  1. A nice, funny way to make a very pertinent point ... http://science.martianbachelor.com/EoL1.html
  2. I know a guy who had his Skyline with L's.. actually I know two And neither pranged it!
  3. Well now that Jim has said it all I have nothing to say, but! I can provide a pictuer of the R380, at least. btw, the wily Brit gent owns a spare S20, does he not?
  4. I thought the 240K was introduced to Aus in 1973 - but you say cazz your dad bought one in 1972. Can you confirm this? The C110 model started production in late 1972 but I thought it wasn't until 1973 that the hardtop "240K" was shipped over to Aus. Later in June 1974 the 4 door sedan was introduced. I'd like to talk about the interesting badging of the car, and how it was quickly changed from a 240K GT to a 240K GL. Early pictures for promotion show the car with NO "240K", "GT" or "GL" badges at all - just Datsun (notice the first picture Jim posted). I assume this was because they didn't have the badges at the time of photoshoot. From what I can gather the car was initially sold here as a GT, but only for a couple of months maybe. Then it swapped to GL, to try to attract lower insurance premiums. The car was exactly the same, except I've heard that the manifold was slightly different?? I think the rear quarter "Datsun" script badge changed at the same time as the change from GT to GL, too. Cazz, do you remember if your dad's was a "GT" or a "GL"?
  5. Well, mine is a C110 so pretty close... v8skylineman is the resident c210 guru tho
  6. Are old Skylines ok My windows are frameless - how far to the edges the tint goes is a big deal to me and I've seen a range of differences from different places... How close to the edge of the window do you guys go?
  7. What about Jim isn't he entering his C10?
  8. Yeah there is, 2 sedans and a hardtop, and a couple of C110's too. mostly stripped of all decent parts now though......
  9. Well, here's a link that works. http://www.qldstreetcar.com/forum/index.ph...topic=6420&st=0 Go to the later pages to see the debut at GCAS. Was a very awesome car IMO! rear wheels need to be just a BIT wider though.
  10. Nice...... don't happen to have a site with C110 rear quarter "GT" badges?
  11. Hi mate, lowering went well - wouldn't want it any lower (maybe 1cm at the front though  and I was left with camber that would make a Japanese drifter proud. The rears JUST rub when you corner really hard. It's a pity, but I'm not too worried. Just wish they listened to me in the first place!
  12. Not good! But she corners so well. So, so well...
  13. I assume it's an import from Japan not America - so why does it have an Infiniti badge on the front?
  14. Then get out your flares!
  15. this is silly - one is a supercar, one a sports car, one a poser-mobile, one a concept and one spelt wrong! Anyway, fwiw, Koenigsegg!
  16. I don't know who squiz is, but I don't like him.
  17. You know about these two sites dontcha? www.classiczcars.com / www.hybridz.org There are a few going around now, not such an original idea anymore. Any pictures of yours?
  18. Absolutely immaculate. Close enough to perfect for me! Awesome buy, congratulations and please drive safe!
  19. Just to add something - there are many more differences between export C110's and the domestic GT-R than those mentioned above! Most are pretty subtle, but some are substantial - e.g. the GT-R had rear disc brakes. Good luck with your project, I have tried to go the right way and get the most authentic parts possible, but it is not easy. Still searching for C110 rear quarter "GT" badges... GT-R bucket seats???? Worth more than a 240K - per seat. Tom, I think the SR makes a lot of sense. As you probably have noticed the engine sits fairly forward in the C110 and it does suffer from understeer unless you provoke it into oversteer... I can imagine handling might improve with a 4-pot, but we'll have to see what Mikey says first
  20. R31 GTR-S ? http://www.thatphilbrettguy.com/mred/skyli...ne/nissan2.html
  21. PGC10's are special, it's "just" a GC10. Looks tidy, definitely cool. Just be ready for a nightmare if you need any parts...!
  22. Nissan (can't speak for Prince!) was notorious for the thin sheetmetal they used in the 60s/70s - I wouldn't lean on any classic Skyline either
  23. In Australia. The smaller JDM 1600/1800 models were the ones that came with 13" wheels I would imagine.
