  1. Harness is slowly coming along. Should have the the bits and pieces I'm missing for it tomorrow and I'll be able to finish this part off. Need to order some new pins for injectors and coilpacks so I can make those sub harnesses. Dbw adapter arrived this week as well so I popped it on to see what it'll look like with the silver. I think I might get it anodised black. I'd like to do the TB as well but it's a pain in the ass to disassemble. I have ordered a 350z/V35 pedal which should also be here this week. I'll have to get a connector for that and I should be pretty much set to wire back to the ECU.
  2. Yeah I'll see how I go. Had a few tweeters on the triangles of other cars. These cups are a lot bigger though. Hard to see on the photos I took but there's a bit of space in there still. Harness is slowly coming along. Have terminated the bulkhead connector along with ignition and injector T offs. Need to get it into the car so I can work out lengths for the rest of the sensors and start terminating them. Have ordered some 3/4" Raychem to cover the first 300mm or so and also the required ecu connectors for the furyx so I can start making the other half of the harness. Ill get around to ripping out the old ecu and wiring at some stage as well and start looking at mounting a few relays and things down there to power the new setup.
  3. Will 99% be going to a fury x over the g4x plugin. Onboard wideband and dbw and I can finally f**k the factory butchered harness I made off haha and give her the harness she deserves 🤣 TB and a few bits and pieces rocked up. I'm just waiting on the TB adapter i'm hoping is today. Fkn its probably about 2mm off each hole compared to the Hypertune 90mm TB.... They should change their design and match it so it's an easier swap between the two.. I started terminating the bulkhead connector the other day. Have 8 wires left to terminate this arvo and then my splice crimps should arrive today as well so I can start the ign and inj looms. New Focals turned up yesterday as well. Can't wait to test them out! The tweeter cups are going to fit perfectly in behind the mirrors there.
  4. Laid the remaining wires onto the harness and got it all ready to be terminated. Will be branching off backwards for the injectors and coilpacks so I'm in for a bit of fun there crimping them all up. Waiting for my dtm crimpers to arrive with the rest of my DBW throttle and adapters I ordered which should be here tomorrow, then I can start sorting out the bulkhead connector and marking the wires to terminal letters.
  5. Forgot to mention I ordered some Focal PS 165 SF speakers for her which should be here this week. Will look at amps once the cars all running. Started planning and constructing a new engine harness yesterday to run a new ecu and the addition of DBW. Pretty much done the front of the engine. Just need to add ignition, injectors, oil temp sensor and might possibly add flex sensor as well.
  6. Haha I was just talking about it yesterday. The link g4+ isn't worth upgrading to dbw. If I do I'll go to a g4x plugin and get them to install it so I don't have to ship back and forth. Then I would be able to wire in my front and rear wheel speed sensors as well
  7. Nah he didn't so we will see how it goes 🫣
  8. Spent some time this morning wiring up the can and power to the dash as well as the can to the TCU. Put a few deutsch connectors in to make it easier to pull them out or move stuff out of the way. Jumped into the bay and got a couple of shit jobs out of the way. Got the heater hoses cleaned out and installed. Had just enough clearance to get the clamp in behind the head drain. The new gearbox setup has dropped the back of the engine down a bit which means I have to get the cold side refabbed as the front is now higher. Got the boost doc thermostat fitting in and shortened the heater hose down to suit which ticks another item off the list. Then I pulled the oil cooler lines and filter relocation off and gave them a clean and put them all back on ready to go. Engine grounds and alternator output is all bolted up. I think the intake side is almost done apart from fab. Just have to bolt the iacv back up, clean the fuel lines out and put them in and fuel rail and injectors in.
  9. My dash wiring was a mess so I cleaned it up and added a deutsch connector so I can remove it easily if I need to. Also deleted the haltech fuel level sender thing I had in there and ran it straight into the dash. Will have to play around with it all again and try and get it working properly. Also wired up the foot brake switch back to the TCU. Hopefully I spliced into the correct wire. No battery in atm so I couldnt see which one had power on it and couldnt be bothered belling it so I used the one with the same colour at the brake lights. Started getting the dash all back in and together. I still need to crimp up the other end of the deutsch connector that goes to the dash which is Ign, gnd and can low and hi. Then off the ecu I need to get can 2 low and high and wire it to the connector for the TCU and that should complete my wiring for now until I decide to hook up the front and rear wheel speed sensors.
  10. Thanks mate. I got the deadening off ebay which was an 8m roll x500mm wide so 4m². I actually ordered another one but I just used the 4m². You will use more depending where else you deaden though. Floor and roof inso is both carbuilders. I got heaps of that but didn't use too much. The floor I think I used about one sheet and the roof I used maybe half of the 6m roll.
  11. Got most of the wiring done today. Prick of a spot to try and wire in behind the stereo there. Just need to work out which wire I have to splice into to get a 12v from the footbrake switch. Ive got 2 wires there for future paddles. Need to also work out what wires i can use going into it if any. There is a way I can wire it if I can only get one wire through with different sized resistors on each paddle. Will investigate it more tomorrow.
  12. Mounted up the TCU and ran all the wiring in. Heatshrunk the grommet onto the harness so it sits nice going down to the box. Cleaned up some of the old wiring through the dash and removed some unneeded ones as well. Still need to work out what a couple of wires are that I put in ages ago. Hoping to get it wired and interior back together this week then onto finishing the engine bay.
  13. Got the driver's door deadened on Wednesday and then finished putting the wiring and handle back on today and got the door card on. Need to decide on some decent speakers to run and install them before I screw them back on.
