  1. Choose option 3 on the Air Flow meter types. Also im still playing the voltage signals to try and get a stable idle.
  2. Off by memory, the ignition maps look pretty similiar to mine. Fuel is way out but depending upon if the setups are different each will be different.
  3. Your right, my brother works at the Mobil Refinery in Melbourne and constantly sees BP trucks drive in.
  4. Hks 2530
  5. Im tempted to go and try to run a mid 12. We have booked a fall days racing at Heathcote on the 23rd April so im prepping my car for that.
  6. Im talking about traction v's low down power as in the described text
  7. Can you take a picture of you pressure sensor! Is it the one that reads boost?
  8. I somewhat disagree, No matter what housing you get your still going to get wheelspin. Say we have 2 turbos, one producing midrange and the other top end. Ok, both are going to produce wheelspin in first gear regardless. Now, second gear, one produces maximum power earlier than the other, say 500rpm?? So one spins or 7/8 kmh before the other, lets say 10kmh it is then, so one spins at 60kmh and the other at 70kmh, one has more power than the other so in my theory they would spin about the same. And the wheelspin you get at those speeds does not really slow you down. Now 3rd gear, if you can get wheelspin you have a mighty strong motor, so i would say the midrange turbo would jump the top end turbo initially and then the top end turbo coming over the top.
  9. If you get your car tuned at 13psi, then that is the maximum it is tuned at (refering to the loads on the Power FC) If you cant place anymore load, how can you tune it? What i am saying is, that at 18psi my load points on the power fc reach upto 16, so there is another 4 to go, going by the 20*20 table. So i do put -a rough tune from loads 17-20. I do my own tuning anyway so thats my theory. Im not worried about boost spike as i have never experienced it but some people worry about it.
  10. Wheres your cold air coming from?
  11. So in summary, with a careful tune, i shouldnt encontour any problems. I think the best way also is to have a look at your pfc handcontroller and make sure timing is decreased and fuel increased past the tuned point of the power fc. This will help save your motor if ever there is a boost spike.
  12. Timing does seem to be low at 14. Is this your base timing or max timing?
  13. Yeah running an adjustable HKS actuator too hold boost, but i have screwed it up that much im wondering whether im limiting the travel the wastegate opens. I might put it in the proper position and use my bleed valve.
  14. My situation is, i got a 2530 cheap and im running 18.4psi. Im quite impressed with the results and i wouldnt mind pushing it further as i know the HKS will push more than 18psi. Yes we are dropping down to 13.5psi above 6000rpm which tells me the turbo is ineffeicent. However i am very impressed with mid range torque this turbo is pushing and if i can get some more in it in the mid range i will try. Tuning is done on the dyno to get the A/F ratios level and of course ive always got my ear out for ping.
  15. Ok, i have 2 scenarios, which one is going to cause more internal damage to a RB25DET motor; 1) A smaller turbo running very high boost but producing less power or 2) A bigger turbo running less boost but producing more power Remember both turbo's will be tuned well. Exactly, how much boost can these motors handle or do we base it on RWKW
  16. Im ready to go as soon as you are.
  17. Im using a 100mm drain pipe or a similar rubber tube would be good. Surprising though, not much rubbish gets in there. Thats why youve got the air filter for.
  18. Yes, you need to run it on the dyno to get an air fuel reading. By the 3rd or 4th run, you should have a pretty straight A/F curve
  19. Would they replace the Tein Springs? If you dont know can your measure the width and height and i will measure mine and if its the same i will buy.
  20. I have trouble with the 2nd to 3rd shift whenever i do a burnout in 2nd gear. When i do a burnout in 1st gear, i never miss a shift, only with the 2nd gear burnouts, go figure!!
