  1. mt druitt is like a 30-40 mins drive from the CBD on a good day..... SUTHERLAND SHIRE
  2. well look, there's dozens more i could suggest, so before you head out let me know and i'll fill you in on some more. I checked out kirrawee station carpark (across the road from the train station), it seemed kinda semi full, but then again, it is a weekday, and the restaurants there, on saturday nights it's rather dead. Also, i forgot to mention, you have waratah park in sutherland, on old illawarra road i think. Stacks of parking space and close to the nasho, across the road from the army reserves depot. Homebush is a better known spot, but this place is much closer to the nasho and isn't out of the way for some people so they won't have to waste fuel, plus it's rather close to fast food chains/food shops what ever, so you can hang around for a bit and socialise before you head off into the dark yonder of the nasho. But yea, let me know if you need more, before you head out that is
  3. oberon/hartley valley, Jyndabine, etc etc Beautiful places, but, a fair hike from sydney. Either that or the sutherland shire in sydney aka God's Country Sutherland Shire, great for kids as there are allot of sporting clubs, surf life saving, beaches, shopping centres etc. Plenty of good schools. As i mentioned before it's close to the beach, right next to the world's second oldest national park : The Royal National Park (great place if you love the outdoors and hiking etc). Good transport with trains and busses and what not, between 20-40 mins by train to the city, about 25-30 mins drive to the airport etc etc. Damn i should be a real estate agent or something. Also have an art gallery here, plenty of good restaurants, a few pubs and clubs, lots of libraries, friendly people with a great atmosphere. You get pretty much everything here that is good
  4. there is a better place to meet, well, there are better places, as i live in the area so yea, i could probably fill you in on some details. One place that springs to mind is kirrawee train station carpark. It's fairly large, well lit, and close to a few main roads. There is also a large carpark in loftus, where it serves it's purpose as a carpark for a soccer/cricket field. This is basically RIGHT next to the entrance to the national park, well, that road that leads into it anyway, right off the highway. The carpark should be empty at that time, and is also rather large. I can't remember if it's locked up now or not, but i don't think it is as allot of mountain bikers use it during the day to park there and then set off on their bikes. You could also use Southgate carpark, of southgate shopping centre in Sylvania. It should be relatively quiet at that time of night on a saturday or what ever, as the shops usually aren't open till that time. There is also a McDonalds there and a pub, so Flora St in kirrawee, there's a fair bit of on street parking there, a very very dead quiet street at night (that part of it is anyway). A decent meeting spot as it is quiet, good parking, relatively close to shops, easy access to main roads, and close to the nasho (BTW Flora st is a long street with several sections, this is right down the bottom, where it starts, which is near bath road). I dunno, if you are willing to discuss more meeting points then PM me. I just think it'd be a bit better than homebush as homebush might be out of the way for some, and it'sa fair treck from the nasho, so this area would be best as it's much closer to the actual "target area", so people will head in that direction anyway, rather than say, campbelltown, to homebush, then to nasho, when they can catch the M5 from C'town, then heathcote road to the shire and bob's your uncle.
  5. as for the lebanese people being discriminated against, well, i have nothing against them personally, but you have to admitt, allot of the younger ones act like complete idiots. Allot of them instantly act like they have a VIP pass into a girl's pants, and they act like they are kings. Anyway, i was seeing my girlfriend off in hurstville, as she was getting on a bus, so i gave these two guys a dirty look, and they looked normal after it. Anyway, apparently they were harrassing her on the bus saying "they wanna lick her out" and things like that. And a few nights ago, three guys "oh middle easter appearance" followed her to her street. It's the way that those people act that really brings a dark cloud over the rest of the people. I personally know some very good lebonese people, and it sh*ts me when others instantly ruin their reputation by the way they act in general. On another occasion, i was walking through hurstville with an asian mate of mine, and a group of 4 or 5 middle eastern teenagers started making racist remarks. My asian friend is known to get stirred up VERY easily (he weighs like 75kg and is around 180cm tall, and he took on another mate of mine who is around 190cm tall and weighs like 125kg, and plays pro gridiron), so yea, i just told him to ignore it and basically had to tell him they weren't speaking to him, just to avoid a fight. Anyway, as for the hoons, they should pull their heads out and stop trying to take on the police. The police are just doing their jobs and trying to stop people racing on public roads, especially ones where there is actually traffic flowing. and 2GU UP, i suppose skylines just attract attention from police. I alwas used to think that police were cut cos they couldn't keep up with imports, but yea. Best thing is, don't be a smart ass to them about it, just play smart and know your rights, and that should put them back in their seat. If you feel you were treated unfairly, and im sure you were on a few occasions, make a complaint to the ombadsman. Either way, with that story, it didn't help car enthusiasts when idiots said things like "catch me if you can" and what not, and were actually offering a challenge to the police. Anyway, there might be some wanker policemen out there, who let the power get to their heads, but you also have to think about all the pressures they have associated with their job, so atleast try and cut them SOME slack.
