  3. Ellenbronx, get it right
  4. Yeah, that is the bits that didn't really come off too well, will be getting some sanding disks onto that before it goes in for the cage
  5. DRY ICE IS COOL So on Wednesday after work I swung past BOC Gas and grabbed 10kgs of dry ice in an Esky. Having never done it before I wasn't 100% sure how easy it was going to be, but took the plunge and threw some dry ice into the boot, and within a few minutes I could hear the sound deadening begin to crack. A couple taps with my trusty hammer and sound deadening was flying around the boot. It took about 3hrs all up to complete the vast majority of the car, there are still some bits which didn't come off, but mainly because they were a different type of material and didn't freeze aswell as the tar type material. I'll be hitting it with some sanding disks to remove the rest during the week. I only got one minor burn from the dry ice, so it was quite a sucessful evening. 6. Click on your user name, then select either Find Members Posts, or Find Members Threads. Is that what you meant ?
  7. RB30DET is definately a cheaper option, but if I was to do it all again I'd be looking at the VQ30DET like Bart (Dsturbd) has
  8. Yes, and you can get a solid lifter conversion kit to make the RB25's solid, like the Neo's, but for the cost it wasn't worth it. Instead we opted for the valve springs, and hasn't missed a beat. To be honest those, on most engine setups I've seen the engine is out of efficiency before 9k.
  9. The paint codes are often displayed on the id plate in the engine bay, at least it is on mine.
  10. Mine revs to 9000rpm, hydraulic lifters and Tomei springs
  11. Mine is a stroked 25, works well for me.
  12. Chris, Let us know how it goes, pics would be great
  13. I think he meant clubs like AFARCC (All Fours and Rotary Car Club), WASCC (WA Sporting Car Club) etc, which run alot of motorsport events. You can become a flag marshal, scruitineer etc. Check out CAMS (www.cams.com.au) on how to participate.
  14. Feel free to name some more exhaust shops and I can add there details to the Consolidated Workshop thread. The Consolidated thread is meant to continue to grow, so that there is one place people can go for alot of this sort of info
  15. A quick update so you don't think I haven't been doing anything. WIRES WIRES AND MORE WIRES The last two weeks I've been spending a hour or so after work stripping back the stock wiring harness. The amount of time spent on this would be 15-20hrs, which in hindsight is an awful lot of time and effort, however there was an incredible amout of wiring to be removed. The highlight to me, is that through it all I only cut one wrong wire (an earth wire, so not really a problem), and the car still starts and all critical functions still work. There is still a bit more to do in terms of tidying up the wiring, but as I'm planning on relocating the battery I'll wait until that is done before I tape the loom back up. I haven't weight the wiring removed yet, but have it all bagged up ready to do so. The next step is dry ice to remove the sound deadening. 16. Nope, the car should have a "bleed nipple" located at the high point of the cooling system, which you can crack and allow any air to escape.
  17. I too was a bit dissappointed with some of the support categories not being a bit more open, but I guess this is there first attempt, so they're sticking to whet they know will draw a crowd. As for MotorClub displays, I belieev they selected a couple Clubs (Porsche and Ferrari), rather than open it up. I think the only Jap Car representation will be in Street Cars and IPRA.
  18. Nope, car doesn't need O2 Sensor, it does however allow closed loop control, so with it in you can tend to get better fuel economy.
  19. Haha, well now he has no excuses
  20. 0422549050 Took 15secs and a Search
  21. Nah, the car seemed fast in the straight lines, but just seemed some strange choice of lines. But maybe that's down to camera angle giving me a differenct track perspective. Either way looked like fun
  22. Nice track. I take from your driving though that it was your first time at the track ?
  23. If I thought R34 wheels were better then I'd have then, wouldn't I
  24. Sweet Does it still weigh the same (4.5kg) ?
  25. The Enkeis are nicer than R34 rims IMHO, and they're very light
