blues were first released but they are definitely not valved to be comfortable haha.
  3. Same, but I was too poor for reds so I went blues. I'm not complaining though, although slightly harsh for the street, it has been perfect on the track (14kg front and 9kg rear)
  4. Would probably have a negative impact as you would probably lose air speed and throttle control. Also unless the outlet from your turbo or piping is the same size it is useless, because anything with a smaller diameter (turbo outlet or piping) is then going to be the restriction.
  5. May as well go MCA Blues for only a couple of hundred more
  6. Likewise haha, the boxes mine came in were a Frankenstein of random boxes. when I got my blues, I was asked what I was going to do with the car and they recommended spring rates based off what I was using it for. They actually recommend 14kg up front and 8kg at the back. I thought it would be slightly too hard, so I decided on 12kg up front and 7kg at the back. After many spirited driving sessions I regretted not going the 14kg and 8kg so I bought the set they recommended for extra ($100 per pair). Loving them since, bit stiff for the road but perfect for the track and mountains. Edit:- I wish I wasn't broke at the time and went for the reds also, given how good the blues are for the price I could only imagine how good the reds are...
  7. That's odd, they actually recommend that I go with 14kg front and 8kg rear for my application with the blues. I've also had them in my car for a year and love them, the car handles like it's on rails and the grip is awesome. I also have Cusco camber arms and hardrace everywhere else which probably also helps. Regardless, my experience with MCA has been great even when I had a slight issue with them and had to send them back (I had the first batch of blues for R33s) they were very responsive and helpful.
  8. Bought Intima SR's from Johnny a while ago, they held up pretty good at Sandown, once hot they stopped awesome just felt I had to apply quite a bit of pedal pressure. Appart from the low speed sqeal I can't complain and Johnny was awesome to deal with
  9. Would it be worth taking off the actuator and seeing if you can open/close the wastegate freely? It could be possible that since the initial problem the dump pipe may have moved and is stopping the wastegate from opening. For all you know it's possible it made no boost because it was stuck open. Split dump pipes have the tendency to do this, I also had boost control issues with my split dump pipe. There are also many stories of the wastegate not fully opening causing overboosting.

  14. No idea on power as it was tuned before I had the car, when I purchased the car it had the factory ecu in it for roadworthy but I bought a Haltech so I never ran it. I did plug it in a while ago and it started and ran. If you are in Melbourne and have a relatively stock car with similar mods to the description I'm happy for you to plug it in and have a look at the tune, etc. Software is accessible and I also have a serial to USB cable to connect with it.
