17x9 Work Equip Wheels With Tyres
Omurru replied to Omurru's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)

Item: 17x9 Work Equip 3-piece Wheels, +18 Offset, Nexen N3000 Tyres Location: Melbourne, Northern Suburbs Item Condition: Good condition, Usual scratches/gouges around the lip of the rim otherwise good Price and Payment Conditions: $800 Extra Info: 2 of the wheels are very slightly buckled hence the cheap price. I was quoted $50 each to have them repaired but haven't had time. You get very minor vibrations through the steering wheel at about 110km/h. Two of the tyres are pretty much unroadworthy as they are just above the wear indicators and have camber wear on the outside shoulder as can be seen in the picture, The other two are about 2mm above the indicators and have minimal camber wear.

I know it's kinda different but it's worth a try, I've been playing with Divx DVD players and the WD 320gb passport HDD I have works fine with it when the manual for the dvd player says it only works with flash media. The WD passport only has one USB connection, might work with car headunits too as I can see a car headunit usb being much different from a DVD player one?

China Intake Pipe Kit For Your Gtr - A Review.
Omurru replied to rev210's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have been looking at buying one of these kits for a while, but from what you guys have said think I might steer clear! On a side note I also have one of the cooling pro radiators in my GTR, I used some external ground leads, a high pressure cap and run straight water with the redline water wetter and it works awesome, been in there about 10 months now and seen a few track days with no issues or corrosion! -
Split/cracking Sidewalls On Tyres
Omurru replied to Omurru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Dammit why can't I edit posts! Well anyway, spoke to the area manager for the store today and have organised to get some new tyres at one of his other stores for a reduced price so happy about that. Was nice to talk to someone who actually knew something about the products, apparantley mononews are new and not remoulds, the company Motorway did both although everything I can find about the company only says they did remoulds/retreads and the guy at the store agreed with me that they were remoulds but still, happy to have worked something out so the whole deal was not a total loss. -
I used eastlink on tuesday with no tag and rang up wednesday and sorted it all out, cost like $4 something. She just asked for rego, make/model and charged me the max toll fee I think? When I said it was a skyline and a coupe she did say "no they only come in 4door according to this" I loled and said don't worry about it, just find a random coupe and say it's black you got the rego anyway.....

Split/cracking Sidewalls On Tyres
Omurru replied to Omurru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Stock height commodore, I can almost fit my head inbetween the tyre and guard Had a closer look today as I went down my parents place, it appears the very outer couple of mm of the sidewall is cracking and begining to peel away from the rest of the tyre, when you look closley some are just cracks, but the larger ones are peeling away on both sides of the cracks. Anyway the story, the tyres are Motorway Mononew's. Yes when I bought them I did know they were obviously going to be cheepass tyres at 150 each, but it's a commodore so it didn't really bother me and the guy assured me he had had no issues with them in the past. When I found out about the cracking the first thing I did was jumped on the net to find out a bit more about them, to my surprise they are actually manafactured here in Vic and low and behold there remoulds as well. This I wasn't too happy about as I was never told this when purchasing them and if I had been I would have got something else. Now for the bummer, the company motorway closed down in august of this year so I thought there goes any chance of replacements/refunds. Still I went back to the place I bought them from this afternoon knowing I wasn't going to get anything for free but thinking perhaps we'd be able to work out some sort of deal on a new set of tyres, boy was I wrong a short what I thought to be genuinly polite conversation about the tyres with the store manager abruptly ended in him telling me he didn't have time for this rubbish and storming off...even after i'd told him I was aware the manafacturer had closed and I understood I wouldn't be getting anything replaced/free of charge. I will follow it up with the head office as the store is a reputable chain but I don't think it will go anywhere. Guess the moral of the story is remoulds/retreads suck ass *Note* - I know I can't name the business on an open forum but if anyone wants to know pm me -
Just give access to extra rooms/areas. From what I can gather there will be a range of other small rooms to go along with the main stage, but pfft who wants the be in a little side room when you can be out in the middle of the action. Not sure weather they are the same though?

Split/cracking Sidewalls On Tyres

I won't name the brand/type of tyre yet incase it turns out to be a user fault but has anyone ever seen anything like this before? I've seen tyres split on the treads but never the sidewall and the cracks are fairly deep, id say all the way through the rubber to the reinforcement. All 4 tyres are doing the same thing, some worse than others. No out of the ordinary use, there on a stock V6 commodore, tyre pressures between 34-38 and about 15000k's on them..... -
Bangkok will go something cheap, as were only really going there for the shopping, and the fact the flight goes through there In Phuket looking at staying in the Patong Beach area, one of the guys coming seems hell bent on staying there, don't know why really but whatever Probably looking to spend about $150-$200 a night there in one of the resorts more so than a hotel, but looking at prices for the time of year were going seems like we'll be spending at least that if not more.
-
I'm planning a trip to Thailand early next year with a few friends, I know alot of people on here have been there of late just interested to hear where you stayed and what you thought of it. Looking for resorts in Phuket and hotels in Bangkok.

