  1. ^ I know, beer is for the back yard, spirits are for a clasy place like the park
  2. the f**ked thing about it is it's starting to become a common occurence round Melbourne. What the hell ever happened to just beating people up what a beast even with genuine drift damage
  3. lol, has anyone read through the rest of that thread on the corvette forum? I love how some people are so "this car is the best and everything else sucks"
  4. ^ lol, ditto, although I do like the fact everyone thinks I have "vortex generators"
  5. This is on my to do list as well, dammit, that list is so long. Gates Racing make very good quality hoses, I have used them on other cars and they are much better than the stock ones, they tend not to go all soft and loose around fittings after time like other hoses do. I'm not sure about them making the heater hoses though, I know they make the main ones.
  6. pffft, doesn't look like a public road to me? who cares! Good to see some cops are alright though
  7. lol, I try this is a car forum after all
  8. What question? she's not asking where should I mount it? she's asking how to. And lol at so many people in this thread telling her how to mount it in the middle when she said bottom left hmmm bored, bedtime I think......
  9. As redevil said above many other cars have exposed coilpacks, and I have been driving round for a couple of years now without it on and my car also passed roadworthy without it so I would highly doubt it could be doubed as illegal.
  10. True, but I think you'll find the temp between the AFM and the manifold will change significantly and it may not be a linear change between the two as the temps rise. I'm pretty sure GTR's have an intake air temp readout option on the PFC hand controller, though I ain't sure where exactly they pick up the temp from. The sensor being under load shouldn't really be a problem, you'd use one of the metal probe ones like a water temp sensor as opposed to a resistor type one.....
  11. Wouldn't you want to be measuring the airtemp as it goes into the engine not into the turbo?
  12. Omurru

    Hicas

Get a lock bar, apparently chicks love them too......
  13. Ya, when they talk about plasma coating the bores it's the same as the method they use on motorbikes. I can't remember where I was reading it, it had nothing to do with the new GTR but talking about doing it to car engines. For the reason you stated, less bore wear, but I doubt it would have to be redone every 100K I thought the whole point of it from the article I was reading was to extend engine life.....
  14. lol at this thread in for the cruising though
  15. ok before I vote why does everyone want benno's shaft so badly? whats so good about it?
  16. Why not use an rb30 block? Might be a bit easier to get hold of and cheaper.....
  17. Been using one of the greddy ones for a couple of years now with no issues....Fair enough the engine is going to move around a bit but the joiners still give a bit of flex, and if your engine is moving around that much that it's gonna cause a problem I think new engine mounts are in order......
  18. there's a topgear episode where they have a mercialago I think being driven by a racing driver and clarkson is running after him in an evo and the lambo can't get away from it...good little cars. But then again, keep the 34, mod the shit out of it and get something nice a luxury to drive round as a daily
  19. If your not worried about the legality, and you want flames why not just sidepipe it....no restrictions whatsoever then.... But a more practical idea if you have money burning a hole in your pocket try and find yourself one of the veilside teardrop titanium exhausts, there 90mm, so not quite 4" but close enough, and they are by far the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on any jap car....
  20. Lol I know who should get this
  21. cool bannanas
  22. Lol I like that analagy I think the problem is more the driver, I wanna go faster around corners but the car doesn't When I slowed down a bit through the corner it was a little less hairy..... Yeh, Just trying to find info on the different HKS kits avaliable. Yar I wasn't really planning on getting a relocator thing but from what I can find the kit that comes with the deflectors comes with that as well. I probably really only need the basic kit. Cooler, lines and adapter plate, I can make up the deflectors at work. You reckon a thermostat is required as the car does see a bit of street driving......
  23. Yup yesterday was awesome! And can I add spinning twice and nearly spinning another couple of times, through the corner at the end of the backstraight to the crazyness! I really need semi's and an oil cooler oh and the fact I had to get Mark to drive me down the servo for fuses when I popped the fuel pump one and later realised I could have just pulled the one out of the line to the amp which is all of like 5cm from the fuel pump ones! Ant - You wouldn't happen to know the part number for you oil cooler kit would you? Should ask if it's the HKS one as well looked like it....
  24. stock injectors, pump and exhaust will easily handle that power. remapped ecu and boost controller he has. reckon that power is very doable with turbos and a remap......and maybe a boost controller as well..... Perhaps you've got some similar stuff to mine in there, cams, highflows etc.....if everything on the outside looks stock.
  25. What about HPC coating(not sure if thats right like they do with exhaust manfolds you get what I mean ) the shims? Wouldn't that give you a better thermal resistance than just bare metal on metal...whatever that metal might be?
