  1. Depends how much money you have to spend Doesn't really matter too much though, as far as I can think all the other bushes are on fairly easily removable components.
  2. When I did the subframe bushes in my 32 I bought the ones from shocksystems, worked well. Absolute prick of a job to do though, a press would have made things easier but even still it's a punish! I called a couple of places to get quotes on getting it done and they said they weren't interested, most places said we just put pineapples in. Pineapples help but replacing the whole bush is soooooo much better
  3. hmmm, wonder if fast lists the part numbers for the subframes. Will have to have a look on my mates comp on the weekend
  4. Yeh there doesn't seem to be a whole load of information around about this, I am trying to find out if the 33 GTST and GTR rear subframes are the same or different?
  5. No idea if they will fit an s14, I bought them for my 32 gtst, bit on searching on ns should be able to tell you. Spring rates are 8kg front and 6kg rear. They are height adjustable, with how I had them setup they could have gone probably an inch or so lower from memory. Pic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a273103-
  6. Nitrogen goes in the bottom, generally about 30-40psi I believe
  7. jack handle aka torque multiplier....I do this too
  8. Roadys are the biggest crock of bullshit in the world as far as I am concerned. I just went through the punish of getting one on my 32 when I sold it. They pulled me up for: - Front tyres ( camber wear, 2 month old $550 pair of tyres, inside cm, yes 1cm! of tread is below 1.5mm, rest is as new! wtf the tread tapers at the edges anyway?) what did I do I replaced them with a cheap old, hard, half worn pair of taxi tyres and they passed! - Rust/crack in the rear qtr, 5 minutes of filler and touchup paint and its magically ok now? - Worn steering wheel, $10 supercheap cover and that was ok then? - Windscreen, because it's the original one so it's pretty old? WTF! not because it was chipped or broken or anything, because it's the original? Changed that. - Wiper blades, but I put new wiper blades in last night? Didn't change them, just said I did when I took it back and it was ok.....work that one out? - blocked window washer, one out of 4, pin, poke, unblocked.....maybe the only legit thing... So really tell me, how does that make my car more roadworthy? cos those taxi tyres were f**kin poo in comparison to the semi's...... Anyway enough with the ranting, and on with my info Bit late now but you should have got the car changed into your name while you were up there buying it if he supplied u with a roady. All you need to do is have a garaging address up there you can give them, and the contact details/proof of address of the person living there. Then when you come back here there is no need for a roady to get it transfered as its in ur name there. Out of interest what sort of things you ben pulled up on, might be able to help out.
  9. Might be abit late now, but did this on my 32 when I had it. I just changed 1 hinge at a time so didn't have to disconnect anything excpet the hinge, supported the door with a jack when the hinge was off. Used silicon on both sides, seemed like the same stuff was on both when I pulled it off. Was a bit of a pain in the ass getting the door lined up and latching nicley afterwards, was a matter of setting the jack to different heights with the hinge bolts loose and then tightening the bolts and seeing how it latched
  10. Why not? I understand ti doesn't transfer heat as well as s/s but I would have thought the stable temp it sits at when driving wouldn't have been much different? Yeh i've been having a crack at doing some rolling at work, isn't as easy as it looks, took a while to get to the point where I could roll lengths the same. I'm off work for 9 weeks now so won't be getting this done for a while. On a side note does anyone know where I can get a 'Y' piece that goes from one 3.5" to 2x2.5"?
  11. This comes to my mind, if you are going to take it slow.
  12. Wouldn't you have noticed you were approaching the car on the onramp faster than normal as they were going slow and adjusted your speed accordingly as she merged infront of you? I'm all about sitting beside people who can't merge at the right speed to make their lives hard, but if you almost run into them when they do merge perhaps u need to pay more attention
