    Radar Guns

Some of them have them mounted on the roof of the cars and they can get you when they are moving as well. Other than that all he has to do is take a guess as to what speed you were doing and fine you for the guessed speed
  2. Does anybody know if there are any differences between the 32 and 33 GTR sump/front diff assemblys?
  3. Well I know where i'll be New Years! From inthemix:
  4. Well I guess your proof that you do then Where is she selling them? My housemate works for optus and they alone got alot more then 1000 units in their first shipment, so if you add on the telstra and vodafone ones as well....well you see where it's going....
  5. I don't think YOU realise how things work. People post alot of shit on forums but I reckon you take the cake. There are plenty of places around Melbourne that stock JDM parts. Not sure about ones in the western suburbs though, most of them are in the east. Fair enough alot of the time it is cheaper to buy online but if you wanna buy it from a shop there's absolutley no reason you can't. Access is excellent for new stuff, Rampant for 2nd hand, Powerflow stock most common injectors, onautos can get pretty much anything at very good prices, most autobarns can order in a wide variety of jap parts but they are expensive. If you have a look in the traders section you'll find some others around Aus as well which are all fairly big stores/business's.
  6. This doesn't actually mean on the freeway, they sit in the two driveways to the left as you get of the freeway and head north/just north of the overpass Western Ring (Radar Guns): Motorbikes sit under/just off the rd the two foot bridges between Pascoe Vale Rd tunnel and Sydney Rd generally Greensborough bound Marked but also seen unmarked cars on the side of the road between Sydney Rd and Cragieburn bypass just infront of pipeworks On the slopes behind the Edgars rd overpass both directions Service lane at the end of the onramp from the Cragieburn bypass Airport bound (get you as u come down the hill) The big island at the Greensborough end of the Ring where you get on, (generally facing towards Watsonia) At the Greensborough end of the Ring were it becomes 90 and splits in 2 they sit up the dirt rd in the middle
  7. hmmm been looking for a while now and it's kinda dissapointing that the only systems I can find that come anywhere close to doing what I want are the cheepass $300 ones of ebay......Most of the big name brand ones only seem to send u an sms in the case of activation of the alarm, there's no or extremley limited sms controlling features.... Appart from not complying with the australian regs for black wiring which isn't hard to change what are the other draw backs of one of these cheeper units? I don't need GPS tracking as I already have that in a completley separate unit that is elsewhere in the car.
  8. I live just up the road from the uni, don't go there though
  9. not half as gay as what happened this arvo. Guy rang me up from the store this arvo to say he was just putting my thing through as the systems were back up. So went down there only to find out my credit check had failed. Hung around in the store for an hour and a half trying to find out why, after multiple call centres and 4 people just hanging up on me I got told there was/is no reason for it to fail it just did. And they can't do another one for 3 months!
  10. So you don't have to carry around 2 separate devices The 2 things I really like about the iphones is the ease of use of the internet client, and the way it does text messages, instead of one message on the screen at a time it shows you the whole message history with the person your replying to. I hate always having to save and go back to see what the txt I am replying to said. And as Adz's said, you can't beat the size/quality/ease of use of the touchscreen.
  11. Interested in some black one too
  12. Explain to me why...remember my requirements for a phone might be different from yours so saying it has this and that which the iphone doesn't is pointless.... Not sure about the bluetooth....I don't think so though.....
  13. Why thank you, i'm sure it will Dunno bout the speaker haven't got it yet, it's sitting at the store waiting till they can do a credit check. The american 2G ones will work here as long as they have been hacked, a friend of mine has had one for ages, dunno what the go with the 3G ones is
  14. So who else lined up this morning? I went to northland and the optus store there had sold out at 8am, and telechoice said they were ony giving them to people who had pre-paid....(fags!) So went to Greensborough and lined up for an hour to get one from optus. Got the second last one and the NAC went down so they couldn't sign me up, need to wait for it now hopefully this afternoon. One of my mates was in the city and he said the line there was 80-100 people long!

    Car Vs House

And might stop posting useless comparisons.....
  16. yeh thats pretty much the only one I can find, i'm sure there was more. Problem with the mongoose is it's very basic in it's sms functionality and you still have to have like 4 separate units....
  17. Maybe the paint defects are not so much to do with poor paint to begin with but how it's been looked after? Also I can't imagine the whole shipping it here would do it much good. Pic of same car from another post:
  18. I remember seeing somewhere alarm/immobiliser units that you could control with sms's in addition to the keyfob. I'm after one in particular that I can start/stop my car via sms's. Is there a single unit that can do this or will I have to daisy chain multiple unit together? Would be nice if it had a turbo timer / 3 point immobilisation as well
  19. Well this isn't at all embarrassing....top night though
  20. who's Mark Wary anyway? i've never heard of him?
  21. Were talking about falken tyres though, not the dunlop ones your selling....
  22. Anyone know if there is anywhere in melbourne that do this?
  23. Tempe are probably so cheap because they sell so many so they buy in bulk. I bought wheels from tempe a few years ago and the shipping to get them down here was only $85. Might be worth buying them there and just getting them sent down, i'll go in with you, get 8 they might even do a better price.....
  24. Anybody know the actual reason calder are charging so much for everything these days?
  25. I wouldn't really say so, I wasn't at future but friends of mine were and they said it wasn't too bad. I was at Armin and it was all very civil apparantley Tiesto's gig's were the same. f**k me if it's that big omg! Will definatley be there regardless!
