  1. Bought these aproximatley a year ago but am selling the car without them. These are fantastic coilovers and for the $1600 I paid for them they are far better than alot of other stuff I have used costing alot more! They are in as new condition and I don't think you could find a better set without buying new anywhere! Will get some picks up ASAP. Asking $1200 +$50 delivery to most places in Australia or pickup from Mill Park. Ph: Kyle on 0422089059 or PM Me!
  2. Car has standard type suspension back in it now, Bilstein shocks in the rear and KYB's in the front, both are in excellent condition. Also the crack in the rear wheel arch has been cleaned up. $8000 or $7500 with no roady....come on people grab yourself a bargin!
  3. I have access to pretty much everything I could ever need at work engineering wise. Nitrogen charging isn't an issue.
  4. Alot of the blokes I work with ride bikes and rebulding/revalving shocks seems to be a standard every day thing for them, they continously have shocks at work that their rebuilding and it doesn't seem all that hard, how come it seems to be almost black magic when it comes to doing it for cars? I don't have a huge understanding of it all yet and neither do some of them, they just say yeh we get the specs for valving/spring rates for our weight and bike of the internet and just do it..... Now in trying to understand how all this works I am presuming there has to be some sort of relationship between spring rates and valving? I have always wondered when you buy these cheap chinese coilovers and they offer multiple spring rates for the same shock how well does that work?
  5. I don't see whats wrong with this? The only reason I can think people wouldn't like it is if they had a reason to hide/potentially hide.....
  6. Easy solution, Buy my car, It's good!
  7. RDO's are to do with being paid on an hourly basis and paid meal breaks etc. I get paid overtime, if I work 4hours overtime I get paid for 4hours. Where as I work for 8hours a day standard shift with .8 of an hour breaks and get paid for 7.2hours a day hence I accrue RDO's at a rate of .8 hours a day...basically means I get paid breaks. For different people it works different ways, it's all about what your EBA says and the shifts that you work. The question I ask you though is what would you do without tradies? Yes some are slackasses and will be doing basic jobs that earn 50g a year for the rest of their lives but we need those people. There are however alot of highly skilled trades as well that also pay alot more. I am for example an engineer for Qantas, without people doing my job Qantas aircraft would not be allowed to fly. I did an apprentiship, I have spent years learning/studying and still am and thousands on license courses, there's not a whole lot of difference between someone like me and and someone who goes to uni and stuidies and then gets a job, it's just different process of doing it. My brother for example has done HR at uni, 3 days a week, half of that he doesn't even go to, while earning 45g a year at the same time working at coles and now he's finished uni has a fantastic fulltime HR job, nothing bad about that? The bonuses being offered are a great idea, We need tradies, there's no denying it, if you want more and people aren't doing it you need to give them an incentive, it's as simple as that. Us whinging about it is all people who have recently finished apprentiships and missed out on these incentives, none of us really care we just like whinging because were traides BTW, someone said you were a real estate agent? I'm looking for a place in North Melb or Carlton at the moment, where bouts you work?
  8. I know tell me about it! All the apprentices at work get this too, even the adult ones! What did I get? I got a second job doing nightfill!
  9. I am hoping to get this done later this year also. My optometrist keeps telling me he won't let me get it done till I am 25. It’s always interesting to hear about other people’s experiences. From the people I have talked to it seems to effect people who wear contact lenses alot less, maybe because there used to that feeling of having something in their eye? Ferah - What have medownick said about your brother, has he been back to see them since?
  10. Yeh thats ok, no need for bends
  11. I know this seems like a pretty simple question but I am after 3.5" stainless pipe with a sidewall less than 1.6mm, I have rung around a number of exhaust shops and they all seem to say 1.6mm is all they can get and all they use, and the steel suppliers I have rung don't carry pipe of that diameter to begin with. After something with a bit thinner wall to help save some weight and hopefully it will give me a bit of a raspier note as well similar to using titanium....