  14. New flat top tether brackets turned up today, so I wasted no time in getting them in. Also meant that I could finally put the back of the car together again. Found the factory underlay and gave it a wipe down and tried to get it clipped on. It's on its last legs now but hopefully wont have to pull the rear seats out for a while. Might have to get some of the car builders mass noise liner to replace it in the future. Rear seats and interior went back in. It's starting to look like a car again andd I'm getting some shed space back, thank god. Tomorrow I'll hopefully get cracking and bolt the TCU down and put the wiring harness in and start running some wires around the cab. Believe I need to run 12v in x3, Gnd in x3, Ign in, Reverse light out, Handbrake in, Footbrake in 12v, Paddle up, Paddle down and can to ecu Should be a lot easier to get them where I need and make it look half decent.
  15. Got the rest of the floor and tunnel deadening and underlay down today. A lot easier with the dash and carpet out. Put the couple of brackets back in as well as the rear feet ac ducts and then got the carpet back in. Needs a good vac but ill do that after I've done the rest of the stuff I need to do. With all the extra underlay now the foot rest didnt want to fit back to well, especially with the stock bolts. End up drilling out the holes on the footrest to a 7.5 and putting in stock cam cover bolts with worked great. Need to tuck a couple more bits and pieces of the carpet in and then I'll start mounting the tcu and wiring harness and start running some wires to it. Or maybe I'll get the drivers door all deadened so I can put it back together 🤣
  16. Dash and carpet came out today so I could access the trans tunnel easier. Removed the wires from the hicas computer back to the drivers footwell. Absolute cluster fk after that so gonna leave them there for now. Need to tidy up some other wiring in the dash that have become a mess over the years and the different setups. Managed to get deadener down in the rear footwell. Hoping to get a few hours tomorrow to do the front and then underlay them both.
  17. Tried to install the car seat brackets the other day but theyre to suit a rear speaker setup... So I've ordered some flat ones to suit. Have seen new oem style parcel trays which I'm tempted to buy to replace mine as it's pretty farked. Got the underlay down this arvo. Don't mind the birds nest 🤣 A lot easier to put down than the deadener. I took it up the firewall a little bit over the factory deadening so it should help keep a bit more heat out off the turbo. Hopefully get some time over the weekend to start on the driver's side and finish putting underlay over the hump as well.
  18. Did some more sound deadening this arvo. Gave the floorpan a vac and wipe down with metho and went to town. Absolute prick to do with the carpet in, especially in the front foot well. Friday i'll hopefully get the underlay down and move onto the driver's side.
  19. Got the new 1.32 rear housing today and wasted no time in getting it on. Little bit bigger than the old 1.0. If anyone's chasing a brand new t4 split 1.0 rear hit me up. Also got my car seat kit. Might take a look at putting that in tomorrow. Will have to take a few panels back off then I can put it all back in along with the rear seats.
  20. Indeed haha. I had a quick try of putting the knock sensor studs in but didnt go too well 🤣 might have to pull the alternator out and see how we go. The thermostat block turned up today. Will sus out getting it in tomorrow along with the heater lines. Ill have to make one of the hoses shorter as this will stick out further than the fitting I had in before.
  21. Got a few hours on her today and finished off the rear seats and got cracking on the passenger door. Absolute prick cleaning off the black shit that sicks the plastic liner on. Managed to pull a lot of it off and then use the ball of it to stick to the stuff left on and pull it off. Then a good clean with brake cleaner got the final bits off. My hands were black by the time I was done... Got a few pieces of deadener in the door, bar a piece up the top behind the handle as its an absolute prick to get to and there's no hope of rolling it. Got the roof underlay out and popped all the clips and bits and pieces off the door so I could clean and lay it nicely. Turned out pretty good and should help block the noise out a bit better. Got the door card back on to see how it looked with the new trim. Have to pull it back off to install new speakers when I decide what to put in. Started pulling the carpet up to take a look at what I'm dealing with. Bit grubby under there so gave it a quick vac. Will need a good wipe down as well. I think I'll just send the sound deadening over the bitumen deadening with the Stage 2 Car builders 10mm underlay. Not gonna be able to hear the rods knock now 😅 Turbo is back off to make way for the new housing. Should have it tomorrow or Tuesday. Ordered a Boost Doc coolant thermostat block as I cbf tapping it to suit my old fitting. That should be here tomorrow. Probably going to be a prick to install now the motors in and intake is on... My HDI 38mm billet clamp turned up on Friday, and have ordered a 38mm 90⁰ bend which will hopefully be enough for I need.
  22. Got up this morning and finished marking the diamonds up on the front trims, and got them both sewn up and glued on. Now onto the door deadening so I can put them back on!
  23. Hardline arrived today, anyone know a good bender that does AN6 and AN8 that doesn't cost a truck load? Smidge more done today, will finish the hump tomorrow and then probably move onto the passenger door. Start by removing all the plastic and black shit it's stuck to and hopefully a couple pieces of deadening.
  24. Forgot to mention that my mate picked up a 1.32 rear housing for me from down south over the Christmas break. Got it for an absolute steal at $200 and already ceramic coated. Should get it next week, so another thing to add to the list. Have been thinking about pulling the mani back off and getting some egt bungs welded on for future use, and recoated as the coating is starting to come off a bit and has some surface rust. Have also ordered a 38mm clamp for my new rad pipe to suit the new hose for the hypertune intake. Andddd new AN6+AN8 hardline so I can start redoing my surge tank lines, which should be here tomorrow.
  25. Will definitely report back, will be atleast a month off finding out though. How does your sub go going through the rear sound deadening etc? I've been looking at putting a slimline underseat sub back in the same spot you put yours. Not sure if it'll have enough balls though.
