  1. So it doesnt come with the tubing for the boost or the light wiring?
  2. Lets do a Skyline Nats or some sort of skyline drag event. Would be nice to run some other skylines but since ive owned it (2 years) theres never been one organised. Hopefully the one next month (Datsan, Nissan) event might attract a few.
  3. Hard question, they ranged from blown to turbocharged, some serious cars there and alot running quick times. Still i beat a lot. If i had some decent tyres and more attraction, i would certainly show a few more up.
  4. I was the only Skyline running against a mob of LS1's. Heathcote in May should be interesting if we can get a group to go up as it will be same day, same track. WIth the stock turbo, the best i managed at Heathcote was a 13.09@105 with a 2.09 60'. Tyres are Sumituno's HRZ 11, 255/40/17, wouldnt mind trying RE55 or the new Toyo's. Will have the burn these ones up first though
  5. Just came back from a big day at Heathcote and the best run was a 12.75@111.5 mph, 60' was 2.19. Thought i was going to beat it as the weather got cooler but could only manage a few more 12.8's. Thought i would go a little better but until next time.
  6. Maybe you dont have the power you think you have then. What Sumitomos you running, im running the HRZ 11, 255/40/17.
  7. About $40 to $50 postage
  8. Ive been there and done all the mods you want to do. Firstly its not going to run good with the stock computer even with a SAFC. Get a Power FC. Then turn up the boost. Stock fuel pump will handle about 16psi and then will struggle to supply more. i ran 18psi but with the stock fuel pump but it was running lean (12.7-1) in the midrange. Get a GTR pump, there cheap. Put in 19psi and you should get around 230rwkw. Im currently pushing 240rwkw at just over 19psi. Mid range go is very very nice. Pulls like a train.
  9. Judging by your nick, youve got a R31. Maybe they have a softer independant rear end than the 33 or much stickier tyres The 33 is slippery, even i get sideways movement in second once i come on boost with a 2530. Count yourself lucky you dont have these issues. First gear is useless. Ive converted back to stock suspension to get some more grip.
  10. By making the gap smaller you are just hiding that fact your ignition system cannot ignite the larger gap of spark. Bigger spark means bigger power. I had to gap my down to .65 with the stock ignition system (obviously they where faulty) but now with spitfires, ive increased my gap to .9. Also the stock ECU maybe dumping too much fuel in for the plugs to fire, hence the miss. Check it out on a dyno for A/F ratios
  11. Cmon, lets get a SAU drag day
  12. Try Swift Automotive in Sunshine. I use his dyno to tune my car SAFC's and Power FC
  13. Ive been to the EPA twice in nearly years and only one yellow sticker, so i don't think its too bad. Make sure its legal height and it aint too loud so you dont attract the initial police attention.
  14. I wouldnt bother with the fuel pump and Z32, spend the money on the power fc and you will be more than happy.
  15. How about RE55's or the Toyo Prozies, apparently they are a pretty good for the strip/street
  16. Im after a true street time with my street tyres. Not interested in a time card i can only run 1% of the time.
  17. Ive got the 2530 which is rated 30hp less than the 2540. Im very happy with the midrange punch it has at 18psi. Its enough to spin the wheels on a rolling road in second gear every time. However, turn the boost down to 16psi and it doesnt do it. Boost does drop top end though, but im more than happy with the midrange punch with this thing. I will have some 1/4 mile numbers soon I wouldnt mind trying the 2540 to compare
  18. Did you have fun on the way home, i was in the red R33
  19. Sorry, i didnt think of standing on the hub, silly me, but i was trying to do it by myself. Well i eventually got it in, i jacked up the strut and knocked it into place. One problem, it looks like a 4WD now, time to give them a hair cut. I cant beleive the weight difference between the Teins and the stockies, must be good for another .01 .
  20. I probably have to squeeze the rear lower arms down 2 inches at least.
  21. I currently have Tein Springs and struts and im putting some stock struts and springs for some 1/4 action. Now ive taken the Teins out many a time which is easy, but these stock struts are about 2 inches higher when sitting side by side. Now i have no hope in streaching these back into place. Also, pushing down on the struts when out of the car, i can hardly budge the stockies (even with my 110kg weight) but i can press on the Teins alot easier. Do i have to compress them to fit back onto the car?? I shouldnt see why i have too and why would they be so hard, are they seized or something?
