  7. AbUt tOo FiTtY
  8. For sure you can any cars are welcome they don't have to be Skylines, the $40 covers saussage sizzle and one go on the dyno which is 3 power runs wastegate boost, low boost and high boost
  9. I would like some definate names but turn up on the day is fine too, I'll be running the bbq so more then likely wont be running the BU5TER so I hope we get a few more cars to give BenM (stockish) and B-man (dyno king) a bit of competition Birnie yeah champ just turn up with the cash on the day there will be plenty of stock/dyno newby's don't worry we'll explain everything and make sure a great day is had by all Eav00l mate I hope you can get those boys to come because I think there is a big single turbo Supra coming that needs to see RB power I have also updated the first post with times etc Brett
  10. Was the track prepped when Got Boost ran his 11.9 as his 60ft sure was great
  11. Thanks I think I understand now
  12. I'm after 1 series 2 pass side headlight
  13. True true its a bit like the HPI R34's best time at Eastern Creek on a 100m prepped strip was 12.4 I think but down at Melbourne drags on a fully prepped track he was able to run 11.9 at the end of the day its hard no matter what strip we're on to get grip on radial tyres but maybe harder on some strips then others which slicks will make it more even to compare I guess
  14. Sorry mate I'm hopeless in explaining what I mean sometimes I find with my wastegate I can run 25psi or what ever I set it at above 19psi with the EBC but no matter what it always bleeds slowly back to 19psi the tuner told me I had a to soft spring in the gate and If I put in a stronger spring it would then let the ebc work and hold 22psi does this sound right?
  15. Thats cool champ I'll be on slicks some time this year too i'd say hahaha so we might as well get time list going for them
  16. hahaha good idea Tom but I meant actual HPI street drag challenge events state by state all covered in the magazine
  17. hahaha heya Tom I haven't spoke to Rick about the pics for a while I'll have to give him a call, I've got a couple of things up my sleeve for drag combat worse case I hope to better my time best case who knows
  18. Ben do you think we could maybe start a section for other imports aswell as there is a lot of other cars then Skylines on the forum Also now people like Steve-SST are quoting times ran on race rubber hehehe (slicks) we could have a mixed car section for times ran on slicks they wouldn't have to be added to the over all times but merely have there own section for braggging or bagging rights
  19. I've noticed there seems to be more and more Skylines running slicks maybe we should get BenM to start a section for slicks in the SAU drag times? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=22444
  20. Martin why doesn't HPI put on a state by state street drag challenge using the same rules as the HPI street drag records in your magazine
  21. 600x115x300 Trust gtr drag cooler, Tomei 264 cams and cam gears, greddy plenum, trust manifold, Trust TD06 25g, grex remote filter and oil cooler, 550inj (I think) they were at 80% duty at 300rwkw, big fuel pump etc
  22. Sydneykid I'm pretty sure the bars tha go down to the floor in the front secion wont fit as with every R32 cage I've ever seen the aren't as bent as under the dash as the R33's are
  23. Sorry I'm no help Steve but I had a couple of wastegate questions aswell I hope thats ok Is it true that what ever you wastegate boost is when the EBC is turned off say .7bar in my case the max it can boost to is 1.4bar ie double and to make this say hold 1 bar with no EBC its only a matter of changing the spring?
  24. Its very interesting to compare non shootout mode graphs I have ran on a few different dyno's in the last 6 months and the power curve always seems to change a bit could it be how the driver brings on the power? the ball bearing turbo really brings the power on nicely in the early rpm range I plotted mine for interest too I had to use a older power figure/sheet as its the only one I've got that has km/h and not rpm across the bottom and isn't in shoot out mode comparing the 2 average power levels is interesting too I use a few more rpm though and mine is at 1.35bar as my turbo is non ball bearing and a touch laggier by the looks of it and 7600=324 6600=317 5600=280 4600=205 Average power over my useable rev range 281rwkw Though I have ran it on shootout mode 03 a few weeks ago by/on an approved dyno dynamic dyno and operator like you WA guys like at 1.5bar which slowly bleeds back to 1.35bar due to my wastegate spring I think, it was very different for starters it made 355rwkw I know I made a fair bit more mid power by upping the boost but don't know what difference the shootout mode made is in would it be reading XX higher then on a different dyno on non shootout mode like the first figures I posted 7600=350 6600=353 5600=318 4600=246 which makes an average of 316rwkw the dyno operator tells me would be exactly the same if I was to run in SA,WA or QLD on an approved shootout mode/dyno/operator so maybe they are the only figures we can safely compare? It really amazes me the differences in the dyno's in Sydney alone I'd hate to think what interstate would be like, Sydneykid how did you transfer the speed points to RPM points to get the average power? Greppin it is awesome power your making though all through the rev range If I was you I'd be very very happy, its great to see all these RB25's making big useable power no need for a rb25/30 here