  13. I bought this car from another SAU member about a year ago but I am looking at buying an appartment in the city so unfortunatley two cars isn't practical and well I love the other one more so this one has to go, It has 196,000kms on it now, it had done 177,000kms when I bought it. The previous owner imported it in 2003 when it came in from Japan as a 70,000km rating 4 car (still have auction sheets). So the K's are as genuine as you can get, this isn't a freshly imported 20yr old car with 80,000km's on the clock but looks like it has done a million, it's a well looked after car that mechanically is in fantastic condition. Im a Mechanic by trade and am fairly fussy with my cars and have done a fair bit of work on it in the last year. The timing belt was done at 111,000kms so it still has a bit to go. I have been driving the car daily since I have had it and it has never missed a beat. On the current tune with BP Ultimate the car gets about 9L/100Km's on the freeway and 12L/100Km's around town. List of factory features include: - Upgrade factory option interior (GTR cloth - looks so much better than the normal black) - Type-M so has the 4 pot front brakes and the crome grille insert. Interior goodies: - Ultra Speed meter with speed limiter removal and 0-400 timer - Ultra Auto Turbo Timer - JVC EXAD KD-LHX555 CD/MP3/SD card/tuner headunit which has colour touch screen and 1GB SD card included. - JL Audio 6" 2-way component splits in the front - JVC 6" 2-way 200W speakers in the rear - Mongoose M30 Alarm/immobiliser System Exterior goodies: - Front and rear strut tower braces - 26mm Whiteline rear swaybar - Rose joint tie-rods in front - HSD HR Coilovers (Approx 1yr old, I put them in when I first bought the car as the previous shocks were leaking, are adjusted to be right on legal height) - Trust Airinx pod filter - Greddy pod to afm metal air intake - Modified R34 GTT side mount intercooler (looks stock and good for 200kW) - SSR Integral A2 lightweight japanese forged rims, 17x8" front, 17x9" back (had these beadblasted and powdercoated matt black about 6months ago) - Kumho Ku36 tyres on the front approx 4months old (Will be sold with new rears) - DBA 4000 series slotted rotors on front with Racebrakes RB74 performance pads - Braided brake lines all round with RBF600 Fluid - Exedy heavy duty clutch - GTR fuel pump - 3" split SS dump/front pipe - 5" metal cat cat converter - 3.5" JASMA cat back exhaust (Nice and quiet, can hardly hear it) - 1yr old RACV heavy duty battery - Splitfire coilpacks and reconditioned ignitor module (Just before I got it) - RB25 Turbo running R32 actuator for 12PSi, Tuned by Dr Drift and made 178.6Kw - Exhaust side is wrapped in heatwrap from block to cat and painted black - Power Steering rack was recoed approx 8months ago as it was leaking - Gearbox was recoed at the start of the year as it started whining (have reciepts also had a couple of new gears put in) - Urethane Rear subframe bushes (Changing these was possiably the hardest thing I have ever done but was well worth it, was quoted $1000 for someone else to do it!) - HICAS has been completley removed, HICAS end of the powersteering pump only pumps fluid through the lines next to the radiator for cooling everything else has been removed and lockbar fitted. The only bad point on the car is a small amount of damage to the R/H rear qtr panel, there is a crack in the lip of the wheel arch and a slight ripple in the panel towards the back of the car, no paint is missing, and is not noticeable unless you really look. Was hit by some nice person in a carpark that decided they didn't need to leave their details. I am selling the car with a roadworthy so there is no need to worry about that for the person who buys it. Looking for somewhere in the vicinity of $9,000, or $8000 with standard suspension I am very negotiable so please come and have a look if you are interested. Call Kyle on 0422089059 I am located in Mill Park An added bonus with the car is a free "www.skylinesaustralia.com" sticker across rear window! 14. 2way is sold, spare housing is still avaliable, (everything except rear cover. has housing, gears, input shaft, half shafts etc.) $50
  15. I though he comapred the costs of a tassie pipeline to the desal plant which was more? There was never any comparison between the N-S Pipe and the tassie pipe? What makes the tassie pipeline unreliable and non-cost effective? Fair enough they have commited to buying green power for desal but from where, we have both government and company owned suppliers some of which are internationally owned also? Maybe the money they could have saved on a tassie pipeline could have been spent on renewable energy projects? So you want to restrict water useage more to failitate a more expensive less productive option when there seems to be another fairly vaible option that as yet no real downfalls/issues have been mentioned? If other places can viabily do it between countries I don't see there being too much of an issue with us doing it between states. There may be reasons why a tassie pipeline wouldn't work, I'm just interested to know what they are as opposed to someone telling me it's pie in the sky.....

    Need Help!

what do you mean by not enough room to push it back down and slot it in, Try completley disconnecting the other end of the pipe so you have more movement to push it on then connect the other end when the throttle body end is on....where bouts are you?
  17. *Gets pulled over for loud exhaust*......"I'm sorry sir, can you repeat that? I'm a jet engine mechanic so I'm a little hard of hearing"
  18. Someone must want a cheap 2way! The diff whined the entire time I was using it, wasn't told about it when I bought it and paid alot more than this for it. Wasn't really ever an issue to me just an inconvienence......so the whine isn't really too bad.....
  19. I can organise to have this shipped as well if required.