Mine does that anyway, without VMWare, just normally in windows, i'm pretty sure there was an auto-sync option somewhere u can turn off. I plug mine in and fagtunes starts up but it doesn't do anything till I press sync, at the same time it comes up as a camera/storage device in windows. Had mine for about a month now, haven't jailbroken it yet as I haven't had the need, Everything I have wanted to do I have been able to do without doing it. Some of the things I like about it: - Remote Desktop - The ability to control fagtunes wirelessley which is good for when ur outside and the music is on inside although I wanna find an app that will do it with a better program, I think theres one floating around for winamp/mediaplayer - The messaging is mad, I haven't had any probs whatseoever with the little keyboard though, the intuitive text is wicked, it doesn't matter 90% of the time if u hit the wrong letter, it comes up with the right word anyway - Got an app called wififofum for finding wireless networks, possiably the best $4 I have ever spent! - Safari is wicked to use as far as internet on phones go, would be nice to have some flash support though Things I don't like: - No MMS, this is possiably the gayest thing apple have ever done and they do alot of gay shit, and apple excuse, it had email why would u want mms? BECAUSE 99.99% OF THE POPULATION DON'T HAVE EMAIL ON THEIR PHONE IDIOTS! - The GPS is crap, it's just google maps with the ability to locate where u are, and it doesn't even keep where u are on the screen, when the dot gets to the edge of the screen it just dissapears u have to move the map with ur finger to see the dot again. - End calling is gay, I always do the same - The way fagtunes arranges/plays music is crap, I want folders not playlists goddammit! I dunno if there's ways to fix any of that, someone was talking about an mms app the other day but I haven't looked into it yet. Something I really want for it though is a torrent client, I was looking a couple of weeks ago for one and ppl seem to be working on doing it but as yet haven't been able to find a good one to use. Still it's a wicked phone and I have to say for a 1.3mp camera it takes pretty good photos!

"The batteries in hybrid cars are designed to last the life of the vehicle, said to be at least 10 years. To date, Toyota Australia has not had to replace a hybrid battery under warranty" Lol yeh thats because the warranty is only 3 yr's, how bout after that, go talk to some of the first gen prius owners that are up for battery replacement and see how much they have to fork out for new ones...... I don't see why car companies are spending money developing hybrid cars when everybody knows eventually they will just be electric, why not spend that money from developing hybrids on developing electric ones now? If I can build in my back yard for under 20g's an electric car that has a top speed of 100+ and will get 150Km to a charge why can't car companies build and sell something comparable? I'm looking at buying a small car at the moment and if I could buy an electric one with those spec's for somewhere round that price i'd be there now with my hand up. On a performance note, think of the possiabilities with electric's, in a petrol car you have one motor and the power has to be sent to the wheels through some sort of mechanical drivetrain, with an electric car you have a motor in each wheel all of which are completley independently controlled....as far as handling and control go it would be insane!

See I was walking down the street last night, and this guy got in my way, so I killed him. So they wanna put me in jail for life....anyway I can get out of it? ......I don't think so

Saw this on the freight apron at work tonight, was actually in pretty poor condition, paint was all damaged, scratched everywhere, the brakes rotors were rooted.....

How big are you guys sandwhich plates? I'm running a greddy sandwhich plate/cooler kit and have no issues what so ever fitting a normal filter. I'm using the K&N filters as well so if anything they are even longer! Gareth, My oil cooler is in the front LHS guard, fits well, pm me ur email or msn and i'll send you some piccies
-
Why? it's not like the photos are in real time...The streetview photo of my house is almost a year old and the satellite photo is over 3.... Pretty sure there still going aren't they? saw one of the cars the other day. Found a few skylines round my area too and somebody gettin in their car round the corner
-
Wholly crap $400, I need to start myself a workshop Kit's are pretty easy to install, as long as your still running stock cooler pipes etc. I had a few probs with mine as the cooler pipes are all custom so it didn't fit in the RHS guard where it was supposed to go, had to make it fit in the LHS but my cooler is fully ducted as well which was a bit of work in itself.

Just got some too. Although hopefully i'll be there with inthemix anyway
-
Just sounds to me like your saying they can be used on silicone radiator hoses....
-
Ok deleted the last post and will try again. You can't just buy a wiggins clamp and slam it on over your silicon joins/hoses, there not that type of clamp. They can only be used for metal piping as you need to weld on the ferrules. Yes I know you can use them for pretty much anything. Had a quick look around for some pics to explain what I mean.
-
Wouldn't have thought a wiggins clamp would pull down hard enough to be used on a radiator hose. They use flanged pipes and orings, they don't use compression to seal they use the orings hence their flexibility?

I reckon Wolf Creek is possiably the most annoying movie I have ever watched! FFS how many oportunities do they get to kill the guy! +1 for hills have eyes movies, that shit is just plain f**ked up!
