  1. Yep it is ANDRA sanctioned all the info is in the link there is also a link to the ANDRA site I'm 100% sure you will have to have a welded in cage ie jap style bolt in isn't accepted, a tailshaft loop maybe and a scatter shield and I think you need a parachute if you're running 140mph, you will also need the full andra drag lic and I think they inspect your car
  2. I've got well over 300rwkw and do not lose traction after 1st gear, I have set the car up for traction and do run semi slicks as everyday tyres
  3. Sydneykid the gtst you mention did it do that 60ft on radlial tyres?
  4. I noticed Harun you were thinking of using them for Dragcombat, will that mean you have to run front runners too?
  5. hahaha Andrew sorry champ but this time its RWD only, next dyno day we'll go to CRD again so its fair to the AWD boys
  6. Hi everyone, we're having a dyno day on Monday (public holiday) 26th January at JEM (just engine managment) 3/10 Helles Av Moorebank its a brand new dyno dynamics rwd dyno The day will start at 9.00am and will be ran first in first served, so get there early The cost will be $40 which includes a Sausage Sizzle lunch It might be a good chance for everyone who's racing at Drag Combat to check their AFR at high boost before you run hahaha B-Man Endorean Birnie EAV OOL OW WOW DA MOB IRB 26T DJ984 + 2 mates
  7. Honestly that FF thread makes me want to smash them, One of them talk about having no respect for GTST's, he wouldn't know what the word respect means I'd like to teach him or them
  8. Thanks mate that would be great
  9. Are you sure that the owners of OBEHVE and Manual ran those times you quoted as I'm pretty sure Mick Stanic was driving OBEHVE when it ran its best time and Rob from CREATD was driving Manual ,I read somewhere that the best time OBEHVE has ran with the owner driving it was a mid 12 but I could be wrong I'm very very new to the drags my first time was May this year, I'm pretty sure if I had someone more experienced drive my car the times would be a lot better but where's the fun in that Also I have not compared my car to any of those cars at all, I'd just like to know what size slicks we can use hahahaha
  10. I run nittos as standard street tyres every day of the week as they are only a semi slick radial tyre At the end of the day no different then the Dunlop DO1J, Falken Azena, Bridgestone Re540 semi slicks that people use for street/track work ie a radial tyres though the nitto is better suited for drag due to the higher sidewall then the other semi slicks I've mentioned I ran a best so far of 11.8 @ 123mph with a 60ft of 2.0, I have ran a 60ft of 1.8 at lower boost but haven't been able to get the launch right at the higher boost level yet We're lucky enough to have the new drag strip opening soon which will mean we'll get a fully prepped strip which should help a bit as I do kick sideways a touch going into 3rd and 4th on the part of the strip which isn't treated Back on track though do you know anything about slicks?
  11. no idea but i'm a long way from 10's I know that hahaha, maybe a couple have done it with RB25det engine conversions into lighter cars but none that I know of with straight RB25det R33 gtst's
  12. hahaha and for a special price of $19.99 you can have one autographed and sent to you Plus $100 for postage and handling which 99% goes towards the buy buster tyres fund
  13. Mines also a straight RB25det no 3L bot end or RB26 head and I haven't taken the spair tyre or tool box out yet though I plan to for drag combat, I also thought try09s was running on slicks?
  14. On shootout mode 03 at a certified dyno dynamics dyno and operator 355.4rwkw
  15. no idea yet I really want to run the best time possible first in full street trim then try the slicks I'm hoping for mid to low 11's as is so I guess slicks will let me run a touch faster then that
  16. Yep for sure Duncan but with drag slicks the size of the sidewall is just as important to high and it wont fit
  17. Thanks Steve and what size slicks fit under the rear
  18. Harun I've started a thread in the drag section about slicks http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3800#post613800 any info would be great...Brett
  19. I'm thinking of using slicks soon but realised I know nothing about them like size (will fit under our skylines), brand, do you have to use front runners and what size rim people are using I heard you can use a Ford chaser rim which would be a very cheap option but am not to sure if this is true any info would be great and handy to all Thanks Brett
  20. Yep if your happy not running in street trim I guess it is but as I said there is no comparision with that time and the times the cars have ran on this thread because as stated on page 1 NO slick tyres We can start a new thread if you like for times ran on slicks?
  21. Mate from that responce I take it you don't think much of the splitfire coils then hahaha, I guess if its not broke don't fix it hahaha
  22. Sydneykid what about if you want to upgrade the coils for a safer/better spark and not as a bandaid, Splitfire do claim you gain XX kw from just using thier colis
  23. Steve thats got to be expected really as by race rubber you mean slicks? If so there's no real comparision to any of the times in this thread as all times are on radial tyres, I'm pretty sure with slicks 90% of the cars on the list would drop there times up to a second plus because all of a sudden the launch isn't as hard and wheel spin is all but gone due to the crinkle sidewall and grip slicks provide
  24. Sorry mate I asked PAC and they said $730, I was damn sure my apprentice paid $630 ahh well
  25. If you don't mind me asking what sort of full proper slicks are you thinking of using...Brett
