  1. Works the same way for getting the bolt out, just heat it up, the heat should melt the threadlocker and it will come out easy
  2. Depending on the type of adhesive it is you can also heat it up with a heat gun or something and it will just wipe off. Just don't snort the fumes
  3. Definatley not a fan looks like a BA Falcon mixed with a Astra :s I'm waiting to see the new GTR's and Camaro's, I don't see the point in performance family cars.....eg. HSV's....
  4. Firsty I didn't take the photo, one of my friends did, thats why it's so bad But it was a skyline, it ran up one of those wires that hold telephone poles into the ground. Was in Northcote over the weekend.
  5. As the name says Merida Dakar 670 mens mountain bike, want to sell it as i haven't used it since i got my liscense 3 years ago and it is taking up space. Don't really know too much about bikes but it's a GT design bike, 21 gears, brand new tioga front tyre, orginal maxxis rear tyre. There are a few paint chips on the frame but overall the bike is in good condition. Looking for $300
  6. I was going to use the engine out of this car in my own but decided to go another way and want to get rid of it. Car has no rego or rwc, I would say the car is in fair condition for it's age have listed the things below that i know are wrong with it etc. Good car for wrecking or to fix up for a cheap daily car. Last time it was serviced they said the following was wrong with it: - Radiator Overflow Cap Broken - Rear Brake Pads - Front castor and Rear trailing arm bushes - Engine coolant leaks (I haven't seen any signs of this) - Rocker cover gasket leaks I haven't driven it much but it does seem to run fairly well, It's not the nicest car is the world but it does drive ok I am looking for around $1000 for the car but am very flexible on price for a quick sale. (no stupid offers please) I am located in Mill Park (northern suburbs of melb) if you want to come check the car out.
  7. Lol I like it now where to get one.....
  8. I'll be interested to see what comes of these new legislations. Will see what happens after the first high speed chase ending in death because it would have been the drivers 3rd offence, and the second and third and fourth time it happens and then when innocent bystanders are killed in a chase and so on...... As bad as it is to say alot more people are going to run when they are faced with loosing their cars.....
  9. I have no idea about the difference between the single and twin hole spray injectors, i thought they just all had 4 holes that they spray out of? I'm not sure the exact downfalls of putting in too big an injector, if you put in big ones and get it tuned for them i can't see there being a problem but people still seem to say don't go too much overkill. I think it's more if you put in bigger ones and don't get it tuned you will be pumping in too much fuel which is knida obvious to anyone i would think Have a talk to Racespec there on this forum but they have pretty good prices on Sard injectors, about 900 for 700cc ones and a little less for smaller ones.
  10. Does anybody know a good place to buy these from, somewhere with a decent range? Somewhere in Vic is prefered but anywhere will do.
  11. I'm in the same boat as you then, i'm making about 300kw and the stock fuel system is pretty much maxed out. if you don't want to go more than 350kw 550-600cc injectors would be heaps and perhaps an 040 or something in the tank to suit. There's a thread around somewhere as well that shows how to rewire the fuel pump to provide it with the correct 13.8V instead of whatever it normally recieves which might be of some intrest to you also. The other thing to check is the flow rate of the standard fuel filters as this might also have to be replaced with something a little more high flowing. I'm looking at doing a little more with mine, surge tank etc. I want to get bigger turbos down the track as I am still running stockies but I think in the end it all comes down to your budget. Ah ok, nah it's just I know a guy that uses the same name as his online name too
  12. How much power/what other mods have been done to the car and what do you plan on doing? If you move to too big an injector you will just find yourself wasting fuel. I have been told a good option for a mildly modified GTR is to use 13B injectors, there 550cc and will only set you back about $50 each second had from somewhere like promaz. If you are wanting bigger injectors though yes you will need a better fuel pump, I am currentley going through the same process as you with my car just buying all the bits and bobs to upgrade the fuel system as it's currentley whats limiting my car at the moment BTW are you the guy from shafted lan? Just the same nick that all
  13. The drive through is open 24/7...I think?
  14. Just went down now and the line is still like a km long and it's 10:30pm at night We got told only the store closes at 11, drive through will still stay open. The police were still there too and saw a bunch of guys in a commodore in the kmart carpark getting a talking to by the boys in blue
  15. Obviuosly have nothing better to do with their lives If they can't wait for them that much why don't they just go to sydney and get them....although being able to say I had the first KK dounut sold in Vic is kinda cool
  16. You can be EPAed via a letter in the mail because of a complaint somebody/s made, but i think there have to be multiple complaints and it does not carry a fine you only have to get it cleared etc. Has happened to a few friends of mine. You can also recieve a fine (after a warning notice) from people reporting your driving. I recieved a warning notice with the threat of a fine if i do it again after I 'apparantley' failed to stop for a tram. It was at a set of lights I stopped behind it waited for the passengers to get off and the doors to close and then moved up to the line at the lights...driver went mental and I got the letter a few weeks later, I presume this must also apply to every old joe on the streets if they report it to the right people. This could extend to the whole loosing your car thing aswell I know there is a big thing around my area in all the local newspapers etc "Dob in Hoon"..... Really that should apply to this whole new law as well, there is no 'evidence' as such that you were hooning, it's your word against theirs...I will be interested to wait and see what happens with the first few people that get their cars confiscated for good and the law suits to follow etc.....
  17. http://www.carminder.com.au/index.htm Thats the only one I have ever been able to find that looks half decent. I think they are about $1000 for the unit. I haven't got one but would like to hear from someone who has....
  18. Lol, Maybe I will I agree with Abcent though, is this just going to be a blanket rule or will it be left to the cops discretion as to weather or not you were hooning? I know we have all either encountered or heard about EPA's for rediculous reasons why would this be any different....
  19. Ah ok, Thought that might be the case.
  20. Dunno if this is the same car or someone has just got the plates of it but might want to have a look at this thread that was around a week or so ago, apparantley the car was written off??? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=120976
  21. The supra guys will be there tomorrow night i think....actually tonight
  22. Satanic - Do you have an pics of the actual kickplates you were going to make up, doesn't have to be the exact same just an example. Might be able to help out with making them up. From what has been said I have a similar thing in my commodore I think?
  23. I am after the silver surround and clear face to fit a HKS Chrono Gauge. Or perhaps a gauge that doesn't work that I can pinch these bits from for mine
  24. I haven't got it but want it also, been in the same boat trying to find out the different options. Seems you can either have a unit you buy then you pay for a subscription to a company who monitors it for you and in the case it's stolen give the details to the police and they recover it for you (you hope anyway we all know what the police are like with stolen cars) Kinda like monitored home security. Or you can have yourself a more DIY approach which I like the sound of more and get something like this http://www.carminder.com.au/index.htm .