  6. newho, removing or gutting the cat isn't really worth it. A few extra killowhatts, big deal, when you take into consideration all the fines you can get and all the crap you're putting into the atmosphere. There was a hi-flow cat advertised in HPI ages ago. I THINK Just Jap in kirrawee (sydney) might sell them, im not too sure. I'm fairly certain they come in both 3" and 4"
  7. might seem like a stupid question, but, do they do 1989 model R32's?
  8. happens there because the saturday night runs used to meet up at the old Ampol/Maccas there, so, meh, i guess they just meet up there instead. As for people giving the cops shit, they are just doing their jobs. Sure they might be assholes about it, but hey, there's assholes everywhere
  9. yea, silver gts-t, i would have waved, but, i wasn't in a skyline, or even in a car for that matter, and i was just sitting there reading, and you probably would have wondered who or what the fk i was/was doing
  10. aint it like 620? The top secret R33 GT-R ran 3037's, or 3040's i think
  11. question, i see like GT wings on R32 GTS-t's in the pics thread, so i was wondering. Can you actually add seperate bodykit parts and modify your car like that? :S Like with GT wings, bonnets, etc.
  12. so long as you weren't speeding or driving wrecklessly then i think you have nothing to worry about
  13. sure as hell is. Well, more like san andreas now with all the young tryhards running around acting cool. Meh, get this, was in hurstville the other night seeing my gf off, there was a group of like 6 guys, just sitting at a bus stop, hangin out, thinkin they are cool, giving people dirty looks and being dickheads. Anyway, 2 or 3 of them, looked like 16 or so, were wearing suits, just to look "cool" or "gangster". Anyway, hilarious thing was, was that the suit was like 10 sizes too big for them, and looked like they were given to them to grow into, and to top it off they were wearing white sneakers and trying to smoke ciggarettes. N yea, basically they just ran around thinking they owned the place. Either way, this thread is a damn good idea so i say it should be stickied, so people are on the lookout, kinda like our own "neighbourhood watch" Now that i think of it, why not get the admins to make a sort of database, to like help the police track them down etc. Well, here's a basic rundown of the idea that just popped into my head this very minute: Stolen car, or what ever, is reported to the police, then posted on SAU. A seperate topic is made in a special section, giving all details of the theft, like location, rego, any other info. Then, once that is up, people can report in any sightings or information they have, which is then in turn sent to the police/checked by the police, as well as keeping us up-to-date and the owner up-to-date. Once the vehicle or what ever has been recovered, the news is posted, and the topic goes. But, it must be strictly regulated to avoid spamming etc, so no sympathy posts or anything, just genuine reports and information. Newho, that was just a basic idea, there's probably a more elaborate plan or idea hiding somewhere up there in my head.
  14. this might seem like a stupid thing to ask, but hey, im tired, and i noticed it so yea. You're talking about the 2530 in singular form, you're only putting one in? Or is it just, uhm, a typo?
  15. that sucks, well, i'll keep my eyes and ears open (i s'pose there's no harm in asking around as a few people i know are shifty-ish :S)
  16. yea, especially with 875hp lol lol, may eswell just use the cooler as the front bumper while ur at it http://kilander-racing.se/movies/kilander.wmv a video of it doing a 1/4 mile pass. So damn funny, just manages to run a 12.04 with all that power, lol
