  1. What did you mean by 'run in tune' ? I've got a SS2 that's going on soon as well
  2. Awesome, probably go with the 78mm then, the 100mm would be really tight for clearance, and laggier as Stao said. Thanks guys
  3. Do you reckon replacing a Takashi 68mm core with like a JustJap 78mm will cause any differences and be worth it ?
  4. Alright awesome, thanks for the feedback.
  5. I've got the hypergears ATR43-SS2 waiting to be installed. Looking for around 300kW, Im mainly going of Stao's results on his 34 GTT where the 68 restricted flow compared to the 78mm.
  6. Hey guys, just needed some feedback. Currently got a Takashi 600x300x68, was thinking of going 100mm core to not restrict flow but it doesn't seem to clear. Thinking a 78mm core at the moment, nothing major just like a JustJap cooler. Was just wondering if the 10mm would make a difference and if it's worth it ? Have a R33 rb25det Thanks in advance
  7. I couldn't agree more. Currently tossing between DVS, JEM, IS motor sports as the main ones, then there's also Micks or Matouks, driving me crazy.
  8. That's actually the last thing im on stuck on, who to get the car tuned by, But that's tangential to the topic at hand. Scotty's intake seems the way to go
  9. Yes im after a metal intake pipe. I heard great things about Jez regarding his tunes, but his too far
  10. Sure, let's ship the car over for a tune
  11. I've heard good things about Jez, real bummer that's his almost 2 hours away
  12. lol love the abrupt straight forwardness. Any other suggestions ?
  13. I've spoken to Scotty, but considering he's in Melbourne and im in sydney it would be a little hard to ensure right specifications and stuff. What do you guys think of blocking the BOV and getting a catch can to get rid of the lines into the intake ?
  14. Hey guys, so apparently I need a metal intake pipe as the stock plastic one is too small and can collapse under pressure with the new, larger turbo (ATR43SS). Wondering if anyone's done a DIY using silicon joiners and steel piping and would like to part any feedback. Also wondering if the return BOV and breather line are essentials ? Or can I simply make the intake, block the BOV and get a catch can to bypass the issues ? Thanks for any information. It's on a rb25det pod filter setup
  15. Staying 550's. Thanks heaps for all the info guys
  16. damn it, I guess opinions vary on the issue. The worry is I do keep the 550's and there isn't enough room for 290-300kW with a safe'ish tune.
  17. Sorry guys turns out there denso 550's, still capable ?
  18. So that will be plenty. Just comes down to the injectors, thanks for the help guys
  19. Preferably I'd like to keep the money, but was just worried about the duty cycle and whether the car would be struggling. But everyone's pretty adamant that it will hold up just fine, thanks guys. If I do keep the 550's, should I upgrade the fuel pump or stay on the 255
  20. Well this has just made the decision that much harder, tuner and mechanics saying go bigger. But thanks for the feed back guys
  21. Thanks for the feedback, hmm so it's more a personal decision. Would keeping the 570's and pushing them to the limit cause any possible problems in the future in your opinion ?
  22. Hey guys, I've got a r33 with an rb25det in it, following are the mods; -splitfire coilpacks -power fc -FMIC -3' turbo back exhaust -Z32 afm -570cc denso injectors -walbro 255 fuel pump -Hypergear ATR43SS-2 turbo waiting to be installed -gizmo EBC And probably a few more Question is, im chasing about 270-280 with the new turbo and tune, however my tuner was saying the injectors might not be big enough and should upgrade a 460 fuel pump to mitigate the issue. Talked to a few other people and they said don't bother just upgrade injectors. What does everyone reckon ? Upgrade fuel pump and keep and injectors and scrape by or just go bigger injectors, and if so, what size and brand ? Thanks in advance for any help
